Lees Tailor Shop

This is a busy place. Their customers must be pleased and repeatedly come back. There price is reasonable. My pants was altered by them. It's only $7. My sister have a dress needed to be altered. It will cost almost $100 in other tailor shop. But only cost $47 in this store. She was pleased by the price and the quality of the work. I will recommend this store to all my friend.

So not only did they screw up my pants (making one leg longer than the other and NOT hemming the lining too so it hangs out) they also overcharged me by $50 by claiming to have done services they did not perform (and that I didn't ask for). Disgusted I started to ask around, I found out that every one of my colleagues had had horrible experiences with this tailor and would never recommend them. One of the ladies at the front desk said she left there in tears. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website. They have a D- rating and several complaints against them AND they have at least one complaint filed against them with the NC Department of Justice's Consumer Protection Division.

The same happens here! Do NOT ever go there ! I can't believe that how they treat their customers. They seemed fast, but when I went there and wanted to get back my pants, they said they cannot find it!
The pants are not expensive though, but I am very angry. They even didn't appologize that!

Horrible. I bought a brand new pair of shorts that were too long at the mall, and took them downstairs to have them hemmed. I dropped them off on Thursday, and was told to pick them up on Monday, and was given a claim ticket.

I returned on Monday, and after searching for five minutes, they came back and told me that I picked them up on Saturday. When i told them I was out of town on Saturday, and that was impossible, she muttered under her breath, no..."you pick up Saturday."

At that point, i asked her how i could have picked them up on Saturday when I am still holding a claim ticket that says to pick them up on Monday, and she said; "oh...people pick up without ticket all the time."

Obviously, they gave my clothing to someone else, and will not admit that. When I asked them to reimburse me for the shorts ($75 might i add...) they said that the Owner was in China, and they couldn't do anything until he gets back, which would be in 30 days.

I told them that they have two days to either find my shorts, or reimburse me for them; and the lady said, "then take us to court."

I'm filing a lawsuit for breach of contract tomorrow morning. I would suggest that anyone else that has had a problem with them in the past to do the same. They do not care about their customers, and this time; messed with the wrong one.

If it was possible to not give them a star at all...that would be my rating. Avoid this place at all costs.

I brought them a pair of slacks, and when I went to pick them up and tried them on, the seam along the inside of the leg was all puckered, so I left them there to be fixed. When I came back, they were WORSE. I gave them a second chance to fix them, and when I went back and they were even worse, in fact they were completely ruined. They were brand new, and the tag was still on them, so I asked them to reimburse me. They said they couldn't do it without the owner there. I waited about 25 minutes for the owner to show up, and he insisted they could fix them. So, I gave them a THIRD chance to repair them, and of course they couldn't. The owner would not give me my money back without the store receipt, "because there could have been something wrong with them when I bought them"!!!!! Ridiculous. I'm sure he wanted the receipt so he could return them to the store and get a refund from them! Total crooks; do NOT ever go there!!

When I needed to get my wedding gown altered, I found this little shop in Crabtree Valley Mall. The parking was not so bad since I parked in the parking deck. The attendants were busy, but took their time with me and my dress. The turn around time was phenominal and I couldn't have been more pleased with how the dress turned out. The cost wasn't high either, so I would recommend this shop.

I was very dissatisfied with the service I received from Lees for alterations. As I had taken several pieces to be done and after a few pieces the attendant decided to go on to her customers who arrived well after me. I am sure if you can get their attention, then I have heard from other sources they will do a decent job for you. I think the first person there should be totally serviced before someone coming in the door gets their turn. So, I will not be going back to this business.

Lee's Tailor is conveniently located and makes it very easy to get alterations done in a rush. With a $1 charge for items returned the same, its often well worth the money!

Although Crabtree Valley Mall can be a pain to go to sometimes, Lee's Tailor is the reason I make special visits. This is the quickest tailor work I have ever had done and some of the best looking for the best prices by far. I have had pants, dresses, skirts and a bridesmaid dress altered there. All the work was impecible.

PROS: Inexpensive but quality work
CONS: parking at the mall is a pain
