When vacationing in North Carolina, we stopped in Charlotte area and found this nice restaurant to eat at. The variety of food was great, their salads were fantastic. Great place to eat.

Wonderful! When I go with a group of mommies we always get as many different things as possible. Always YUMMY! Service is great!

The Greek Isles has wonderful Greek food and you will not leave disappointed but your wallet will feel a little lighter. If you want a nice meal and don't mind a little higher cost this is the place. It is not extremely expensive but it is not a mom and pop place. The fried mozzarella is Delicious and so is all other entrees. I usually go with a large group and have tried a lot of entrees and everything was delicious. Go and eat and be happy!

I love going here for terriffic Greek food. The staff and owner are so friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious. It is very popular and always crowded at lunch... but it never feels too busy.

Greek Isles is the best place around for Greek food and an authentic Greek dining experience. Everything from their appetizers and salads to their dinner entrees are excellent in taste and presentation. The staff is fun, friendly, and inviting. They have a pretty extensive wine list and full service bar as well. A lunch favorite since I work close-by!
Pros: Delicious and authentic Greek food
Cons: Parking - especially if the weather is bad (not close to the entrance)

Great food and atmosphere

We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the Greek Isles. The food was great, the Kalamarakia were excellent and prepared differently than I've ever eaten them anywhere else, and very fresh--and the bread was incredibly addictive!! They bake their own bread and it's authentic Greek! Dessert was perfect...Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for delicious food.

Finally I found a Greek restaurant that has authentic greek food! The greek salad was the best I ever had, definitely get it when you go. The flaming cheese is fun and delicious, I had the taste of Greece which was a huge assortment of food. Great value for the money. Good customer service and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had the rice pudding for dessert it was sooo good....!!

I have been eating Greek food for 48 years. This is one of the BEST!!! Excellent Food, Outstanding Service and also Very Clean. You will feel very welcome the owners are hands on and do everything to make your experience a pleasure. The cost is also a very good value.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! This is a favorite of mine. The food is fresh and worth the price. The atmosphere is wonderful and decor is very nice. This is a family friendly, authentic restaurant.

Delicious!! But weird hours...

I've since moved out of charlotte, but had to leave this feedback. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Greek Isles. My fiance and I would crave it often - however, what's up with the HOURS?!?! We almost always showed up to the closed restaurant on the days we were really really craving it. Unfortunately there are 2 very busy bars nearby, so yes, parking can be a bear - the clingly parking attendent outside can get on your last nerve too - but at the end of the day, the food is FANTASTIC. (Dolmathes are to die for - I live in the land of GREEKS now and let me assure you, I'm still trying to find a greek-isles replacement).
Pros: Food is great - Waiters are friendly.
Cons: LOUD, Parking is a pain & weird hours.

Fun Greek Dinner

Greek food is as common in Charlotte as Ban of America branches, but Greek food you'd eat before midnight and before tying a few on is unheard of. Greek Isles menu is wonderful, adventuresome and the flaming cheese is delightful. As a previous reviewer stated, teh place is LOUD, best for a big party or to impress your family. The menu may be a step up, but the decor is less so. The entrance even felt like Skyland sans the wrestling photos.

Flaming cheese is fun!

You've gotta get the flaming cheese. Something about the fire and the "Opa!" your server will yell when he lights it gives this place an authentic feeling. The portions are very big and the lamb is juicy. We've been back several times with friends.

Great Authentic Greek Favorites

The food and atmosphere at Greek Isles were first rate, and the waitstaff was courteous and very knowledgeable. I have eaten Greek food in many places, including Australia, and this food was excellent! I had a Greek Salad, followed by the "Pikilia" (Taste of Greece), which is a combination of many Greek Favorites, including Spanikopita (*tender, flaky crust!*), Mousaka, Pastitsio, Gyro, Dolmades, Pita and tzatziki. All were excellent.
The parking was a little congested, due to some construction in the area, but the restaurant is very nice inside with good ambience. It was clean and well cared for.
There is an outdoor patio/balcony for eating in cool weather. That is where I found the owner, who took a moment to talk with me about his restaurant and Greek Food in general.
If you like Greek Food, you will fall in love with this place!
Pros: Great food, attentive waitstaff, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Parking was a bit if a struggle, but this is a temporary issue.
