I work in the office complex above Weaver Street, and I go down there nearly every day for breakfast or lunch. The quality of the food is excellent. I love their blueberry pancakes and egg salad in particular. Yum!

The staff, vibe, and atmosphere is great too. On weekend mornings, I love to take my daughter there to grab some blueberry pancakes and hang out on the lawn and let her shake her sillies out (she's a toddler). It's a nice morning hangout place.

I generally only eat vegetarian food; this place is awesome because you don't have to worry about meat broth or oils in your food. 8 thumbs up!

Pros: great vegetarian food

Cons: parking

I love going to Weaver Street for their fabulous pastries and breads, as well as the coffee. However, I'm always disappointed by the quality of foods on the hot bar at breakfast - they're always lukewarm, and I end up sticking my plate in the microwave.

Pros: inexpensive, fresh ingredients, organic items

Good buffet with many vegetarian articles. The food taste good and the price is good (You pay by the pound). My only negatives are: 1)How crowded the sitting area gets, but it is part of the experience and 2) The menu seems to always be the same ; I like the artsy atmosphere.

Weaver Street Market is a very fun place to grocery shop. The prices are rather high, however the quality of their products is high! They have great prepared food and desserts. The atmosphere of this market is natural and laid-back. It is rather amusing because there is sometimes more bikes in the parking lot than cars!

Weaver Street Market is the main reason that life in Chapel Hill / Carrboro is so much fun. The community around this market / cafe / gathering place is one of the healthiest i have found across the US. Everything you want for a sustainable alternative lifestyle. This place is the main reason that Carrboro / Chapel Hill have surpassed Berkeley as the best place for an alternative life-style.

I became a member through putting in a certain number of volunteer hours. The tasks were not hard - I bagged groceries, weighed dried fruit, etc, and the employees were so friendly and warm that the time went by quickly. :-) The store itself is really nice. They have a good selection of various health food products, and they really work hard to make sure that the products came from good, environmental friendly sources. I love the soup at the food/deli area, that's highly recommended.

PROS: great location, reasonable prices, fab food
CONS: parking can be limited.

Walk in and you inhale the flowers and veggies, the coffee and cooked food that tell you you are in whole food heaven. A perfect meeting place, Weave Street as the locals call it has it all - a cafe and mountains of delicious cooked food plus organic veggies and fruits, meds and potions. You can join the co-op and get discounts. You can't live in the Chapel Hill area long without finding yourself at Carr Mill and lounging around the grounds outside Weaver Street market. Nearly always overflowing.

Weaver Street Market is a locally-owned, smaller version of Whole Foods Market (if you're familiar with Whole Foods). They offer organic produce and meat, hard-to-find specialty items, vegan cuisine, a hot food bar, a salad bar and bulk foods (granola, nuts, seeds, grains). There is a discount for members who have joined the co-op. Ask at the front desk how to join the co-op. Often local musicians and craftspeople will gather on the front lawn of Weaver Street Market. Local music is especially common, and customers can eat their food outside on the patio chairs and tables. There's a bohemian, "laid-back" feel to the market. Definitely recommended. Take a blanket and a book and spend some time studying (or relaxing) on the front lawn of the market.
