I took the class at my high school over the 2009 summer. It wasn't hard at all and i got a 100% on the test and class. In class we learned about stupid stuff like how many ways there are to die and kill with a car. Sooner or later im gonna end up killing someone and saving my life because now i know how to crash "correctly". The class really is easy because I didnt study once at all and perfected everything. Once i started driving I was automatically master at it. My driver watcher person didnt even touch the steering wheel once. On the other hand, my partner didnt hang on to the steering wheel most of the time. They should really partner up normal people with normal and unnormal with unnormal. Oscar was my driving teacher and he rules!! So overall, the only reason the classes are so long is because of all the talk about death. Why not talk about all the good things about driving? I just dont get it. You crash, then you crash, it is how it is.

I took the driving classes here when I was 15, and this place gave me nightmares for years. I'm still afraid of driving because of them. I think the regular teacher was mediocre and not all that memorable, but she was out for a few days and we had a substitute.

This substitute lady was cranky, hated all her teenage students (who of course didn't want to be here), and made our lives hell. Her idea of "teaching" was the following:

1) Go through the textbook and read paragraphs aloud one by one.
2) Pass around newspaper articles about teenagers dying in accidents, having students stand up, and read it aloud paragraph by paragraph.

The tension was so high in one of those second incidents that someone mispronouced a name, and we all burst out laughing to ease the awful, awful tension, and she screamed at us for so long. We didn't get any more work done that day; just lectures about how much more likely we were to die because of our age and general stupidity.

When the real teacher came back, she was shocked at how little we'd done. We had to cram the rest of the textbook in in days. When I took the driving test, there were questions about things like "how many points does passing a bus put on your lisense?" and I asked my parents later what points were. My driving education was not incomplete, it was nonexistant.

This place is a waste of space. I hope they have at least minimally competant people teaching there now, because I literally learned NOTHING at this school. Places like this are the reason why so many teens crash.

The car i practiced in was a relatively new Dodge Stratus and the instructor was very good. She has a brake pedal on her side (the passenger side) and will use it in case there is a need to come to a sudden stop if the driver hesitates. The instructor was fairly patient and easy going. She even let us stop for fast food. She let me get some highway experience driving in I-485. It was good to have critique and feedback on what you can do to improve your driving. Definitely a good driving school, they also do a lot of drivers education for high schools.
