We went to Toyota of North Charlotte on Easter Sunday just to take a ride and get out of the house and to look at the outside of the vehicles we were interested in. We totally didn't expect them to be open. The facility is absolutely gorgeous and very clean. Our initial contact was with Michael and he was awesome!! Michael was the best part of our entire visit. We really like him...

But it went downhill from there. The "sales team" he was forced to hand us over to was bad. And, although, I like my new car, I have a lot of buyers regret from buying from them. I really, really wish I would have done more research and gone somewhere else. I'm not going to name exact names out of respect. They were just going to run a few numbers and the first "offer they came to me with" was absolutely ridiculous and no one in their right mind would even consider it. I think it was like $770 a month and I think they did it because they were really pushing a lease on us... Of course, our sales guy had to go back and forth and back and forth with one ridiculous offer after another. When the "Sales Manager" that the sales rep kept going to finally came out he was pushing the leasing yet again, I got kind of angry and gave him the cut it sign across my neck. I think I said something like, "A lease is completely out of the equation so stop asking."

Once we did agree on something and I decided to buy the vehicle, it was late on Easter Sunday and the finance girl was in such a hurry, I'm not even sure she said, "Hello." I apologized for it being so late and she cut me off with a curt, "It's okay." but didn't even make eye contact with me so I know she was mad about having to stay late.

Last night we went back to take our trade-in to them and the new finance person was more pleasant (we saw the one we dealt with the night before chatting with another employee and looking at wedding dresses on her computer). We saw the "Sales Manager" we dealt with and asked if they would sponsor a hole at our Little League Golf Tourney... it was worth a try... we figured we had them because we had just bought a new vehicle from them... But he was real negative and said, "the owners of the dealership never do things like this since they are in Florida."

Our new finance person walked us over to the shop to get our mats but they were would have been forgotten if I hadn't mentioned it. Then when we were leaving we wanted to go through the car wash to get that days pollen off the car but had to search for someone to help us.

Honestly, I wish I would have walked out after working with Michael. I will not recommend this dealership. At all.

Great place to buy a car! This was only my 3rd car in my life. I was not looking forward to the process. However, the group at Toyota North Charlotte are GREAT!!! I was greeted out front by Greg who did an awesome job of making me feel comfortable instantly. I don't remember the girls name, short blonde hair, but she explained every document before we signed. She was great as well. This is our 2nd purchase from this dealership and we will definitely be back and ask for these two again

Traveled to Toyota of North Charlotte Thursday evening and test drove 2014 Venza with Toyota salesman David Carter. David did a great job demonstrating all of the vehicles features during the test drive. Returned Friday evening and purchased the vehicle with no hassle, fuss or uncomfortable sales pressure. Ive owned two(2) Camrys which Ive each driven for 14 years, odometer totaling over 420,000 miles. I decided to purchase my third Camry(2014.5 L) from Toyota of North Charlotte in Huntersville because of the good reviews I read on a blog. Salesman Gary Orvis was my first connection with the dealership. He is the finest. During the test drive, Gary explained in detail the internal and external features of the car. He was honest, professional and knowledgeable about the Toyota product. I extremely recommend Gary as your first contact in buying a Toyota. Mr. Michael Brown, Sales Manager, made my entire car buying experience pleasant (like all of you, I HATE the negotiation process). With his years of experience in the automobile selling business, Michael made sure I received the best deal to meet my budget with no pressure nor intimidation. Mr. Brown can assist if you have modest funds.he understands. I also had a pleasant experience with the service department. Mr. John Ricardo, Assistant Service Manger was exceptional. So, I have made the mistake of being a good loyal customer to Toyota of North Charlotte. I have purchased a 4runner, leased two Camrys with them, and driven out of my way to have all of my service done there. I am sorry to say I have recommended them to friends and family who have also purchased cars there. On my first lease, I was assured by 3 different members of their staff that the miles you put on the car really don't matter. I told them it would be difficult for me to stay within the 36k miles over 3 years and I didn't want to end up owing a huge amount of money when I turned it in. They all said it would be totally fine, any dealership would wipe the slate clean.

Then back in February, 16 months into my lease, I received calls, emails, and mailings from them stating that I had high mileage and I was going to be in trouble and owe them $4000 if I didn't do something about it. During a phone conversation I was told if I brought my car in and traded it for a new one, they would give me the same payment on a comparable car. I spent all day in the dealership on a Saturday. The person showing me cars kept trying to show me a Prius, I liked it and wanted it. The salesman then could not make the deal so they showed me more Camrys, but still couldn't give me the same level car for the same price. So, I left empty handed because they couldn't back up their claims.

Last week I got a letter in the mail offering me a buy back on my vehicle. They would basically turn in the lease and pay off the rest of my payments. Of course they tried to scare me with the high miles again. So, I left with a lesser Camry than I had (even though I wanted an equally priced Prius) and my payment is higher. I will ride out this lease, stay under mileage limit, and turn it back in. This will be the last vehicle I buy from Toyota of North Charlotte. I will take it to another dealership to get my service done. I will most likely never get a Toyota again. Every time I start my car I remember how I was misled.

They all smile and are very nice, but keep your hand on your wallet.

I just purchased a brand new 2013 Toyota Camry SE on Mother's Day and the folks at Toyota of North Charlotte did an excellent job. We were greeted as soon as we pulled up and within five minutes we were out on the lot looking at some of the cars I had initially researched online.

We found a car with all the stuff I wanted except it was black and I really wanted sliver. James walked through both the main lot and their overfill lot to find me what I wanted - no easy task!

After I decided on the car I wanted, we sat down with Walter Hoover who carefully walked us through pricing, options and service plans. Then we met with David Watts to sign our paperwork. David explained each document and answered all our questions clearly.

Probably one of the best car-buying experiences I've ever had. The team at Toyota of N. Charlotte was top notch and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I recently purchased a Camry SE from Toyota of North Charlotte. Upon arrival, I was greeted by several salespeople. The one I got was Joe Matagrano. - a new salesperson, but one who took the time to listen to what I had to say and who did not pressure me the way most car salespeople do. Truthfully, he did not know as much about the cars yet as I would have liked, but againm, he was still new. I appreciated his ability to listen and to make recommendations based on what I had to say. He also answered my questions without the sales pitch so common to this experience. I let him know that I would not be purchasing that day; rather I would study the Camry brochure, do my background on it and would return before October to test drive the car again. As it happened, I returned the next week and purchased the car I was interested in. He turned me over to a salesperson, Randy Gibson, who was knowledgable and very cordial. We worled out a purchase price - not the best, and I let him know this. I feel we over paid, but I didn't want to drag my search on for weeks more and I found the car I wanted. Again, we did not get a great deal. A fair one, but nor anything to get excited about. He talked me through the warranty and hooked me up with Kim Veney in Finance. KIim shined. She was extremely helpful. She completed the paperwork with me and stood outside with me until my car was delivered. She installed the mats and helped me "move in" to my new Camry. When I ran out of time to go over the car, she agreed to meet me the next day and help me. The next day she met me and went over the car with me, feature by feature, and even set up my two cell phones on the Display Audio System. She followed up with two calls and two emails.

In all, I have to say that Toyota of North Charlotte has it's sales act together. Even though they were very busy on a holiday weekend, I was greeted and attended to right through the process. Follow up calls and emails occurred regularly from several people in the organization and once the sale was made, they stuck with me, especially Kim, until I was comfortable. My wife bought her Corolla here several years ago and the service department has been very good, so I feel good about buying here. We'll see how the service department goes with me over the next few years. If you purchase a car here, I would recommend fighting for a better purchase price. Otherwise, you will have a very good experience.

I was at this Toyota Dealership yesterday 11-7-10, from the very start, I wqs greeted by a young man Travis, nice, pleasent fairly well versed on the product. I informed him I wanted a low cost, economical vehicle with good gas mileage, a Yaris 2 dr Lift back with a 5 spd Manual transmission, well...ahh ...uhhhh we don't have any and I don't know if we are getting any. So we drive an automatic, same ride...blah blah blah. Then we move onto the "Sales Manager" Samantha, more knowledgable, personable, tells us we "may" be able to get a Corrola S with a 5 spd for the same price....MSRP $5,000.00 higher but she will see what she can do. Car Lists for 17'435.00 but 0% financing for 60 months/ HHHMMMM Brings back the numbers they worked out @ 0% financing for 60 months this 17, 000.00 vehicle is only 442.00 per month???? When she feels the resistance in walks another sales manager who can't understand why we aren't jumping on this deal.Get the picture and this was after no less than two hours of this BS. Needless to say no I did not purchase the vehicle, nor do I plan on returning to this dealership, I am sure even there Pit Bull mascot would tear someone a new one on this .

The greeter and the lot salesman were pleasant. The business people were unpleasant and unhelpful. They jacked up the price of their vehicle so that we weren't really going to get a discount. TOYOTA OF LAKE NORMAN'S sticker price (including add-ons) was $27,900 so our $3500 discount should have brought this down to $27,400 and then a 3% sales tax should have taken us back up to $25,132 EVEN if the dealership did not come off one penny from their sticker price. We were there almost two hours before they finally gave us a price and said we would owe them $26,003! When we asked what charges had been added on, THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US AN ITEMIZED LIST. If you have ever bought a car, you know the dealer ALWAYS comes off their sticker price some. We firmly believe that in ordinary times, we could have walked away with the vehicle for $26,003 even if we did not trade anything in. It is shameful and gauche that TOYOTA OF LAKE NORMAN will gouge consumers in these hard economic times. I am sick of auto dealers crying about hard times and then scamming consumers when the government attempts to help with this rebate. SHAME on you, TOYOTA OF LAKE NORMAN!!

My husband and I bought his car here 2 years ago. They did have employee's ready to pounce on you the minute we got there, but we like this when we're actually needing info. It's better than not getting any help when you are ready to buy! They ran our credit as we told them what price range we wanted to be in and then told us what we could spend. They even gave us more than our trade in was worth! The only thing we had a problem with was our loan terms changed and we had to drive all the way back up there to sign new paper work. Plus, those great deals they advertise..there is only one car on the lot like that...and if you don't happen to get to it first, they don't have any others! All in all, they weren't too bad to work with!

We will never go back to Toyota of Lake Norman. My husband and I were in the market for a new van and so we decided to go here. You drive in and they have these guys standing there waiting to pounce on you but they aren't the actual salesman so they can't answer any of your questions. We had a guy who had been there a month and on our test drive, he told us he was ditching the job the next day. Then as we pulled back in to the lot, a speeding car almost hit us straight on. The worker told us that is was the receptionist! I couldn't believe it! We had our daughter in the car with us and this girl was driving like a maniac! The van we drove was way overpriced too. I was able to find a cheaper van and better quality at a Honda dealership in Charlotte. In fact, when I questioned the condition of the van and the price, the basically blew me off and said they have to make their money somewhere. Don't even waste your time here!
