The gentleman who came to my home to give me the estimate was great. They provided a lot of boxes from a move they just did (I didn't mind the used boxes as they were free!)

The movers - not so great.

1. I had left a new netbook sitting in the living room on my lapdesk and cooling pad, and asked them not to move it. (I planned to put it in my car as I left.) They left and I got the house cleaned up and swept, not thinking about my netbook. That night when things calmed down I realized I had not put it in my car - because when I was sweeping the house it was not there. I called Marrin's and spoke to the owner and he said he would ask the guys who worked on my move. Well, OF COURSE, all of them said they had no recollection of my bright pink netbook. (My bad, I had only signed for the insurance by weight - and it only weighed 2 lbs at most.)

2. Close to 7pm, they just started throwing things anywhere and everywhere. The boxes, whic were mrked, were in no way sorted by room. Boxes that should have been inside were out on the deck. It rained that night and a lot of things were ruined. Boxes that were supposed to be in the storage room were inside. The 2nd bedroom on the ground floor had a lo of boxes I use for my floral business stacked on furniture. After a couple of months, when I finally got to that room and began unpacking adn moving bosxes around I discovered a very deep gash on my Lane hope chest.. I can probably fix it to look presentable, but.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The owner's cavalier attitude when I talked to him made me furious. He didn't get the lesson I was taught - the customer is always right.

The team at Marrins Moving provided us with an excellent experience from the beginning to the end! We first engaged them at the start of our process to sell our home in New York City and move to Asheville, NC, having them move several items from our apartment on the Upper East Side into our storage area in Chelsea. Once our apartment sold, they were back on the scene to deliver boxes and guide us on what we could and shouldn't try to pack ourselves. They sent out a great crew to pack and and move us out of the apartment, pick up our items in storage in NYC and also stop in PA to pick up a few items a friend was storing for us ... then the drive to Asheville NC. My husband was on the receiving end in Asheville where the Raleigh-based crew delivered our items in short order and in perfect shape! Thank you Marrins Moving for a job extremely well done!

I ask several moving companies to help me. Marrins immediately gave me personalized answer although I sent my email on Sunday. They arrived on time and kept the originally given time and their offer. All furniture arrived to my new location without any harm. They also saved me money. Guys were polite and quick.

Requested an estimate online, received a call within 10 minutes. We hired Marrins' to unload our two Pods into our 2nd floor apartment. Andrew and Jay were on time, very polite, explained the process, and efficiently and safely completed the job. I never felt uncomfortable with their handling - they do their job well. We will absolutely hire them again when we move into a permanent home. Not only were the quick and professional, but I spent almost $100 LESS than the estimate given. Great experience, highly recommended.

Don't know what else I can add to all the great reviews already here. They were professional, on time, didn't break anything, v. friendly, hustled and were done early - which saved me a good amount of money vs. their estimate.

After shopping for movers, I was releived to find Marrins' Moving. Not only did they give me a comparable quote, but they provided more services than other companies, like hooking up my washer and dryer. They also did charge as many fees as other companies for things like flat screen TV boxes. Everyone I talked to in the office was friendly and professional, and the movers were as well. They worked hard to make my move go smoothly and protect my things during the move.

We booked this moving company for my elderly parents that moved from a 5 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom cottage. My mom took over the move after we booked it and she really underestimated the amount! These guys were so patient and respectful to my parents and worked so hard to accomplish this move. 3 guys and 1 truck turned into 8 guys and 2 trucks but it was not their fault. I highly recommend their professionalism and quality!

I used them to pack up my entire apartment in Raleigh when my lease was up. In between leases I had to put my stuff in storage and it was very convenient using them because they offer storage units as well as moving services. I just moved into my new place and once again used their trucks when I had to unload my storage unit. I just felt very welcomed and taken care of by this company and will certainly spread the word.

I used Marrin's moving to move from Raleigh, NC to Asheville, NC and the service was excellent! The guys were very professional and friendly. Matt and George took excellent care of my belongings and treated my things as if they were their own. The guys at Marrins' Moving did a great job moving us from our first floor apartment to a third floor apartment with extra stairs leading to the loft. The company overestimates how long it will take to move you, which is a little frightening at first because I really didn't see how it would take 8 hours to move 10 miles down the road. But the guys were done in 3.25 hours, even in the cold and rain. And their rate is very competitive. All of our furniture and boxes arrived safely in our new home without a ding or dent. I will not hesitate to call them again for our next move.

They moved our possessions from our 2nd story apartment to our new house. The workers were highly professional, experienced, very pleasant to be around - we never heard a single four letter word - and they really knew their business. Nothing broken, nothing lost. I have moved over 30 times in my lifetime, and I have NEVER seen a move go this easily.

As soon as we have room for it, we plan to call them again to move our storage unit contents out as well.

I hired Marrins' in July 2009 to do a move--what great guys. Nice, funny, quick, efficient, careful. I discussed my move at length with Mike at Marrins'--we settled on a great rate and the perfect time for my move. All was done just as said and my furniture and valuables carefully packed and handled by the three-man team. I was so pleased with the move that I've hired them again for my upcoming move--it's good to know I don't have to worry and can just focus on the easy stuff.

When my Husband and I decided to move to Florida in June, I called Marrins. Robert showed up as scheduled and explained the entire process and services that his company could provide. After we agreed on a service and the paperwork was signed, we felt good about our decision.

On the designated moving day, the moving crew showed up right on time. They were very professional and the lead supervisor walked us through their plan and the rest is history...

The packing was wonderful and nobody scrimped on making sure everything was secured for the trip south. The truck met us at our new home in Florida right on schedule. Wow!! this is what I call service.

After unpacking every box, I found nothing broken, chipped, scratched or dented. Great job done.

We moved locally and Marrin's crew did a fantastic job. They were quick, efficient and safely moved our household. In addition they did a great job unloading the storage pod we had previously packed up and spotted at our new home. The crew took every precaution to protect our furniture and the hardwood floors. Everything went quickly and smoothly and at the end of it they beat their estimate! Highly recommended.

I have had to move 3 times in the past 18 months, 1 long distance and one within the Triangle area. By far this crew was the BEST I have had yet! Troy and his crew called 15 min before to let us know they would be arriving a little early and wanted to make sure we were ready for them. They showed up and got directly to work, asking questions and opinions the entire time. They were curteous with yes sirs and no maams, which of course I told them to call us by our first names, the respect was appreciated but not necessary. I have had a decent expierence and a terrible expierence the past two moves. As long as I stay within the Triangle area this company, and Troy's crew if possible, will be my mover of choice. I have now made 5 household moves in the past 3 years. Previous experiences with other movers have made Marrins shine well above the rest. While past moves have been highlighted with damaged furniture, dinged walls & cranky, stressed out people (me included), this move was easy and stress free. George and his crew (Matt, Whitt & Johnson) were great. Despite the rising temps (into mid-90s), the guys were upbeat and positive. They worked well as a team. I appreciated their communication & collaboration to make sure each piece was moved correctly for their safety and the protection of the furniture. My only regret- that I did not find this company sooner. The next time I move, I will only accept Marrins.
On a side note- I picked Marrins based on a thorough web review of area movers. I really investigated the company reviews. Marrins had the best reviews, and even though I thought it was too good to be true, and that perhaps one person was writing all the good things, I had a feeling it would work. I am glad I did. I feel so strongly that others know there is a quality mover in the area, that I had to write this review. As mentioned above, I have made quite a few moves recently.
Dont make a mistake and choose someone else- Marrins is truly the best moving service around.

Troy, Frank and Matt were knowledgeable, fast, careful and very friendly. I was impressed with their efficient yet careful handling of my possessions! I am done unpacking - NO breakage, no furniture damage!
And they even tightened a few loose furniture pieces I wasn't able to!!!

And the cost was right on target!

I have moved house many times in my life. Never has it been that easy and relaxed. I have lost boxes and furniture due to damage in the past. Not this time! Marrins' Moving will certainly handle my future moves!

It was a lucky break that we discovered Msrrin's on the Internet. With so much help on goods and services at a premium in 2010, Matt and Johnathon showed up at the end of their busy day, with as much enthusiasm as if it were 8AM. They moved quickly and with such care, outstanding. An all glass curio cabinet and Grandfather clock were so well packed, nothing could or did happen to them.

They understood placement at the delivery end like designers.

We can recommend Marrin's withput reservation to anybody.

Marrins' moved me from a 3rd floor 2 bedroom apartment to a 1st floor 1 bedroom apartment in the next building. I had 3 men who did a super job - very professional and polite. They were quite careful with my belongings. They were diligent and worked very hard for almost 5 hours - no laziness here like I've experienced with other movers where 2 guys are working and the 3rd one is sitting around watching. I highly recommend Marrins' - they will provide a very good estimate up front - send hard working, competent employees - and provide excellent service!

How do you spell EXCELLENT? Jeremy, Troy, Frank!!! These guys went WAY ABOVE & BEYOND what was expected of them. When your husband is serving in Iraq and you have done this move so many times you can't count anymore, you become use to the BAD MOVES! However, this company takes pride in what they say. You will not find a better local company to move you like Marrins Moving Systems,ltd. It all began with Mike who took my call. He was in the warehouse when I called yet took the time to speak with me and my needs. The price was just as he said it would be. No hidden surprises. when my household arrived (mind you we moved one block over from orginal packing point) and nothing broken not a scratch on any item. They guys took extra care in things my husband hasn't been able to use in 4 1/2 years while serving in Iraq. To many it may not mean much but it's items like that, that are sentimental to this family. Jeremy,Frank and Troy were bar none the BEST movers in the 25yrs of our moving. If you want to have your items cared for whether your moving 891 feet or across town, you can bet in my opinion these guys will get the job done. Due to water damage in our home, all furniture and fixtures needed to be stored in a Pod.
The three young men who came were very polite and professional. They were very careful with each piece of furniture; polite and quick!
I spoke to the manager Mike Cason a couple of times and he was extremely helpful, friendly. Because of the severity of the problem, he scheduled this move to begin in two days. I am looking forward to the move back into our home and have no qualms about the quality of work I will receive.

Troy and Frank arrived right on time at 8:30 a.m. They went to work right away and did not waste any time. They were very courteous and careful with our belongings. Their rates are competitive. We spoke with both Rob Marrin and Mike Cason and they explained everything very clearly. They had estimated 4 hours but our move only required 3 hours! We would recommend them highly.

This was the first time I got movers, and I went by what I read on CitySearch. Marrins had 5.0 ratings all the way, and I am not going to break that trend!

If you're looking for a moving company look no further! This company is courteous, professional, punctional and efficient. They completed my cross town move in record time, were careful with my belongings and wonderful to deal with. I have used several moving companies in the past and have never had a better experience. I wish I had found Marrins sooner. Their rates are reasonable and their quotes are accurate. I will hopefully not be moving for a long time but will recommend Marrins to anyone looking for a moving company. This is definitely the moving company to use.

Marrin's Movers are the best. I was given a call before they left their office and when they arrived the guys got directly to work. They took care to properly wrap any furniture, tvs, lamps...and worked quickly and efficiently. In the cross town move, not a single item was broken and there was no damage to any walls or floors that I could find. The guys were professional and the time quoted upon arrival was spot on. I dont think that we could have had a smoother move! Thanks for the great job and I will be sure to suggest this company to anyone who is in the market for movers!

I knew from that initial phone call that they were experienced and professional and that my property would be in good hands. The crew arrived exactly on time and they didn't stop working through the entire 7 hour move - despite the 99 degree weather. They were extremely respectful of my belongings! They took great care in handling not only my furniture but my new house as well! They took the time to protect my hardwood floors and the fresh paint on the walls. I had some very heavy pieces, including a piano and giant sofa that they managed to get around tight corners and upstairs without any damage to the furniture or the walls. Believe the great reviews, they are all true! I recently used these guys for my move and they were wonderful! Professional from my very first phone contact through the end of my move. They provided a written estimate (which was accurate), arrived on-time (called to confirm directions when they were on the way), and moved my belongings with the utmost care (not a scratch anywhere)...and on top of all of that, they were fun to work with! I've always considered moving about as enjoyable as root canal surgery or purchasing a used car. My previous experiences have helped confirm this sentiment. However, I read the reviews on City Search and took a chance. What I got was the best moving experience in my life. The guys who worked on my move were extremely professional, friendly, thorough and fast. The quoted price was very reasonable plus the final bill was actually a couple hundred dollars less than the quoted price. I've nothing but great things to say about Marrin's Movers. I whole-heartedly recommend them and would use them for any future move I need to make.

I was recommended by my realtor and checked out other references online and personally. I also met with 2 other companies. They were the nicest - they are family owned and I met the owner. After hearing a bunch of horror stories and experiencing one bad move I was highly skeptical of using a "real" mover again. I needed to keep my things in storage for a few days. Marrins' was recommended by my real estate agent and a friend had used them. They were friendly, gave me a set price, kept my things for a few days and the day of the move EVERYTHING went great. I was very happy with them and I will use them anytime I move again.

Unfortuanately a friend just moved from NY where they have nother office otherwise I would have recommended they use Marrins'. My friend's move with the other company was ok, somethings got misplaced though and the price ending up being more than they were told!! too bad I did not know Marrins' then.

Moving can be so stressful....not with these guys. I've moved every year since graduating college and it has never gone as smoothly as it did with Marrins Movers. They were easy to get in touch with, consistently kept me updated and in the loop (even called after the move was complete to make sure I was satisfied!), and diligent. Boxes were delivered to the house promptly; movers were courteous, professional, and on time. Nothing was damaged. And the best part - you get all this customer service for the most reasonable price around! They give you a guaranteed quote ahead of time, which lets you plan for your move without all the fluctuating costs.

What a great experience I had with Marrins Moving. I have moved serveral times over the course of 10 years and I have never had the best experience with movers. Until, I went out on limb and gave Marrins Movers a try who were highly recommended to me. WOW is the only word I can describe. Everyone was super professional, they handle my furniture like it was glass and the overall customer service was above my expectations. They went above and beyond for such a resonable price. I priced 5 movers in the morrisville/cary area and Marrins bet them by more than 300 dollars. If you need a good mover and want good customer service I dont know that I would call anyone else especially if you have read my experience. Thanks Marrins!! See you in 5 months.

They showed up on time and were professional, courteous/polite. They wrapped anything that could be scratched and did it quickly, which I appreciated since the fee is by the hour. Matt had complete control of his 2 crew members and it was obvious all 3 were hard workers and knew what they were doing. They were so quick that they beat the owner's estimate by almost $400.00!!!!!!!!!!! What is not to like about that? I will recommend Marrin's Moving to anyone who will listen. It's too bad my mom moved from Long Island 2 days before my local move in the Raleigh area, or else I would have made her switch her mover, who will be delivering her stuff in 6 days!

We used Marrin's for our move and there is nothing negative I could say. The guys were very friendly, they covered everything, and nothing was broken. I highly recommend them. They also were on time and worked hard.

These guys were great! I shopped around several other movers, but the way my questions and quote was handled by Mike made my choice very simple. On the day of the move I was expecting them to show up between 8:30-9:00, they showed up at 8:30 on the dot. The guys (Matt and Julio) came in and introduced themselves, looked at what I had, and they jumped right in. They were professional yet friendly. It really calmed my nerves. They were careful with all of my stuff, nothing was broken/damaged. By the end of the move when it was time to pay there was no surprise, it was exactly what I was quoted. I will use them again in the future.

I have had some bad experiences with movers in the past so I did a lot of research before using Marrins' Moving. Well it paid off! The quote I received at the time of the estimate was EXACTLY what I was charged on moving day. The men arrived on time, were very courteous, and did a wonderful job with our stuff. I would recommend them to all! They are owned by a father and son team. All of the people who I spoke to who used Marrins' said the same thing, you can trust Marrins' to treat your things as if they were their own. These folks were phenomenal. They moved our home and business from the Northeast to Raleigh into rentals for our home and our business. Guaranteed a price, were courteous, professional, timely and performed on schedule with zero breakage a 'white glove' quality job!
10 months later they moved our residence to a newly built home 18 miles away as well as our business and once again, competitive and perfect. The are new to the area but have been around 15 years travelling up and down the coast. Family owned & operated, just opened a second east coast office here in Morrisville. THEY ARE THE ONLY CALL WE WOULD EVEN BOTHER MAKING!

We have used Marrins Moving 3 times and have had EXCELLANT service!! They moved us in 2 shifts from Long Island to Raleigh (our college age kids moved here first and we followed a short while later... both times using Marrins); they even packed up all of our breakables in NY as we had to store much of our stuff while renting until our house was built!! We then used them again to move us locally from the rental to our new home. NOTHING was broken. Remember that most of our breakables were in storage for 10 months before we got to unpack finally. We were so impressed by the friendly service and accurate price quotes that we have recommended them to other people who have moved here and in the end became good friends now that they have also moved to the area!!!

I used Marrins' Moving recently for a local move and cannot begin to explain how satisfied my family was with the service! Those who know me will tell you I am extremely hard to please. I was recommended by a friend who used Marrins' for a long distance move and knew I needed a mover. The pleasant experience started with the estimate and continued through to the very end of the move. The price was exactly as promised, the men were neat, clean and uniformed and they took great care of my possessions. I would highly recommend Marrins' Moving to all!
