been a couple of visits it was declining good service. had ask the hostess to get seated. we had a couple of people at the table. hostess not want to wait on us and did it. the clothes of hostess dirty. the waitresses were not nice and the service got worse as we went back to the restaurant and no more. the waitresses would talk in front of customers the tips lousy. they said they not want to write down the order and did it. rush to get rid of us,interrupt us speaking, yell at customers when complained of wrong order and slow service. the restaurant was not busy. had to ask the waitress to come back to table to continue wait on. walked away from table while customers were speaking. brought wrong order and not volunteer to correct it. had to ask the waitress our table,to bring silverware, food, bill, more napkins, and drink. the table was dirty when arrived and had to ask the staff to clean it up.the foodcrumbs went on the floor and not cleaned up.gave bill and ran away not come back,

I had a craving for gyro, so we stopped at Athena Greek Tavern for lunch. Unlike the other two reviewers, I did not find the food to be excellent. I thought the food was mediocre. Also, the portion size was not filling. I left the place unsatisfied. Service was pleasant, but the kitchen was slow with the food.

some of my family members met up here one time, and we had great food and great service! I wish my dad would try more places more often because I'd like to find more restaurants like this one!

Wonderful food, great service, you are allowed to relax and enjoy for as long as you wish to stay. Had a great meal and spent good time with a dear friend. What a treat...The wine list is not bad either... It was so nice not to be rushed out. We ordered, chatted, laughed and had a very nice night.

Pros: You are a person not just a order to get in and out. You are welcome

Cons: None

This restaurant may appear to be average from the highway, but once you are served, you will know that you have found a gem. I have only had one meal here so far, but I will DEFINITELY return for more. I had the vegetarian plate. The least impressive part of this meal was the salad, which was made of iceberg lettuce, luscious calameta olives, sharp feta cheese, + other veggis and a perfect Greek dressing. The accompanying bread is baked fresy daily, and is a perfect blend of crispy outside and tasty, toothy inside. The olive oil on the table made a wonderful dipping sauce. The vegetarian plate has three exquisite dishes: spanakopita, the best stuffed grape leaves I've ever tasted, and thick, creamy, tangy tzatzaki. The spanakopita, a lucious greek casserole of spinach, ricotta cheese & herbs in a phyllo wrapper had a subtle flavoring of fresh mint leaves and perfectly balanced seasonings. The stuffed grape leaves are served cold, with a texture that is firm to the tooth, yet delicate enough to eat with a fork.
A full bar is available for your favorite drink or wine, the wait staff was friendly & cordial, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning to this restauranat again and again, every time I need "Greek food fix."

Had lunch there, greek salad and chicken souvlaki with a side of lemon potatoes. Delicious! Good service too. Very reasonable prices. Extensive menu and wine list.
