Kimbrell's Furniture

Almost two years a go I purchased a living room set from Kimbrells and was behind on the payments. tried to make arrangements but could never come to an agreement with Carol the store manager. As months went by i was still behind on the furniture, and out of the blue at my job i get a call from Carol the store manager demanding that i return the furniture and if I didn't she would have a warrent issued for my arrest, and she said some other things, but she was talking so fast I couldn't get all. Then not even getting any court papers, I got a call again at my job from the wake county court house and a clerk was on the phone and asked me if I would be defending myself and I didn't even know what the person on the phone was talking about, but I soon figured out i was being taken to court for the furniture, but without any court notice. I told the clerk I didn't get any court papers and the judge said that, I needed to be in the court room by that afternoon. i never showed for court because i was not property notified. But the some how the judge found in favor for Kimbrells and i had to wind up paying the furniture off in full.

I don't feel as thought i was treated fairly, Carol is the store manager and she is always trying to scare people by saying her husband is a police officer, why i don't know and it's not like anyone cares. But she is a very poor excuse for a store manager. I had to call the corporate office in Charlotte and let them know what type of person they had running the store over on tryon road. If you can buy your furniture any where elce my suggestion is to do so.

I purchased a new queen mattress/box springs from the store located on Fayetteville Street. I have nothing but good feelings about the way I was treated as soon as I walked in the door. I feel as though I received an excellent deal, items were delivered on time and set-up as promised. When I need additional furnishings I would not hesitate to check them out again.

The store manager is awful. I am not sure how he received his position as a store manager. He does not have the skills to communicate with customers and he treats customers as if they are broke. I paid cash for some furniture and he thought he was going to convince me to purchase more so that I could be placed on a payment plan. I am smarter than that. I had problems with some of the items I had delivered to my home and he did nothing to correct the problems. You should just go to a flee market. Kayla

In reference to the store manager, he is a real JERK with no customer service skills. He was not assisting me and I was happy about that. But just seeing the way he was communicating with others and supposedly conducting professional business it was awful. I declined to do business with this store because of the way the store manager was carrying on. He acted as though he was doing the customers a favor by being there. He needs to be sent back to where ever he came from...maybe the flea-markets?? He will be the cause of this store not meeting it's quotas. And maybe eventually losing business all together.The other employees were kind and helpful.I have money to spend but I will not spend it there.Not with the a**hole like the store manager. And the way he speaks to the employees, this all together another matter. I do not care to elaborate on this...for it makes me upset to even think about it. No Respect for others...I will leave it at that.

Let me just start off by telling you that I have purchased an entertainment center from Kimbrell's-CASH ( no financing as they are very well known for lping low income people buy furniture on payment plans with unreasonable interest, etc) I later wen back to purchase an entire living room set, and the total came to 1600.00. Well, I had 800 in hand, and I was willing to finance the remainder for 4 months. RODNEY the stores general manager came over to answer a question that the girl that was takng my info had, and he treated me awful. He treated the black lady right beside me like gold( he is black) and she only had a 75.00 downpayment. Her cr was a MESS, and he had the nerve to critique MY credit( a few medical bills, but regardless, a score of 690-decent) The black lady had a repo, bankruptcy and other things that she was broadcasting....saying howhe didnt know if she would get approved. SHE DID!! and I did not. He told me (n front of everyone) all of the things that I had on my credit, and made it sound horrible. The little cubicles are small, d those waiting in line to finance have to listen to everything. He felt like he was better person by decling a white. He was so racist I felt. He and I had it out over his racial preference, and he stated under his breath as I walke out the door" You know i gotta help a sistah out" to the black woman. He was rude and racist. The store has a bunch of GHETTO worers, and a timid spanish lady there. This was a while ago, so things may have changed. I know one thing though, RODNEY is an A** and he is very proud to be black and help his community. FYI- I am a married, college graduate taking some te off to raise my 2 young children. I do NOT reccent this place...You feel as though you are the minority if you aren't "of color"

Have not used them yet. But planning on it. I've heard from other people that this is great store to shop in. I'm looking a twin bed for my granddaughter and don't want to pay an arm and leg for it. Was told that you have very good prices.
