Youngs accomodated a last minute request and the end result was absolutely gorgeous. I've been looking for a good florist in the area and I found it!

Youngs Florist is the best florist in Kernersville. I am a soldier stationed in Iraq. I called and requested flowers to send to my mother for Valentine's Day. My mother was extremely happy with the flowers. I have purchased wreaths, live flowers, as well as bouquets from the florist before. The work has always been top notch. The staff is friendly also. This is definitely a five star florist.

I wanted to send flowers to a funeral of my grandmother that I was unable to attend. I did not want them to be just like any ole funeral arrangement because I was very close to this grandmother. She was like a mother to me and taught me a lot of the things that I am able to do well today as a mother and grandmother. They helped me pick out an unusual country looking basket and the flowers to go in it. Many comments came back from my family over the basket of flowers that I sent. One day my daughter, granddaughter and I were out shopping in Kernersville and the granddaughter was having a melt down that we did not know what was about. We realized that we had to stop and get her out of the car seat instead of continuing home. This is where we stopped and the staff was so nice and kind to us. I explained what was happening and they gave her a bear and a couple of other things to take her mind off of what was happening. Later in the week we took them some brownies for their kindness to us in our time of need. Easy access to Highway 150. Parking lot is gravel and small. I have always been able to get a space.

PROS: Modestly price florist
CONS: Small grave parking lot

I wasn't pleased with this florist. Young's Florist is too "young" for me. I went in there and honestly I thought I was in the Little Shop of Horrors, meaning the shop was unkempt and it was difficult to walk. I didn't like the shop at all. Many of the plants had leaves that were turning brown. I wasn't really greeted either. The person just sorta gave that stare like, "Well, what do you want?" But it was not verbal. I am sure all experiences are not like this, or else they could not stay in business. I am giving them two stars instead of one star for that reason. Good luck if you decide to use Young's Florist (going in person will help you decide whether to or not).

I received a gift plant delivered by Young's Florist, after a recent surgery. I was disappointed in the quality of the plant. Several of the leaves were turning brown and upon closer examination, the plant was very root bound. Had I felt better, I would have contacted them to have the plant replaced, but I did not feel up to the hassle. While it was easy enough to clip off the bad leaves, it was something obvious and should have been taken care of before the plant was delivered. One good thing they did was call prior to delivery to make sure someone would be home. If I were to purchase a plant from this florist, I would go in person to pick it out.
