I've never fed my pets the poison that's packaged and sold as "pet food" in the grocery store, so it was a great relief to see Wag open in my neighborhood (Creedmoor Road) shopping center (next to my favorite grocery store, ha!) which saved me from the shipping costs and long wait times to get the healthy, grain-free pet foods I previously had to order from specialty pet food suppliers via the internet. The store is chock full of great stuff, like toys, beds, tons of collars and leashes, clothing, and even sunglasses for your dog! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the owner (I've only met the man) seems very helpful and remembers his customers.

If you're interested in improving the health of your pet, and have considered feeding a natural diet, this is your place to go in Raleigh. They're very knowledgeable about proper pet nutrition needs, and will take the time to ask questions and educate you about your options.

I visited "Wag" for the first time a couple of weeks ago on Creedmoor Road and met with the male co-owner of the store and had a very pleasant experience (I have never been in the Glenwood store but understand that they are owned mutually). He was more than willing to help me with a collar under warranty that I felt was damaged because it had come off of my dog at least three times while walking her on different occasions. He said since they (Wag) were vendors of this lupine product, I could bring my collar(s) in and he could have his Rep. pick them up and exchange them out if appropriate.I returned to the store today, brought my collar(s) and encountered the female co-ower of the store. I told her what had been explained to me and she was immediately very "defensive" and "snappy" with me questioning my intent. I explained to her that all I had previously wanted to do was buy new collars and leashes to match to begin with. Therefore, I did not have to exchange out my damaged product with her but I could go to another store instead and just buy new ones. I felt so uncomfortable in the store unlike the other time I had been in there because she was implying what I was saying could not possibly be true. She had no suggestions and simply brushed me out the door after she told me she would have a talk with the man who had misinformed me.I don't believe I've ever completed a negative review before on anyone or any business but felt compelled to let shoppers know who best to deal with when you walk in the door at "Wags". I will say that they do have a nice store if only the female co-owner would work in the back unpacking dog food and let the male co-owner deal with the public.

Wag was first opened as an outlet for pet owners to be able to puchase gourmet food for their pets. Now, Wag has not only the gourmet food, but also a bakery for fresh treats and a variety of toys and clothing items for you and your pet.

If your pet takesa top place in your home, and in your wallet, then Wag is best of the bets of places to visit for your pet needs.
