I am so glad to have found this salon. I used to go to a different salon not far but they closed. I saw a posting from one of the stylist's from the other salon who's working at Samuel-Cole now and I'm so glad I followed her here. I have a reason to visit Raleigh more often now, it's definitely worth the drive. MJ's an expert at threading and my eyebrows have never looked so good! I love everything about my hair and I've already sent people your way. Thanks for a great experience!

I was really excited about trying the Samuel Cole Salon--especially because I found someone who specializes in curly hair. I have to say, the setting is nice and everyone was very friendly. And thats about it.
I made an appointment for a cut and full foil highlights. The stylist did spend time discussing my options with me and answered all of my questions. I told her that in the past when I've had color on my hair it turns brassy and that she would need to use bleach. She assured me that what she was using is like bleach and would NOT become brassy.
When I left the salon my hair was still somewhat wet so I did not see the outcome of the color until I got home. I loved the cut but was very upset when I saw that the color was completely uneven, blotchy in spots and no where near my scalp! The front was so bad that wearing my hair pulled back was not an option because there was one big blond streak in the middle of my head!
I went by and actually spoke with the person who assisted. She was very defensive and said that the only reason the 1 inch gap between my scalp and where the color started was a problem was because of the way I wear my hair! Which is ridiculous because if the stylist did a decent job I'd be able to wear my hair any way I wanted.
I scheduled a redo (which is a great policy) and the stylist was very nice and agreed that the color was not even. She added several more foils. However, once again I left with wet hair and when it dried I realized that she never even touched up the roots---at my part or the front! She totally missed the point. So now, a month after spending $200, several hours at this salon, and tipping the stylist and her assistant twice I am having to search for another salon to fix this brassy mess and touch up my dark "roots"! I would not recommend this salon.

I have been a long time client of Nichole's and I wanted to take a moment to say what an amazing job she does on my hair. I am constantly changing what I want with my haircut and hair color and every single time I leave with beautiful hair. Most recently she has altered my color so I am ready for fall.... I feel like I should be in a magazine. I have really fine hair and she has shown me how to style it to make it look fuller. I have never had so many compliments on my hair. Love the salon and love Nichole.

Carolyn is a rock star, by far and exceptional stylist who I would follow to the ends of the Earth. I have been in the area close to five years and until I met Carolyn I was totally unsatisfied. If you are looking for a cutting edge, up to date, fashionable cut that works for you then you have found the right girl at the right salon.

Always fast, friendly, and attentive! Love the wine and Parafin and the latest, scalp massage with the conditioning! Nicole is just fantastic! I love this salon and am so happy to have found it! ALWAYS an enjoyable experience!!

I just had my third visit with Nichole and each time my hair becomes prettier. Never in my life have I had such a great experience at a salon or loved my hair this much. Nichole takes the time to discuss with me what we should do with my hair and always has great ideas on how to make it even better. She is up on all the latest trends and I feel like my hair is right out of Vogue Magazine. Not only does my hair look amazing I have such a great time when I see her. Make sure you schedule an appointment when you have plans that night because she styles it so beautifully. Thanks Girl.

I'm very picky with my hair. I moved from NJ/NY about 5 years ago and would still wait til I went back to visit to get my hair done. Going to this salon was the best decision! My friend recommended me to Jen Shayya, she was excellent. They welcome you when you come in, give you a chance to sit down and tell them exactly what you're looking for, she explains what she'll do, then she shampoos with a little scalp massage, then a hot wax treatment for your hands that just keeps them soft, then finally the haircut. They only use a top-of-the-line product, bumble and bumble. There aren't many salons that are exclusive bumble and bumble users..they were sought out by BandB to use their product! Finally there's also a great welcome package including discounts and free types of treatments. One of the treatments had a value of $65! There's great incentive to go back and great incentive to tell are your friends!

I have been going to Sara Beard for years and have always been VERY, VERY happy with her. Sara takes the time to talk to me about what I want my hair to look like, the time I'm willing to spend styling it and what will and won't work. She shows me how to achieve the look at home and her suggestions about cut and color are amazing.
The salon has a great atmosphere and everyone goes out of their way to make your experience relaxing and fun. The courtesy paraffin hand treatment and a glass of wine make you feel that you're their best customer every time you go in.
I always look forward to going to the Samuel Cole Salon.

If I could leave a negative rating I would!!!!!!!
I searched for a new salon and narrowed it down to two Samuel Cole and Salon Blu. Well I wish I would have chosen Salon Blu.
So I went to SC, on 9-18, I had explained to the receptionest when I made the appointment, and the "Stylist" what I wanted to have done and she said she could do it.
I have never had such a botched up mess in my life!!!!
I went in looking pretty, and came out with a mess!! I had long layers that I straightened and it was a great style for my face, and it wasn't too young looking. Now my hair has no style at all, I do not have my great long layers, on the side I have layers that are not even a inch long, it takes forever to try to straighten, it has been 2weeks and it is growing, and now it just sticks out and It looks terrible! I called to cancel my follow up appointment and the girl said , oh you are not happy, and just said sorry. I left a message for the owner Jack, a week later, he never called back!!!
Now I have a horrible mess and it is so short I can't even get it fixed. She did not do the texturing correctly and both sides are different. I would think the owner would have at least called to see what the problem was. Every time I try ti fix it or look in the mirror, I get so upset and most times cry it is so BAD!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to a wedding in November, and I would like to go with a bag on my head!!!

I went to Jess and fell in LOVE! I decided to try her because everyone on my floor at work goes to her and loves her and I was lookin for a new style and color. she was amazing!!! she explained to me my options and what would look best with my skin tone but was very open to me not wanting ANY red in my hair. she explained the process and the up keep so i wouldnt be shocked by anything. she even wrote out what i needed to book for the next 3 appointments so i would know the cost and time i would have to allow. she was amazing and the free gift they give to new clients is even better!! anyone and everyone should try samuelcole salon and jess!

I saw Sarah (Sara?) today. I've lived in Raleigh for 3 years, and refused to get my hair cut in such a small town (I've lived in NYC, Houston, Chicago, etc.). I finally broke and made an appointment with SCS. I have had one exceptional haircut in my life, the guy who did it used a razor the entire time. I have begged people to recreate it for the past 5 years, but no one takes me seriously when I say that my hair is THICK and the volume needs to be taken out. Sarah listened to me. She even took a look at my photos. She said I was her dream client with my thick hair that hadn't been touched in over a year. She used a razor and after drying/styling my hair, continued to take out the volume. She even commented that she could probably cut the volume out forever and I'd still have hair left. Finally!!!! Someone who gets it! My hair is perfection. It's healthy, shinny and most of all, it lays flat! I'm sure she has reduced the amount of time I have to spend with a dryer/straightener. I will be back on a regular basis now.

Love, love, love Samuel Cole salon. I had my first experience there this Saturday, and even before I ever stepped foot in the salon, my service was excellent. The receptionists who booked my appointment and called to confirm were both friendly and helpful.

I received the same friendly treatment when I walked in on Saturday. Nikki was my stylist. She was SO nice, and she definitely listened to, and responded to, what I said I wanted. She did a phenomenal job. I am going back to her for my color in the next month.

All around, this was just a great salon experience. I loved the complimentary hand wax, even the shampooing sink was comfortable...it all went very smoothly. I thought the new member gift bag was a fantastic touch. Samuel Cole does business right. I will absolutely be referring as many people as possible to this salon.

I have been going to Yvette for over a year now and everytime is as good as the last. I no longer have to worry about having to spell out what I don't like or worry about the outcome. She knows what looks good with my skin tones and listens to me when I want to something different. She offers products and suggestions but doesn't push them on you...which is so annoying by the way...I LOVE HER and I will be a dedicated and loyal customers for years to come!

I've been going to Samuel Cole for about 1.5 years now, and you really do get your money's worth here. Ashlee is an amazing stylist (not to mention an absolute sweetheart) and genuinely wants to give you a good haircut by listening to your needs and concerns. Wouldn't go to any other salon.

Just went to Samuel Cole Salon for the first time and am just thrilled with the results. I was not too sure what I wanted but Niko looked at my face and hair and recommended a cut that she thought would really suit me. She cut it with a razor and really took her time to get a fabulous style. I just love it !! She also took the time to show me how to recreate it at home. She was really awesome and made me feel so comfortable.
I highly recommend her and this wonderful salon.

I went in to Samuel Cole Salon feeling like a disaster from a bad hair cut at another salon where they didn't listen to a thing I wanted.

Erin not only fixed the "mess" from the last place, but the cut she gave me is absolutely adorable! She didn't have much to work with either because the disaster place cut my hair pretty choppy and layered and it was short to begin with.

This is not the first time Erin has "fixed" a hair cut for me either. I will never waste my time or money going anywhere else but to her at Samuel Cole Salon again!

She is a miracle worker! I LOVE her! She is an awesome "artist" and an all-around awesome person too!

I recently moved here from SF and found Samuel Cole Salon after doing some websearches for japanese straightening treatments. I started off with a haircut by Jen and a consultation for japanese straightening by Ashleigh. They immediately offered me a drink on arrival, then a glass of wine! Both Jen and Ashleigh seemed very knowledgable and gave me a lot of advice. Then Jen offered me a free paraffin wax treatment for my hands while she gave me a shampoo and cut. The cut was out of this world! She gave me a really realistic expectation for the cut I picked out in a magazine - she told me it would take work but would be really cute. Indeed, it was AWESOME. she somehow managed to recreate a look on Gwyneth Paltrow that I'm sure requires tons of specialty hairstylists. Yes, it does require some upkeep, but she did prepare me for that. Overall, it was an awesome experience. The salon is trendy, the experience serene, and I can definitely say Jen was excellent and I will be going back. Oh yeah, and the price was about 50$, which I think is a great price for this type of salon. I might consider the japanese straightening although it is very expensive (>650$)..

I am absolutely thrilled! I came in today for a difficult color correction service. I was very nervous because I had not been to Samuel Cole before, and my naturally carmel/golden brown/blonde hair was now bright dark red because of my miscommunication with a previous stylist trying to correct some highlights gone wrong.

Not only were they able to fit me into their schedule, but Yvette was outstanding. A serious color professional. She listened to me, was very compassionate, educated me about the process the entire time she was working on my hair, and turned my hair back to a beautiful natural color.

I consider myself very fortunate to have found this salon. It's truly worth the drive/effort/risk to get your hair done by these professionals.

I have been seeing my stylist Nichole for two years now and have never been so happy with my hair. Each time I visit she takes the time to discuss my color and haircut and helps me decide on something trendy that will work with my hair. I feel like a million bucks everytime I leave. It is so nice to have found someone I trust to make my hair beautiful. The salon staff is so friendly and I really enjoy having a glass of wine with my visit. The parrifin hand treatment is also a nice added touch.

Carolyn did my color and hilights and my haircut, and I have to say, my hair has never looked this good. From the consultation to the end of the appointment, I felt very comfortable with Carolyn. She listened to what I wanted done with my hair and offered a few suggestions. I didn't feel rushed through my appointment with her. I felt like my hair was her top priority! My color and hilights look amazing! I have gotten so many compliments on both the color and the cut! If you need your hair done....don't wait another minute, book with Carolyn at Samuel Cole! I have gone to see Jess many times now for cut and color. She has always done a fabulous job!! She has never stopped asking me in the beginning of my service what I wanted to do or assume that I want the same thing. We have changed it up each time just for fun and I love it! Everyone in the salon is so friendly and treats you as a guest not a customer. I love this salon and Jess! I cant ever imagine going anywhere else!! Thank you Samuel Cole and Jess!!

I went about five times and every time the price seemed different, ranging from tolerably high to very high. The bill was never itemized, so I don't know what I was charged for and why there was such a wide range. The haircut was fine and the staff very nice, but given the high price, and particularly the unpredictability of it, I'll find a place closer to home.

i have been to jen at Samual Cole four times now. Jen has done so much to help me out. I found Jen through Citysearch and was able to get in to see her a few days later. I told her all about my hair crisis that I was in and she was able to offer great solutions to problems with my hair that I did not know were even possible. I had my hair fried at another salon and was very skeptical of letting anyone else color my hair again, but Jen reassured that she would take care of me and she did. My hair is finally growing out and looking great again and Jen is the reason for this!! Jen was able to look right at me and tell me what cut was going to be great for my hair type and texture and she was able to give me the color I had always dreamed of.. Thanks Jen for really doing what you said you would.. I can't wait to see you again!!!

The whole staff is terrific, very chic and hip and also genuine and very friendly.

I've been going to Sara Beard at Samuel Cole for quite a while, and I've gotta say, first of all, she's the best stylist I've ever been to (and I've been getting my hair cut for a lot of years). She's the first person who ever cut my hair as short as I wanted, for one, but better than that, she makes it look great every single time. I always walk out with a fantastic cut, no tweaking, no going home and having to mess with it. It just always looks fabulous.

And on top of that, she's so much fun! I always look forward to going, because she's so positive and full of smiles, and really down to earth. My only worry about leaving this review is that the more people who know how awesome she is, the harder it'll be for me to get the primo appointment times! :)

I went to Samuel Cole Salon for the first time yesterday and it was great! I have naturally curly hair. My hair was really damaged (I went through a hair color crisis for the last 2 months) and my curls were dull and boring. Nicole cut my hair and she did a great job! She brought it back to life! Now I have healthy, curly hair again! I would highly recommend this salon to everyone!

I had my first experience at Samuel Cole Salon last week. Jessica did a great cut and Yvette did my color. The first color was not quite right, so I called the salon and they fit me right in the following morning. Yvette touched up my hair , and it looks fabulous! Both Jessica and Yvette were very professional, and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Went to see Jen today for the first time. My hair was in really bad shape due to neglect and a stylist that moved away. Got a new cut, all-over color and two highlight colors, and it is fantastic!! I can't say enough what a great experience this was.

I went to Yvette for a change of pace and she exceeded my expectations! I wanted a touch of brunette to my normally blonde hair so I brought her a picture that she was able to match perfectly. Yvette came up with the right color and tones and it turned out beautifully. She really has a nack for color and knows what will look best on anyone. I gave very little instruction but she understood exactly what I was going for and gave me a multi-dimensional look that was natural looking, polished, and sophisticated. She did such a great job my normally oblivious fiancee noticed and complimented! She is so wonderful to chat with, too, while she's doing your color. She is truly the best colorist I've ever been to-I've been more than pleased after each visit!

This was a great experience from start to finish...Erin was the best!
I just visited for my first time and was so impressed with the level of attention and the effortless talent that Erin (and everyone there) showed throughout my time there. I am SUPER picky about my hair and walked out of that place feeling like a million! She really took the time to walk through my normal styling routine, figure out what I was looking for, and truly exceeded all of my expectations in the process.

I have just been to Samuel Cole Salon based on the reviews I read online and on fliers that I saw for a fashion show. I found Jenn on the website and decided that she was exactly what I needed to revive my lifeless, dull boring locks. i have been floundering around from stylist to stylist since I moved to Raleigh one year ago. Jenn was so nice and attentive. She was very precise and told me exactly what I needed to do to whip my hair back in shape. She recommended two colors of foils and a base color- which has made the biggest difference.. No one has ever recommended that for me and because I like to be nice light blonde, my hair looks like I have new growth after 3 weeks, but not anymore!!! The base color gave me exactly what I want and the look is amazing!!! Jenn recommended a cut that frames my face nicely and has so much life and body.. She also took the time to show me how to blowdry my hair, which NO stylist has ever done before!!! Once I got home my husband loved it!! Usually when I get my hair done he says, "I can't even tell" but this time his jaw just dropped and he said, "Now that is what I'm talking about!" People at work have even walked by my cubicle just to see my new hair and I am so proud of it!!! Thanks Jenn and thanks Samuel Cole for making this the experience of a lifetime.. I already have my next appt booked and I can not wait to return..

I was excited about getting a haircut and color, but it was a disappointment. Haircut is just o.k. nothing spectacular and as for color, it is barely visible. Overall, the result is quite dull and unexciting. I am Vidal Sassoon customer and should have stuck with them. it's just that I can't always go from Raleigh to Washington D.C. to get a cut.

After having a rough time finding a high quality salon since my move to North Carolina almost three years ago - I found it! Thanks to the rave reviews on this site, I decided to try out Samuel Cole and I'm so glad I did.

I was extremely nervous, as I had plans to cut 12 inches of hair and donate it to Locks for Love. Jess did a great job calming my nerves and helping me decide on a style that would suit my face and needs.

I will certainly go return often for trims and color, as needed, and will strongly recommend it to my friends.

I am not the type to write reviews, but I had an amazing hair experience recently and wanted to tell others about it. After having kids, my hair has completely changed. It went from being sleek and straight to being a thick frizzy mess. I have had no luck with any stylists, all promises and no delivery. I tried Samuel Cole based on the reviews off City Search. I was skeptical that anything could be done to rectify my problem. Jen listened to my concerns and recommended a different cut to complement my facial structure and color glaze. She also spent time educating me on different products and styling techniques to try from home. I left the salon looking amazing, but even more importantly, I am able to do this myself on a daily basis. I would recommend Jen to anyone looking for a change, and wanting to find a stylist who really incorporates the needs and wants of their clients into manageable yet amazing hair. Thanks Jen!

I was very excited to check out Salon Samuel Cole after seeing all the great reviews, but my experience was disappointing. After my appointment I received and email from the salon thanking me for my business and requesting I write a review on Citysearch. After thinking a great deal about my experience, this is my review.

I visited the Salon on a Monday morning, which is their least busy time of the week. It was quiet, and everyone I saw was nice and friendly. I had long hair when I came in and I told the stylist to cut a couple inches and I wanted it to be below shoulder length. I normally wear my hair straight, but it has a natural wave to it and a tendency to frizz. Versatile hair was my goal- something that would allow me to let it air dry and be wavy or that I could wear straight. As for the length, I wanted it to be below shoulder length.

The stylist cut my hair and then showed me how to use curl product by twirling my hair into sections to make it dry curly without frizzing. My hair seemed shorter than I had wanted and shorter than she told me she would cut it, but I was hoping it was because of the curls. It wasnt.

The stylist told me the best way for this hairstyle to work would be for it to air dry and to try to avoid touching it for a couple of hours. My hair air dried in a couple of hours and had a lot of frizz. My husband hated it and he was right, it looked bad. The technique and the product she used may work well for some people, but it did not work on my hair. So I washed my hair to get all the product out and tried to blowdry it straight. Even straight my hair was a lot shorter than I had hoped. Because it was so short,and my hair is wavy it took a long time to try to get it straight and to avoid frizz. I dont think I was entirely successful, but I tried. After blowing it out I noticed that one small section of hair in the front was a lot longer than the other hair around it.

The salon was very nice when I called about it and asked me to come back in that evening. Coming back into the salon was a bit of a pain because I have to find someone to watch my daughter, but I really wanted my hair to look good.

The stylist dry cut that one section and cleaned it up a little. She also cut the layers a little so they did not seem so blockish. She was very nice and professional throughout.

The bottom line is that even after the stylist fixed my hair the second time, my hair looks somewhere between okay and not very good. The way the layers fall gives my hair a triangle shape around my head that is not very flattering. Even though I was looking for an easy hairstyle, I now have to spend 2-3X as long trying to get it to look passible. I get a lot of oh you got your hair cut. (silence) from people that have seen me. Instead of that great feeling you have after getting a great cut, I look in the mirror and feel sad. The more I look at it the worse I feel.

Clearly some people love this salon, but I dont think it works for me. I would not recommend it.

I Googled balayage-hair painting because I was looking for an alternative to highlights. This salon came up and I went to the website--which I really liked. The website listed the services offered and their prices, as well as the stylists and short bios. I narrowed my stylist choices down to two that I thought might match my personality and made a call to the salon. Nichole was available on dates that were good for me and I didn't have to wait 4-6 weeks for an appointment. The salon called two days in advance to confirm my appointment-not something all salons do. When I got there the receptionists were very inviting and friendly, they offered me something to drink (coffee, tea, water). My appointment began on time, and Nichole was very nice. The salon offers a free parrafin hand treatment with each cut if you choose to do so, so I took advantage of it. Nichole asked me several questions about how I like to wear my hair, how much time I want to spend fixing my hair, and other questions about what I hoped to get from this style. Then, she gave me some advice about what she thought I should do based on my answers to her questions, and my face shape. We also discussed the possibility of balayage, and how the cut would accentuate any coloring I did later. I told her to go for it and do what she thought was best. She cut and styled my hair and it looked great. She asked me politely how I was with my hair products, but never pressured me to buy what she used if I expected to have good hair in the future. I occasionally will buy product, but not if I feel pressured. I scheduled a balayage appointment for next week, and I look forward to seeing the results. This morning, I was able to almost redo my hair the way Nichole had styled it, and without too much work. It is a 1-1/2 hour drive for me, but well worth the time. Give them a call and schedule a cut the next time you want a new styling experience.

I was SOOOOO afraid to go and get my hair colored because I have VERY dark brown hair and I get it done VERY Blonde! I have only had one other hair dresser almost my entire life, and I was soooo nervous. In fact, I had tried one other place in the Raleigh area and the lady turned my hair orange. However, as soon as I got there Yvette made me feel very confident in her coloring ability. She was very reassuring, but I was still nervous dreading that my hair might turn orange again, and when she washed out my color is looked GORGEOUS! It was such a pleasant surprise and relief. She is VERY nice as well. THANKS Samuel Cole and Yvette!

I have just recently started going to Samuel Cole Salon. It is so nice and modern on the inside. Both experiences I have had there were amazing. The front desk staff was so nice. They had a nice selection of wine. Jen is the stylist that I see and she is so attentive. I had never had my hair colored prior to going to Jen, but she eased me right into it. This second time I actually got highligthts and they were exactly what I asked for!!!! Jen always gets the cut right everytime as well. You should definitely give this place a try and ask for Jen!!!

I've been in Raleigh for 6 years and have had a hard time finding a great stylist at a reasonable price. I called at the last minute and got Niko to cut my hair. She really took her time and asked me lots of questions about the new style I was looking to achieve. She did a phenomenal job. The cost wasn't too bad. Her fee was $45. I can't see paying more than that for a haircut. The problem came in when I wanted to add a tip to the charge, but wasn't allowed to do that. I had to return the next day with cash in hand. .... a bit embarassing! (take note new customers!) I also ended up spending $50 in product....(I got caught up in the beauty of it all). I must admit though, I look younger and chic. It was worth it! I'll visit her again.

the salon is beautiful! i have been to this salon about 6 or 7 visits now and have never been anything less than amazed by the front staff, the owner Jack and Jess. She is great. She has taken time with me before every service to make sure I am still happy with what we are doing and if there is anything else more she can do for me. She is so fun to talk to and laugh with. My husband drives over an hour with me every appointment just so I can come to this salon to see Jess and come out happy and beautiful!! You will not be left unsatisfied if you go to this salon, esp. if you see Jess!

I love this salon. From the outside you do not expect the amazing atmosphere you are about to walk into. The front desk was great and very friendly. They got me a glass of wine while I waited on Jess to come up front. She was running on time which is not something you see around here very often. She was fabulous. She listened to what I had to say first and told me that she thought I needed a little less layers and just a little bit of length off. She was great. I made an apt for highlights and I cant wait to go see her again!! Thanks Jess!

Samuel Cole seems keen on client satisfaction, and that means a lot in today's day and age. As other reviewers have noted, the front desk is warm and engaging. Most importantly, my new stylist Britt did a beautiful job cutting and styling my hair. I am grateful as I came in with messy, unkempt half-grown out layers. Britt created a sophisticated and chic coif which was great for my face. I specifically asked to look "edgy" and she gave me a gorgeous cut that you might see in Europe, downtown Seattle or among the NYC arts crowd. Along the way, she gave me great insider hair tips, and couldn't have been nicer. Although I returned to tedious, grim conference calls for the rest of the afternoon, I looked all set to stroll down Madison Avenue with a pedigreed chihuahua, or sample Loire Valley burgundies in a cafe along the Champs d'Elysees. Thank you Britt for the elegant haircut and for your charming personality!

I was so scared to find a new stylist in NC after moving from a salon that I loved on Newbury Street in Boston. After a brutal trim at a certain Chapel Hill salon - I braved Samuel Cole and was THRILLED.
Erin is wonderful - she listens to you and does what you want. I trusted her to get my cut and color ready for my wedding (as a blonde). Since then she's made me a red head and now a brunette! (And I'm not a really wild-hair person -- it's just nice to have someone you can trust).
I liked the salon so much that I referred my mom - who now sees Ashley for her hair (and loves her).
Also - for my wedding Erin, Ashley and Erica Lockhart came out and did the hair for almost the entire wedding party. (1 bride, 1 mother of bride, 1 aunt, 1 grandmother AND 7 bridesmaids)! Every single person loved what was done and guests even commented on how pretty everyones hair looked.
I'd highly recommend Ashley or Erica and especially Erin for cut, color or even an updo.
