Pros: ZERO

Cons: Go there to be disappointed.

Went with friends and family for lunch, and the staff didn't even bother to talk to us. It is not that the place was crowded, the staff just didn't seem to care. Very poor service. Won't go there again.

Pros: Food is ok

Cons: Staff is unprofessional and rude

I have eaten at cinellis several times and it never seems to amaze me how rude the poeple are that work there. The service is horrible. I had a problem with a dish I had ordered and asked to speak to the manager. A heavy set women came over and said she was the owner. She was rude, had an attitude and extremely unprofessional. I hope thats not the owners wife because she needs to be fired asap... everyone i speak to says the same thing so i really beleive that all these "good" reveiews are from friends and family. I will never go there again

We have been meaning to try this and finally did. It was good but a bit pricy for what we were expecting. There are so many good pizza/Italian places that are more reasonable that we probably won't rush back.

Eaten at Cinellie's a few times both times the wait staff seemed a bit rude and blunt. Basically you sit down, they ask what you want to drink, come back and take your order. Never was checked on and when my food came out cold the waitress looked at me is disbelief. Waited about 15 mins for it to some back out again. Very disappointed. The waitresses need to get their attitude in check. As a waitress myself I know its not hard to be a even a small bit welcoming and friendly to a table.

I?ve worked, and eaten at Cinelli?s for nearly 4 years! I love working there, I can never seem to leave. Most of these comments are bogus! Anywhere you go to eat, you will find positive and negative comments, pick any restaurant and read the comments. As far as the negative comments about the food, I?m sure you all are the ones that complain about the food after you?ve already eaten the WHOLE dish! You are just a cheap, waste of a table space, con! If you?re going to be so critical eat at your own house. Every restaurant has their own interpretation on what a dish should taste like, don?t expect it to be exactly how you like it, and don?t come in expected to take this and that out and add this and that?it?s not going to happen. Oh and don?t even think about bitching about how you?re charged for all the changes. As for the staff if we are soo rude, ?trashy?, and incompetent why do we always have a wait on Friday/Saturday nights? We can?t be that bad..As far as the owner and his wife are concerned, they are two of the best people I?ve ever worked for! They are kind, generous, and understanding! They have always been there for me and anyone else I?ve worked there with.

**This is especially dedicated to youwillgetit?who the hell are you?Sounds like you are sorry excuse for anything.I believe that it?s immature and rude; to post such a BS comment on citysearch?do you have a life?I think that maybe you should be in school somewhere learning how to spell! You spelled 5 words wrong in a paragraph, you must be one dumb chick. She gets female employees fired are you crazy? There are only 3 male employees that work there, as opposed to the 14 female employees. Her husband does not hate anyone except maybe you! I think you are taking your depression about having NO ONE in your life out on others. Please get over yourself & move on

Pros: Food,Owners,staff

Cons: sometimes we give losers a chance, and they screw us!

For the past five years I have been working for the Cinelli family. The Cinelli's have become my second family. I am apalled with the comments made previously about the owner and his wife. She is not only my boss but has become a very close friend. She is very concerned about the staff that come to work for her. She works very hard to train knowledgeable and friendly servers, while her husband trains the cooks, making every dish served authentic. Not only is the care of the employees a top priority, but the care of every customer that walks through her doors, making them part of the Cinelli family. The food is authentic, as the owner grew up in Italy, and the food portions are extremly large for the money spent. I would highly recomend Cinelli's to anyone. Whether you are out on a date or taking your large party out to dinner. And the servers working there are not "trash". The trash left when Brianna was fired. So please stop writing these false accusations, Brianna, you've been gone for over three years. Enough is enough.

If you want a place to go where its friendly, up beat, and just all around a great atmosphere Cinellis' is the place to go! The working staff has great chemistry and the management is wonderful. Problems happen like every other restaurant, but they make up for their mistakes. The owners are very involved and always know whats going on with their business. The Cinellis are great people, and a run a great restaurant. Reading a previous remark from 3108 sounds to me its a just a disgruntle ex employee who has not got over losing her job and you can tell she is still very upset about it. And by the way I know Mrs. Cinelli personally and all of her staff comes to her for advice, problems, and she is always there for them!

We used a restaurant dot com coupon as an excuse to try some new food in the Cary/Raleigh area. Overall we were not impressed at all. The food quality was ok but the prices are high end for this environment and service. We felt more like we were in a college sandwich shop but at the prices - we knew we weren't! : $19.50 for veal piccatta w/ a small salad, $18 for fettucini alredo with small salad and chicken, $6 tiny kids raviloi plus $1.50 for the drink (who doesn't give the kids a break to get mom/dad to come in!?) and $8 for a pepperoni pizza roll with peppers and onions..... we made it to $60.48 for me, the wife a 15 and a 4year old. Whew! Using the rest dot com certificate mandates an 18% gratuity. Service was friendly but drinks went empty, frequent requests had to be made for napkins, etc.

For out first visit - not impressed. $60 to us means Outback, Oive Garden, TGIFriday's, etc. On a good note, the sweet tea was great!

Food is very good. Howver the service has really gone down hill. Wife ordered a beer but was not given a glass for 15 minutes. Eating here has become very expensive. We had "Grandmas Pizza" with two toppings. My bill was $36. (Just for a pizza). Each topping was $4.50. The cost might have been described on the menu, but I could not find it. Think I'll go back to the Olive Garden where I get a good meal for the money. They don't seem to be interesrted in good service anymore.

arrived at 12:30pm on a saturday to an empty restaurant. A shy waitress took our order and brought us rolls that were actually pretty good. for lunch, we had pizza slices and salads. the pizza seemed to be new york style and the salads were pretty generous. however, my bill reflected a $1.50 charge for mozzarella cheese on a $3.00 salad and a $1.00 for pepperoni on two slices of pizza. i complained about the cheese to my waitress but she made no concession. yes, i can afford $1.50 but i wont be going back.

I dined at Cinellis this past Sunday night, the food was amazing. I had chicken marsala, it was by far the best italian dish I have ever had and I eat Italian food on a daily basis because i myself am Italian.
My daughter odered a New York pizza. I tried that as well and I am addicted I will never eat Dominos or Poppa Johns again thats for sure. My server was friendly and prompt and was very knowlegable about the items on the menu. I highly recomend Cinellis to anyone who loves Italian food because it is simply the best!!!!

Don't mind the other reviews. Cinellis is by far the best pizza in Cary. I haven't had any pasta, but the SPECIALIZE IN PIZZA. I was dissapointed in the fact that management changed the menu. Pop's Pizza can only be served in a medium. The waiter said that some people would feed a party of 6 and get a large Pop's Pizza and cheat the system, if you will.

If you haven't visited Cinelli's yet...get ready for authentic and really great Italian food. While the waitstaff is mostly teens and the atmosphere very casual, the food is outstanding! The Penne with Vodka Sauce is outstanding, as is the Shrimp Sorrentino. There's a Cinelli's in Durham too, but they don't have the full menu (sad, b/c the Durham location is about 5 mi. from me and I'd eat there 2 nights/week if I didn't have to drive to Cary). The pizza is great too. If you love Italian food, but aren't looking for the most romantic atmosphere, visit Cinelli's in Durham or Cary.

It was my first time at Cinell's last night, and we had a great time. The service was excellent. I have two small children and the waitress went out of her way to be friendly and courteous. The food was excellent! We ordered a large white pizza with spinach, cheese pizza for my son, salad, and garlic twists. They also serve these wonderful yeast rolls with your meal. The rolls were great keeping the kids occupied (9 month old and 3 year old) before the pizza came. The whole bill was less than $25.

All I can say is thank you Cinelli's! I have been in the triangle for 3 years looking for passable NY style pizza and then someone reccomended Cinelli's to me. It's all history from there, I have found the place that makes my childhood memories come back to life. Your Grandma's pizza is exqusitely light, crispy, and flavorfull, what more can be said. All you others that find the food at Cinelli's "hyped up" and not worthwhile, I don't think you have any idea about what good Italian food is and you have no basis for even writing these reviews.

We moved to Cary from upstate NY last summer and have tried as many restaurants as possible in search of good NY style pizza. Cinelli's is by far the best. We even take our relatives here and they love it too. The only thing they need to add to their menu is chocolate cannolis. Then they will be absolutely perfect!!

I remember places like Cinelli's back in Queens and Brooklyn growing up. The food is oustanding - there is nothing on the menu that I have had that I would not recommend. The service is casual and always very friendly. We go there at least once or twice a month and we always run into friendly faces among the customers and staff. Be prepared to take part of your meal home - the serving sizes are huge. My top recommendations would be the Penne Rustico or the Tortellini Carbonara. Both are awesome.

This is the 3rd time eating at this restaurant, each time progressively worse. The 2nd and 3rd times have been because it was a friend's birthday (who requested to try it) and the 3rd time was because they advertised internet connections (which wasn't true). The food was terrible, cold when should be warm, soup was burned tasting, told side salad was $2.50 and charged $3.00. Promised cannolis because of the problems - then another person said they wouldn't give them to us. Overall, terrible. I will tell everyone I know not to go to Cinelli's. Now I know why hardly anyone was in this restaurant at lunch time.

Promised cannolis because of the problems - then another person said they wouldn't give them to us. Overall, terrible. I will tell everyone I know not to go to Cinelli's. Now I know why hardly anyone was in this restaurant at lunch time.

.

Lasagna is almost like soup not upright. Onwers don't care and were not at all friendly.

I have been a regular at Cinelli's for several years and have found it to be a great Italian restaurant and Pizzaria. The owner, when present---he also owns Frankie & Dinos, can often be found chatting with customers when not too busy. When things are busy, he is out there cleaning tables to help the flow move smoothly. I have taken many New Yorkers and other Yankees there and they all could not believe how good the food was---often as good or better than back home! And contrary to a couple of negative reviews, I have always had a rare problem corrected to my satisfaction.

We just moced to the area and were looking for an italian place to eat. Cinellis Pizza seemed to be the place, we were greeted promptly to a bright table. The hostess was very nice. We ordered a New York style pizza, very delicious!! Our server was very rude, she talked on the cell phone while we were there! But everyone else was very friendly. As we were leaving even the cooking staff said have a good night!

Finally, a restaurant in the south that serves authentic Italian food AND makes you feel like one of the family! Hailing from Philadelphia, I know an Italian or 10, and this place gets it right. From the friendly staff, to good food, to an owner who will actually speak to you like a friend of the family, this place rounds all the bases! I recommend this place to ALL my friends, and take all my "yankee" visitors to visit as well. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

I've had Pizza in lots of big citys in the USA. I've also had pizza in quite a few Italian citys and this pizza is as close as it gets. My wife is Italian (born and lived in Italy untill 5 years ago) and she also thinks they make the best pizza she has had in the states. The pizza sauce is fresh and simple like it should be. The owner always makes a point to talk to us (in Italian) and the cannoli... MMMMM. What else do you need?

As a new resident in Cary, I have been on the search for an Italian restaurant that is casual, inexpensive & obviously has good food & nice pizza. The service was excellent, Brianna our server was friendly, knowledgable about the menu and a delight to have to deal with for the hour & 1/2 that we were there. We recommend Cinelli's highly for an Italian casual dining experience where the food & service are upper crust.

Great food, great service, huge portions, the hustle bustle of a NYC Bistro, the taste of an Italian Trattoria, right here in Cary.

Growing up in a strong Italian family, I have certainly learned to appreciate good Italian food. Not too often do I come across Italian food that is as satisfying as my family's; however, Cinelli's definitely hits the spot! With such a great variety of both pizza and pasta, you can enjoy the Pizzeria no matter what type of mood you are in. The pizza is great, especially the Grandma's, but the Eggplant Rollatini is the best!

The moment I walked through the door,I knew I was at home. It is very hard to escape the corporate cookie cutter,or down -home,southern style dining options that seem so prevelent in Cary. Dining at Cinellis is like going home to NY without jumping on a plane! After reading some of the less complimentary reviews, I can only conclude that the witers have never,or have no desire to visit NY. Several NC natives suggested I head straight to the Olive Garden for some great Italian food, I had to laugh. Cinellis is the real deal, with all scratch-made sauces and portion sizes that would make any Nona proud. The staff was both laid back and professional creating a family style atmosphere reminiscent of Sunday dinners at home. If you are seeking a quality Italian meal with a glimpse of New York , you must experience Cinellis for yourself!

Cinellis is an overall fantastic restaurant. The atmosphere is good for any type of occasion, like going on a date or going out to eat with family and friends. The restaurant has a small and cozy atmosphere. The service is always prompt and friendly. The authentic New York italian food keeps people coming back for more. My favorite pizza is their specialty grandma pizza. Their prices are moderate for the high quality of food you get. If you are looking for a great Italian food restaurant for a reasonable price, I strongly recommend the dining experience at Cinellis Restaurant.

Cinellis is an awesome resturant. The excellent service and food keeps everyone comming back for more. They have by far the best pizza in town and amazing pasta diches such as Penne Rustico, Pasta Vodka, and Tortellini Carbonara. The atmosphere is great with the relaxed outside patio or the more upscale, inside area. If you have not been there yet, you should check it out because you'll relize that you are at the best Italian resturant in town!

I can't even begin to tell you how good Cinellis Pizza is. It is by far the best in town. To start with, the pizza is the best. Grandma's, Sicillian, and New York's Pizza are all the best. Either one and you'll be satisfied. Any of the pastas that I have tried have been amazing. And for the kids, there's also chicken fingers, fries, and sliced pizza, which will go over very well with them. If you haven't been to Cinellis, you need to stop by and try it. The service is quick and friendly.
