Be good to your self

by Lou Benoit

The care received at Moonshadow is definitely designed to meet the specific unique needs of each individual. I go for a massage every three weeks to maintain flexibility, but the help received from Miriam goes beyond the office. I have been given exercises that can be done at home and work to strengthen my weak spots. My goal is to one day just go for a relaxing non- therapeutic massage and totally enjoy the comforting environment of soothing music and candles.

Pros: Personalized treatment and Location

Quality care

by Garp

I've had a pregnancy massage and some deep tissue work done by the staff at Moonshadow. These experiences were excellent each time and I walked away feeling less tension, refreshed and relaxed. They listen carefully to your concerns and target their treatment to the problem/affected areas. I would highly recommend them and only wish I could personally afford to go more regularly for such high quality treatment.

Pros: Very professional, attentive to patient concerns.

Excellent for back pain, stress release, and well being

by NatD

Every time I come in, I feel relieved physically and emotionally. Miriam listens, offers guidance if one is needed, explains everything and answers all my questions. If the session is scheduled for an hour, the actual massage lasts for an hour, which is not the case in many places in Triangle.
I have worked with quite a few professionals in the Triangle area, due to the back pain and severe muscle spasms, but she is by far the best.
She makes the client comfortable, she alleviates the pain and tension, and shares a wealth of information regarding the diet, exercises and stress relaxation. Every time I leave, I can't wait to be back. I wish I could come in weekly.

Pros: Professional, knowledgeable, experienced & courteous staff

Cons: none

Relaxing and Therapeutic

by kwestmo

Moonshadow is an excellent massage therapy location! I've had massages by several different people, and Lisa is by far the best massage therapist I've had. I like a lot of pressure during a massage, and she has the strength and skill to do this. She also takes the time to listen and learn what you like and what you need beforehand. Highly recommended!

Pros: Great massage, Atmosphere

Best Massage to Unwind a Stress-filled time

by Jackie W

The deep massage relieves the stress and heals the twisted knots in the neck and back. The relief makes facing the next challenge a fresh opportunity instead of another beating. Moonshadow is the best.

Pros: The massage disolves the stress

Cons: No drawbacks

The staff are highly trained professionals. They put you at ease then teach you how to help yourself with stretches to manage your problem muscle groups. I have really grown to depend on them and have learned a lot.

Best Massage Experience in the Triangle

by dante107

Lisa Barr is the only associate I've had the pleasure of receiving treatment from at Moonshadow, and she's fabulous. She takes time at the beginning of a session to check in with me to see if any new pain has popped up, and works those areas into my normal massage. I have sent a few family members to Moonshadow as well, and each have been seen by a different associate, all with rave reviews. I adore the environment and atmosphere. My only regret is I can't get out there as often as I'd like.

Pros: Incredibly reliable, affordable, and a wonderful environment

Cons: None

Best Massage... EVER

by mkappy8

I have chronic back pain and Lisa relieves it for a few weeks at a time. Without my massages, I wouldn't be able to be as active as I am. This place is very welcoming and they really listen to your problems and address each person individually. I highly recommend Lisa at Moonshadow!

Pros: Friendly, relaxing environment, great hands

Cons: None

Worth the drive

by needlenutpro

I live in North Raleigh. I will drive to Moonshadow without a doubt every time. Peter is the best.

I have a bad back and my work often leaves me with knots from my neck down to my tush. I am confident Peter can resolve what ever issue I may have. He is gentle yet has the strength to truly exert the pressure needed to relax the muscle.

If it weren't for the economy I'd visit much more often.
MoonShadow is by far the best.

Pros: professional, thorough, courteous on and on

Cons: not a one.

Wonderful place for a Massage

by Senseney

I have been going for over 2 years and consider it essential for my body's health and well being. I can count on them to take care of any strains or lower back aches. Their massages were critical to my recovery from a bad fall. You are in good hands with experienced people there.

Pros: Experts at back problems

Knowledgeable Staff Makes It More Than a Massage

by johncarync

I am extremely impressed with the staff. I have had other massages elsewhere and they just kind of do their job. The staff at Moonshadow will sit down with you, discuss your muscles, give you tips on how to properly stretch, and then give you a massage. The stretches have helped my muscles immensely. So it's more than just a massage, it's a place that teaches you how to feel better all the time.

Pros: Well-trained staff, atmosphere, serenity

Cons: Wish they'd do it for free :-)

the best massage that I've ever gottn

by blrobins

I've been seeing Lisa for about 6 months. My previous therapist had moved out of town, and I didn't think that I would ever find someone to replace her. Well, I did and Moonshadow is a keeper. I have recurrent issues with my shoulders and back, and Lisa helped me to figure out it was misaligned hips. Through some self adjustment excercises on my own, I am walking better than I have in years. I vist once a month, but wish my pocketbook allowed once a day!

Pros: great therapists, flexible and open schedules

Cons: none

Convenient and Feeling Great

by sfm27560

I love how I walk away feeling 100% better than I did when I walked in. I love my girl Sami!

For me, it's a very convenient location not only from home but to other places of business I frequent. Even if I didn't live so close, I would definitely make the longer drive just to get my massage.

I have shoulder/nerve issues and I get migraines. Sami really helps relieve my discomfort and pain for a good amount of time.

My husband also returns home feeling refreshed and relaxed. He loves it there, too!

Pros: Location, Staff, Results, Price

Cons: I'm not able to go everyday!

Great staff!

by Hotman

I'm a huge fan of Moonshadow Massage. I've gotten three types of massages (regular, hot stone, and pregnancy) and can highly recommend them all.

Peter is wonderful and my husband likes Sami.

I drive 40+ minutes just to go to Moonshadow!

Pros: Great staff, good price

Excellent massage & occupational therapists

by smlorden

The therapists are trained in occupational therapy, so you can get anything from a wonderful relaxing massage to specialized therapy on specific problem areas. It's great treatment for the all-day computer user/desk job types. I've been to many massage therapists, but have found this group to provide the most effective treatment.

Experienced and Caring

by uctutor1

I am definitely a tough customer when it comes to massage. I had been receiving massage therapy from a wonderful therapist prior to my move here a year ago. Upon my arrival here, I spent a long time searching for a therapist that was extensively trained, caring and had experience working with people suffering from chronic diseases. I found all of this in Miriam.
She always takes the time to listen, as conditions can change over time, to make sure that the client receives the most benefit from the session. She also makes the time to keep up to date on the latest techniques.

Pros: Extensives hours, great staff, good parking

Cons: busy, so book ahead

A great massage!

by jj632

I have always been a little uncomfortable with massages, and the last time I had one from a new therapist (at a pricey day spa in Arizona) I ended up in physical therapy after she injured a back muscle. After several friends recommended Moonshadow, I went there with some apprehension (a literal bundle of nerves). My experience was very positive; Peter has worked with me to optimize the depth of the massage and the individual areas that need to be worked for my conditions. He is very professional and takes a great deal of pride in his work. My husband is equally pleased with Sami's massages. Great place, reasonable, caring--I would recommend to anyone!

Caring, Comfortable & Relaxing

by jendon

I have been going to Miriam for quite awhile for chronic muscle pain, and she has helped me so much! I continue to go every couple of weeks for maintenance and I look forward to my visits.

As a treat to myself, I thought I would try a Hot Stone Massage. I was a bit apprehensive because the massage therapist that does these is a man. I took my chances and Peter was SUCH a gentleman. I wasn't uncomfortable at all. I highly recommend the Hot Stone Massage...very, very relaxing!!

I can't say enough good things about Moonshadow!!

Pros: Great prices, caring massage therapists, very comfortable setting

Excellent Sports Massage!!!

by jakeedgar

Moonshadow is such a wonderful, relaxing place to receive a massage. Peter is the absolute best at working sore muscles. He does a deep-tissue, full body massage that is impossible to beat. I have been to several different places for massages and I have never found a place or therapist that compares with the quality massage you receive for the price. A ninety minute massage is under $100! I also run a lot of miles (30+ a week) and I always feel refreshed and relaxed after a visit with Peter at Moonshadow.

Pros: Effective, relaxing massage at an inexpensive price.

Cons: No shower available to wash oils off before leaving

Knowledgeable therapists

by padkison

I have chronic pain from spinal problems. My sessions at Moonshadow have been very helpful. An hourlong session is also a full 60 minutes, unlike some other places.

A year after neck fusion, I still had difficulty getting enough flexibility in my neck to drive without pain. The PT exercises weren't helping and neither did a trigger point injection. My doctor sent me for massage therapy. After a couple weeks at Moonshadow, I picked up 10-15 degerees more rotaion and flexion.

I continue to go for therapy on my back.

Highly reccomended.

Pros: Full 60 minutes, Friendly, Knowlegeable

Moonshadow is the Greatest!

by 1artsychick

I suffer from chronic pain and have tried many modalities to receive some relief. Often massage therapy has been just too painful, but Sami at Moonshadow helped me so much. She could tell where my pain was, and how much pressure she should use.
The entire staff is wonderful. They even allowed us to use a meeting room once a month for a Fibromyalgia Support Group.
I've recently moved, I really wish I could have taken Moonshadow with me.

Pros: relaxing atmosphere, caring staff, often same day apt.

Excellent Massage

by fenris

I really enjoyed my experience at Moonshadow and I plan to make use of their services in the not-so-distant future. The primary selling features for me were the atmosphere and the value of the services rendered. However, what tantalized me most was the diverse variety of massage styles offered, although to make an appointment with one of the more unique practioners may require longer-term planning. Overall, Moonshadow offered a very relaxing experience for a very reasonable price.

Pros: Value, Atmosphere, Diverse Services

A Dedicated Client

by lgoes

Having been to multiple Massage Clinics in the area for treatment of chronic lower back pain, I have found decent relaxation massages but very inconsistent therapeutic services. My experiences with Sami at Moonshadow Massage have made me a faithful client. She is professional, knowledgeable, methodical, and highly skilled at targeting the source of pain issues. Since joining Moonshadow Therapeutic Massages list of dedicated clients, massage therapy has become the most effective tool I have found in preventing and alleviating pain.

Best Massage in Town

by dpnnab

I received the absolute best massage of my life (I am 41) from Moonshadow. A few months ago, my back went out and I could not stand straight for three days. Muscle relaxers and IB Profin did not work. A friend recommended Moonshadow and I got in immediately. The atmospere was incredibly relaxing/calming. I walked in bent over and walked out straight up. It was the most incredible thing I had ever experienced. You need to try it....you work hard, you deserve it. I know you will be pleased with your experience. Thanks Moonshadow....I'll see you at my next appointment.

Pros: Very Relaxing, Friendly, Affordable

Wonderful!

by jennifer74

I've been to Moonshadow Therapeutic Massage several times, and I keep going back because it's fantastic! As soon as you walk through the door, youre greeted by a peaceful waiting area, where you can rest on the couch while skimming through magazines and sipping herbal tea. The staff is pleasant and attentive, asking questions to target your specific needs, whether for therapy or relaxation. I also find the website informative and frequently reference it for questions. The overall experience is wonderful and I very highly recommend Moonshadow!

Pros: Relaxing, Peaceful, Therapeutic

Great Massage!

by kbunce

I'll be back! I am in the triangle area on business and needed some work done on my neck and shoulders. I saw their ad in the yellow pages the other day and decided to call them. I didn't have any problem with getting an appointment the same day. I arrived a little early to fill out some paperwork and found that the music and the decor helped me to relax right away. And therapist was fantastic. She not only went really deep, but she was also very gentle and concerned about my comfort level. She also gave me stretches and exercises to do to loosen up my neck and shoulder. I'm impressed and will be sure to drop in again whenever I get back this way again.

Pros: Convenient location, Great therapist, Same day appointment
