This is an awesome store! It is very clean and well stocked. It has almost everything you could want if you like asian food and cooking. My husband and I go just about every week. The staff is very friendly. There is one older gentleman ( the owner?) who is especially nice and always makes us feel welcome. No one has ever been unfriendly towards us. They have really great prices on some of their fruit and vegetables. You can buy tofu for $1.50 per pack! Not only is it much cheaper than Wal-mart, but the packs are a lot bigger. I also like the way everything is labeled in English ( in addition to Korean) for those of us who can't read Korean. The majority of the food also has Chinese or Japanese writing on it ,too. So, just about everybody can find what they're looking for . I can't recommend this store enough. It is one of my favorites.

This is in response to the last review/complaint. My name is James and Im the store operator/manager. The owner is my father. Im very surprised at this review and people are entitled to their opinions. I only repsond because it sounds alittle strange. First of all, this is a family business that weve run for 9 years this summer and have only kicked people out(very few) for their absolute rudness to other customers or to us. Secondly, a great number of our customers are also business owners that bargain with us for large quantites of a product. My main point why this review is out of line is that for the past 5 years we've had only one item on stock that is white pepper. To be honest it is not a big seller and ive been selling it for 99cents and in the past year since 2010 it has been on sale for 50cents. Unfortunatly about mid 2010 we have been sold out of that product and no longer have whole white pepper corns in stock, but we do carry powder form now. Very cheap since we dont sell much of it. Please disregard that compaint and check out Koh Hyang Market Greensboro's premier asian grocery since 2002.

I only put one star because I had to. Really I would like to rate it as no stars. I was kicked out for having my calculator out and trying to figure out how much white pepper I needed to make a large quantity of a recipe. He accused me of being an employee of a competitor doing price-checking (I happen to be asian) and told me what I was doing was illegal. Yes, I was checking how his prices stacked up to Food Lion, but no, I am not a spy. Just a stay-at-home mom trying to save some money. Never setting foot in there again.

This store is huge! There is a large selection of Asian and hispanic groceries and goodies. The cleanliness of the fresh fish area has also improved in my recent trips to Koh Hyang Market. On my last visit on a Saturday afternoon, I took home a cooked Korean noodle dish that was tempting me at the check-out counter. It was very good and on-par with what I've gotten at my favorite Korean restaurant!

I have recently ventured out in search for asian grocer products. There are many small asian markets in the triad area until I fell into a place called Koh Hyang Market. It used to be called latin asian farmers market. I couldnt believe Ive never heard about this store. First off, it was very impressive how big the grocer is. Its not the size of Harris Teeter but more than double the size of any of the other asian market. I found everything i was looking for. I couldnt tell you all the other items that are availible. People should definetly check out this place. Something very interesting to our area. It has motivated me to try new recipes so i can share it with my family and friends and home instead of always going out to a restraunt. Also the people that work there are very friendly and always helpful in assisting customers. I even notice the employees help loading grocers into customers cars. Wow, and i thought that kind of service went extint. Im beginning to love this place and glad to represent this local business. People should check it out, even just to browse around and see something different in our area.

Wonderful selection of specialized latin and asian goods that are hard to find in other grocery stores. There's fresh seafood and many goods that you'd have to go to many different places to find. I like the fact that so much variety is centralized into one place. Many foreign produce is available near the front and there are aisles of all kinds of different cultures of food. The employees are very friendly and make you feel welcome.
