The technician broke the hood release lever off the inside of the car and the store refused to pay to have it repaired. When I called the corporate office they literally laughed at me when I asked to have them pay for the repair. They said I couldn't prove the technician overextended the lever (how else to you break one of those off??). Apparently Jiffy Lube's policy is to never pay for repairs since, as the guy at corporate insisted, "things break." I know I won't be taking any of my vehicles back for abuse.

I could tell from talking with all 3 levels of managers I went to that this kind of thing happens all the time with them and they never pay for repairs. They offered to send me gift certificates in the amount of the repair - like I'm going to ever risk taking a vehicle back to them!! My only recourse is to take legal action.

These guys have REALLY turned it around for Jiffy Lube. Especially after all the bad Jiffy Lube bad publicity on the net. Been going there since they opened in Wakefield Plantation and I am truly impressed with their growth. One recent story: Took one of my old work trucks there for an oil change. I was watching from the railing. Apparently the bay tech on the bottom accidentally didn't see the old oil filter seal was still attached to the truck when screwing on the new one. When they filled and started - oil started to come out (which I saw). They had a very quick response and apologized over and over that this happened. No damage happened to the truck and they just removed the oil and filter, took off the old seal and put a new filter and refilled - everything was perfect. They took extra time to be sure that no oil had splattered anywhere and cleaned everything perfectly. They then gave me the oil change (high mileage) 100% FREE just because I had seen that happen. Let me tell you, that is REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!. I have trusted them with my high end sports cars as well and they do nothing but give the best of treatment to the vehicle and explain everything to my satisfaction. They have even let me bring other cars I have tthat they haven't serviced for tire pressure checks and air top-offs.

A big 5 stars to the WAKEFIELD J-TEAM!

These guys have REALLY turned it around for Jiffy Lube. Especially after all the bad Jiffy Lube bad publicity on the net. Pros: From your old junker to your $100k high end automobile - they will take care of it right w/attention to detail

Cons: None I can think of - just too bad the other Jiffy Lube's I have visited in town can't be this good
