Dun Artie Salon & Day Spa

I was visiting New Bern and came to this spa for a swedish massage. The inside looked very nice and clean and I was excited for my massage until the therapist (do not know her name) took me into the massage room and decided as I am standing there in my robe for 10 minutes to try and sell me oils and softening wax add ons to my massage. She literally had me standing there as she opened and explained each and every oil she had available. Really? If I wanted that service, I would have booked it initially. When I finally got on the table for my massage she decides to have a conversation again? When I recieve a massage, I am a relax state, yet this therapist was a chatty cathy! As for the massage itself, the therapist barely worked on me, she did not know how to give a massage at all. Which makes me wonder, is she even licensed? I was very dissapointed as we all know massages are expensive. After this was expressed to Julie at the front desk, I was told she would let the boss know and she would call me regarding my experience, never got a call back. I am a New Yorker....every spa I been to in NY the services are superb. NC, get with it!

I recently came for a visit ( we are moving here as soon as we find a house!) And one of the things I needed to do was find a spa to meet all my needs. I saw a billboard for Dun Artie and was a little surprised when I located it, to see that another spa was located less than a half mile down the road!
I decided to check out both Spas. I had a trim at one and a pedicure at the other. I can tell you that there is no comparison to the two!! I give Dun Artie's a 5 star rating! From the clean spa to the level of professionalism that I was shown. The front desk was helpful and fully clothed!
I was a little concerned about two spa's being next to one another (poor city planning?) But, you cannot help if they build a fast food joint next to a fine dining establishment!

I have bought several gift certificates for massages from this spa for my customers. I have always received great feedback on how they are treated and are so relaxed afterwards. One of my customers still frequents the spa when in town and made comments on how professional a massage therapist, Elise, was during their visit. I would highly recommend this spa and Elise if you want a most enjoyable experience.

Dunartie is the best place to relax in New Bern. I frequently visit there when I need "ME TIME". I have experienced most of the services that they offer and I have been "WOWWED" everytime! Thank you Dunartie for offering great service and outstanding, feel good results!! Sincerely. Patricia

FANTASTIC- As an avid spa client who has visited their fair share of spas throughout the years, I feel that from the moment I stepped into the door and until I departed, I was surrounded with a professional, warm and welcoming staff and environment. Dun Artie Spa is superior to the rest and very well deserving of a five star rating!

We were staying in New Bern with family and needed a change of pace. Dunartie Salon and Spa had facial for me, Hank a massage, Gloria a pedicure and Aunt Fran got color and the best cut. We will make appointment for our next visit in 3 months.

Celebrating my Birthday at Dun Artie, I was escorted to the Spa locker room where I was given a robe and slippers to change into. My Day at the Spa was Fabaulous, my facial with Sarai was the very best and massage by Tammy was outstanding and Priscilla took great care of my hands and feet. I feel like a new woman. Thanks Dun Artie for making giving me a wonderful memory to cherish.

I go to the Spa monthly now and I always get great service. I just arrive 15 minutes early, ask for a drink, wait, and then I am served quickly. Then, I use the very clean sauna afterwards and the clean shower prior to leaving. Try it, you may like it!

I arrived for a 9am appointment and 45min later no one had any idea of why I was there! There was no follow through from checking in at the front desk to sitting on the couch that I waited almost an hour on. The staff just kept walking by and no one seemed to care that I was not being helped. I went there for relaxation but left angry and mad that they could care less about the customer!! The worst part is that my husband bought me a gift receipt for my birthday for $100 and I will NEVER go back there to use it.

This spa is wonderful the atmosphere is inviting , calm , and clean. Everyone is very professional and they take care of your every need. I reccommend the Sugar Scrub with aromatheraphy, swedish massage, a facial ( any one they are all great!) and please don't forget the mainicue and pedicure with the parrifen wax dip simply delightful. The place is state of the art and beautiful. I enjoyed walking around in the soft terry cotten robes and slippers. You are treated like a Queen or a King ! Please treat yourself to this wonderful experience at least 3-4 times a year minimum you wont regret it:) Barbara

This is a wonderful place to go when you would like to feel refreshed, They will treat you like a queen or a king, they do massages, tranquility massage, manuicures pedicures, mud bath. This is a very relaxing enviroment. The employees are all certified and well manered.. And the business' location is perfect.
