Ratings_icons Awesome Chinese Food Experiance...

Richard A.

Chen's Garden was a pleasant surprise for me. The first thing you notice when you walk into Chen's Garden is how nice it is inside. Then the buffet bars are topped with a wide assortment. The food wasn't just average either. I have been to here in Greensboro the last 5 years. Other than my favorite Chinese place, this is definitely is one of the best places to treat yourself to. Plus the atmosphere is really nice.

I typically do not high expectations for restaurants that have buffet food. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Chen's Garden. The stir-fried string beans were well-cooked. There was a good and tasty selection of items to choose. The service was very good. The restaurant interior was pleasant and relaxing.

Ratings_icons Better than the average buffet

We went to Chen's Garden one night on a recommendation after our favorite Chinese buffet in town closed. I remembered it's location as a Darryl's (like O'Charlies or Ruby Tuesday), and I didn't have high expectations for a Chinese buffet fitting in that site very well. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was hot and delicious, except when it was properly cold and delicious. The servers kept our drinks topped off, which was very well done considering we had a party of six, including two fairly rambunctious kids. Recommended.

We planned to go to Panda Inn for dinner but it had closed down, so we chose Chen's Garden because it had buffet and we were trying to please two little ones who were with us and didn't like Chinese. Well, one of the little ones still wasn't pleased but the 4 adults with him were very happy. We had a nice variety to choose from, the food was hot and tasty and we had the place almost to ourselves. The service was friendly and helpful and, although we thought the place looked a little run down when we entered, it was clean and cozy. Will definitely go back.
