We have been taking our dogs to Luckys for 7 years now. We have had a wonderful experience. The facility is clean and my dogs love to go there to board and/or attend daycare.

I am in town for business and brought one of my dogs. Lucky s has been day-boarding him and he loves it. The people are friendly and he is happy to see them when I drop him off. I was hesitant after reading the reviews, so I left him there with caution. It was the closest to my hotel, so I really didn t have a choice. I am happy I took a chance on them. They have bent over backward to help me out and to take care of him. Other than his dog trainer s house, which is a second home to him, he has NEVER been to another kennel. I just don t trust anyone else with my babies. I will definitely be bringing him back if I come again.

I am so disappointed in Lucky's. It used to be such a great place - but no longer. In August we borded our two dogs for a long weekend. Lucky's had the audacity to deliver our cocker spaniel covered in her own excrement. it took two baths to get the stench out. to me that says the animals are certainly not let out enough AND they have no regard for their customers (2 and 4 legged). I called to complain and to speak with the manager. the manager never returned my call. Lucky's - you have changed and we will never return!!!!

The owners and managers are simply horrible. They are indifferent to the manager's treatment of customers and employees (i.e. name calling, yelling, threats, etc.), are disrespectful, and don't seem to care about the employees or customers. They have only one groomer hired, and she is almost always extremely overloaded with very little time to get everything done, and I've seen her work hours overtime to try and get everything finished by deadline. Very understaffed when it comes to kennel workers, particularly during the holidays when there will be around 300 dogs in the back with about 5-7 employees. The management is constantly rushing to kennel staff to the point of sometimes accidentally overlooking things that need to be done, and when those mistakes are made the staff is blamed for being careless. Even if there are only a few dogs in the back, kennel staff is rushed to the point of not having anything at all left to do with an hour left in the shift, and then is scolded for not working. Dogs are let out twice a day unless they are signed up for ""late outs"", ""personal times,"" ""nature walks"", or ""daycare"", or if they are kept in the luxury section called ""Lucky Town"", where they are let out three times a day. In general, the place would be great if there was better management and more employees. Until this happens though, I wouldn't suggest bringing your pets there.

worst experience i have ever had in my 20 years of owning a dog-- and i'm from a horse ranch! the groomer ""forgot"" about my dog, left her without water for over ten hours in a kennel! when we got home, she had bald spots where she was randomly shaved, and she cut the inside of her leg and didn't tell us! then the groomer called me the next day, was disrespectful, rude, and said that i- i was badgering her!!! (she called me!!!) i demanded to speak with the owner, who was indifferent. his name is aaron. he is incompetent, and a complete joke. if you love your animals keep them far, far away from lucky's pet resort. take them to best friends bed and biscuit! i am reporting this ""business"" to the bbb, and other animal organizations. and we took photos of everything if anyone is interested. they treat their customers as horribly as they treat their animals. they are despicable and repugnant, and they need to go out of business.

On Oct.14, my husband & I dropped our 3 dogs off for boarding at Lucky's. We've been about 5 times. Every time we mention that one dog is nervous from the car ride and nippy. They take them back, bring our leashes back to us & always say they all do great while we're gone. This time, the mgr walked up to my husband who was with the nervous dog. He told her to be careful. She reached down behind his head & got nipped. I said ""Are you alright? I'm sorry!"" She said she was OK. We left once the dogs were gone.\nEven though people who work with pets should know how to handle all personalities, & she was doing what they never do by reaching down quickly instead of taking him back first, I still felt bad so I called later from the road to apologize again. She immediately raised her voice & said, ""It's not your dog you need to apologize for, it's your husband! He's a jerk! A total jerk! He just stood there when I got nipped & didn't say a word. He's a jerk. He should have said something because that can be dangerous to me and my staff. You need to think about whether you want to keep coming here. I will be glad to give you your deposit back! Have a good weekend. Goodbye."" Then she hung up on me. I never got another word in, nor did I or my husband do anything to deserve that. AND... it was my birthday. Super. \nI didn't need to think about it. On the 15th, I went in, she wasn't there & I asked for the deposit back. The girls were very nice, said they knew this conversation was coming & couldn't believe she'd talked to me that way. I asked for her supervisors name. They said they'd mail me the check.\nI emailed the owner with the info I was given. I told him what had happened. One of my concerns, beside her horrible customer service, was that if she's going to talk to a stranger that way, how does she treat her employees & the pets? Mr. Strasser told me he apologized for her behavior & said that's not the norm. I told him it was very upsetting, that I'm not her friend or confidante. I'm a customer. I don't appreciate being treated that way & I refuse to let someone call my husband a jerk. That was inexcusable. He asked what I wanted to make this better. I said that I'd like my deposit back (that I'd paid to cover future visits) & I'd like an apology from Lauren (the mgr). He said, ""My apology should be enough for you & as far as I'm concerned, when I send you your check, the matter is closed."" I told him I was not asking for anything outrageous. I told him I wasn't asking for money, or free visits. Just an apology from the person that had been extremely rude. He said there was no need to have her talk to me. Then he hung up on me also. \nI was treated poorly & the people that own/run Lucky's didn't seem to care.\n

We love Lucky's!!! We have been going there for about a year now and we could not be happier. The staff is always friendly and when Max enters the building he is ready to go and doesn't look back. They also have a new groomer who has Max looking his best. We have never been happier. Lucky's is a wonderful place to leave your pet for grooming, a weekend, a week you name it. They are wonderful.

Lucky's is a wonderful daycare and boarding facility. The accommodations for the animals is great. The personnel get to know your animal and provide them with special attention.

Lucky's is the only place we would trust to leave our little Boston Terrier. They have many options to choose from from small cages to resort like bed accommodations. Our little puppy enjoyed the personalized attention and came home very happy.

As a kennel attendant at Lucky's what many people dont realize is that the kennel is only loud when new people walke through the kennel. So yes i can understand that you would be uncomfortable with such a noisy environment but the noise only occurs when people walk through.

If you go with the luxery end, i think it might be okay. But, for a regular kennel, it's bad. It was horribly loud, with way too many dogs in one place. I left treats and toys for my dog.... not one treat had been given when i picked him up. I also paid for the ""kennel bath"".... a bath and dry on the day he came home. They bathed him alright, but didn't dry him! I picked hime up at 2pm, and his was still wet!!!! He stunk worse than when I left him. \r\n\r\nThe staff was less then friendly, and didn't tell mw anything about how he his stay went. I will never use them again. For such a great website, the actual place was a great disappointment.

Pros: convenient, good for the luxery option

Cons: dog only out twice a day, didn't give him his toys/treats, VERY LOUD!!!!!!
