I had my tragus pierced in a shop in Wake Forest for my 18th birthday. The artist was totally unprofessional and gave me totally incorrect cleaning instructions... she told me to put Bactine on it! My aunt and uncle get all their tattoos done at Blue Flame and took me by to see their piercing artist. He thoroughly examined my ear and explained that it was very infected. He cleaned my piercing for me and even gave me some saline wipes to take with me... all at no charge. I have recently gone back to the shop to purchase a new ring for my tragus and will definitely go there for my next piercing.

I have gotten all 6 of my tattoo's here by Ray and I have been VERY pleased with everything! And to reply to the statement below about the way they treat you...Ray and Christy have always been great to myself and everyone I refer to them...there are some new ppl there now and I have no idea how they are or act. Bottom line to KK M...SUCK IT UP and SHUT UP! You're going to get the best tattoo at this place! I'm looking for another tattoo now...the biggest one I'll have on my body and yes, I'll be going to either Ray or Christy!

Horrible. I dont care how good someones skill is, if I'm going to spend my hard earned dollar somewhere I expect to at least be treated human!!!
These people act as if they are doing you a huge favor by even acknowledging you. I would not recommend this place. RUN in the other direction!!!

They completely effed up my navel piercing. Not only is it crooked, but they did not take the time to fully explain the aftercare procedures. This was my first piercing so obviously I am not an expert. Since I was not thoroughly explained the things I needed to do I ended up getting a very nasty infection/scar from it less than two weeks after getting the piercing. I am very dissatisfied with their approach to business as they need to ensure they have an appropriate amount of time with each client to brief them on the procedures they are getting! :-(

I had been going to Glenn's in Carrboro for years for various pieces and loved their quality work and great pricing, but when I moved to Raleigh, I went to Blue Flame after I heard various people raving about them. I'm still baffled as to why, however. I brought in a simple design that I wanted and got a price quote of around $110. I said, "F-- that," went to Glenn's, and got the same exact design for the shop minimum, $50, with no scrimping on the quality. Blue Flame is just filled with a bunch of pretentious a-holes who think they know s**t. Obviously, the quality of a piece should be more important than the price, but when you can get both, why bother with the Blue Flame pricks?

I just had two pieces done in the same day, by two separate artists in the shop. I know they hear everyone say how symbolic and meaningful their request is, and mine were no exception. But these guys really took the time to listen and translate what I was trying to express and signify into two unique and lasting pieces of body art. On top of that, they bent over backwards to help me get the pieces done before I left town - something a lot of shops would not have done. Their prices were more than fair, service was above and beyond, and the results were PERFECT! I would HIGHLY recommend that you choose this shop for your next tat!

Just gave myself a b-day present. I got a Buddhist Mantra tattoo across the top of my wrist. Everyone in the studio I spoke with was professional, helpful and took the time to answer my questions. I am extremely happy with the work that my tattoo artist completed on my wrist. As far as the artists' experience in this shop is concerned, the lady that worked on me had a BFA in Design and has been tattooing for 6 years...so I'm not sure what the first guy was talking about as far as this place being a "fruit stand" for no talent hacks.

If you want beginners doing work on you this is the place for you. A while back they had some good hacks, I mean artist, but now there is a whole bunch of INK wannabes (Wilmington beach). What a fruit stand.

truely this is the best tattoo shop in the world! tons of pics of tattoos you can choose or the artist will work with you on what you want! located were everyone in the raleigh area can get to, blue flame is the hottest place to get a high quailty tattoo. great heath record also. i will be back again, you will get "ink fever", a term for wanting more and more tattoo's after going to blue flame

I have a friend who swears by the work taht they do here.Blue flame is a gret place to getall of your peircings, they can do things unusual, as well as traditional and all at reasonable prices. Their location on hillsborough streets makes them convient to get to from any location. Parking can be difficult on the street, but its worth it.
