My husband is a semi-experienced climber so I bought him a gift certificate for Father's Day. He took a short refresher class and began climbing. He loved it! He then took our 2 children with him, ages 6 and 8, and they quickly became addicted, also. Staff is friendly and helpful!

My husband and I went to Inner Peaks. I was a first time climber, he had done it once or twice, but never used the belaying equipment. The facility was well kept up, and it was a very relaxed environment. We watched a short safety video instructing us how to use the gri-gri (belaying equipment that's REALLY easy to use), then one of the staff members walked us through climbing and belaying so we each had a turn with both parts.
It was a really great workout, and a lot of fun. You need to go with a partner, and belaying each other requires a lot of trust and a fair amount of communication, so make sure it's someone you're comfortable with.
If you're going to go often, consider a membership to reduce costs.

My family likes to go out and have different kinds of fun things to do. So Inner Peaks was just the ticket. This place has something for everyone. I like the fact that it is located in an area near me.
