We have enjoyed eating at Arigato for many years. We have celebrated almost every special occasion there. In fact the last big celebration was with all four of my son's and girl friends. What made it special was my soldier son being here on R&R. He couldn't go back to Afghanistan without eating the best Japanese food around. We have tried both locations (Greensboro and Winston) and either location is AWESOME! We visited just two weeks ago and as always the wait was very minimum, the service was great. Our chef was very entertaining and our waitress did an excellent job of keeping our beverages topped off. Thank you for continuous, great service. I highly recommend to all my friends.

This is the best Japanese I have ever ate. I've been to Japanese restaurants all over the state and have never found one to even compare to Arigato. When my husband asks me where I want to eat in Winston he knows that this is usually my top pick. The staff is very accommodating and the food is always consistently great.

Our kids also love to go with us because the love to see the "fire" and watch them throw shrimp tails into the air.

You won't be disappointed by choosing this restaurant, we have certainly never been disappointed.

P.S. They will even put teriyaki sauce on your steak if you ask, it's what I craved when I was pregnant.

It is my favortie place to eat. I have been a patron of the restaurant for many years. The food is DELICIOUS! My mouth waters just thinking about the house salad dressing. The ginger dipping sauce is to die for. I have three sons. Each one of their tastes are different, but we have no problem finding something for everyone at Arigatos. The chefs are very entertaining. We love the complete atmosphere. It is extremely family friendly. Portions are AMAZING!!!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any and everyone I know (and I do recommend it as often as possible). Arigato is a dining experience to behold!

I have neglected for far too long to write a review for my favorite restaurant and what I sincerely believe to be the greatest Japanese Steakhouse (Arigato) in the known world.. For those of you ?big city? folks who believe that Benihana is the end all, be all when it comes to Japanese food you are sorely mistaken because yes I have been to one of those too. The appearance of the restaurant is always top-notch. It is very clean and I am always greeted by a friendly smile when I go. The hostess staff is very polite, the managers as well. The waitresses are well trained and do a wonderful job of getting the orders right. The chefs are wonderful as well and are well trained in steak and seafood preparation. The first thing that is brought to the table is the traditional ?Miso? soup. \nThe next part of the meal is brought after you get your drink. I know it sounds crazy to get excited about a salad, but my favorite salad dressing at any restaurant is served at Arigato. They have two in-house dressings: the chef?s dressing which is ginger based and the house dressing which is soy based. The house dressing is ?to die for?. It is soy based but there is also a strong hint of onion in it as well. This may sound like an odd choice for a salad dressing but it really works and works very well. I love the house dressing so much that I usually order a side cup to dip some food in for a dipping sauce and whatever is left over I drink because it is way too good to waste! By the time you get your salad it is time for the chef to come out to your table. The first food that is cooked hibachi style are the vegetable appetizers which consists of grilled onions and zucchini. They are the prelude to the greatest appetizer in the world, which is the appetizer shrimp. Before I am a Japanese steakhouse fan I am first and foremost a seafood lover. I know it sounds strange but what most people consider a great steakhouse I consider it for their seafood. There are two reasons that I think Arigato is the best seafood restaurant around is for two things that they serve. The first one is the appetizer shrimp. For connoisseurs of shrimp it is the best and freshest that is available. The next part of the meal is one of the most anticipated: the fried rice. It is very good and simply done; rice, soy sauce, corn and scallions. It is not over done with thirteen kinds of vegetables and fried egg. I know this doesn?t sound like a reason to call it ?anticipated? but there is more; this is when you get to enjoy the dipping sauces that you ordered with your meal. You get to pick two out of three. The three choices are ginger, mustard and ?white? sauce. I have already mentioned that I am not a fan of ginger so I naturally pick the mustard and white sauce. The mustard is great but the white sauce is by far the best sauce for dipping seafood in known to man. But here is the really great part that ties the white sauce into the rice that is served; it is also an amazingly great complement to the rice. I have jokingly called it ?Japanese gravy? for a long time.\nAfter the rice if you are not already stuffed, they serve you your choice of entr?e. I have tried everything at Arigato from the red snapper, to the salmon to the filet mignon and I can honestly tell you that every entr?e is great, but I have saved my second favorite reason for calling it the best seafood restaurant for now. For those who enjoy scallops, they are a must have experience. They are not imitation ?skate? pieces which are what some restaurants try to pawn off on unsuspecting customers. For those who really want them done right, when your chef verifies your order, tell him that you want them cooked ?well done?. This may sound strange but when the chefs cook them ?well? at Arigato they use butter and soy sauce and by cooking them longer it creates a wonderful caramelizing effect that is amazing! \n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I absolutely love the Filet Mignon, it's the best I've had anywhere! The atmosphere is delightful, and the staff is courteous and helpful. This is my familes favorite place to eat as well as celebrate our special occasions. I highly recommend Arigato's anytime you want to have a great dining experience. Make reservations so you don't have to wait because it's no real secret how good this place is!

This is one of the best restaurant's I've ever been, Perfect for fine dining ( You still get a GREAT amount of food for the price), The Atmosphere is my favorite of any restaurant I've ever been at. The shrimp and white sauce is some of the best food I've ever had. This is a must eat at restaurant.

Extremely friendly service, but the best thing is the shrimp. I have tried the steak and chicken too, best japanese food in winston salem, but shrimp is best in NC.

I must say that I didn't realize how great their service was until I no longer lived there. I now live in a town where the Japanese restaurants fail in comparison, and I NEVER go to them! The service is just superb, and yes you have to wait a little....However, you wait almost anywhere you go off of Stratford b/c it is near the mall and the hospitals!

The food is good. I will give it that, but I wouldnt say its so much better than the other hibachi places in town. You have to make a reservation, and then still expect to wait at least 15 minutes. Without a reservation you could be waiting for over an hour.

Whether it's for the food or entertainment, Arigato has the best Japanese in the state. Better go hungry too!! Your meal consists of soup, salad, rice, veggies, shrimp, and whatever meat(s) you choose. The food is cooked on a grill right in front of you. The cooks are also known to provide a little entertainment while they are cooking. Make sure to call and make reservations, cause they do get very busy. The prices are reasonable for the type of restaurant.
