We have been going to Tyson Hospital with our pets for four years. The staff feels like family, are very patient, and capable. They act as if each of our pets are their own. I feel very reassured that our dog and cats get individual attention for the duration of their stay anytime they visit.

We have been using Tyson Animal Hospital since they first opened. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I love that they try to do things that will save you money and they are very reasonable. Both my cats are seen there. They do great job on giving my one cat shave downs. They go out of their way to do what is needed. Even started ordereing special food for my cat that they didnt carry.

We used to go to Greenwood for our animals care, but we moved, so we changed our vet. When we were there, we got outstanding service. The doctor took her time with us and walked us through the death of one pet and the near death of the other. We got great care with compassion and understanding.

Ratings_icons Staff and quality of care are unparalelled

I am beyond delighted with the care and service I receive when I take my pets to Tyson's. Dr. Dishman is so genuine, caring and thorough. She is also very respectful about an individual's pet care beliefs (i.e. indoor/outdoor cats vs. indoor only). She and her staff have helped me through sad times as well as the joyous ones. I board my dog there and Molly wriggles with joy when we pull into the driveway--she loves Lynn more than she loves me ;-)
An extra added bonus is that the fees for service at Tyson are very reasonable and I have not felt that any service suggested was to increase sales (and I've had that experience elsewhere). This is a solid business with exceptional people supporting it. I highly recommend Tyson to anyone who asks about vets in the area.

Pros: Affordable, high quality care and exceptional staff

Cons: No drawbacks, period.

Ratings_icons My Dog Loves This Vet

aprall

I started taking my dog to Dr. Dishman after trying other vets in the area. The other vets weren't bad, but my dog never seemed comfortable there. She loves going to Dr. Dishman however! The staff are always very friendly, and truly show that they care about your dog as an individual. They remember her quirks when she comes back. They'll help you get the occasional stubborn tick out. They are just fantastic, and I am really happy that my dog and I found this office. We've also had a great experience boarding her here.

Pros: Inviting office, great staff, make concessions for pet's quirks, nice boarding area

Cons: Tucked back on 55-> could be easy to miss

Dr. Dishman and her staff are so wonderfully pleasant. I am so thrilled that I have found a great vet so close to my home. The entire office was so compassionate and truly had a genuine love for all of their precious patients. Thank you so much for being a great doctor. Molly greatly appreciates it! ;-)

Pros: Compassionate Staff, Comfortable Facility, Great Products (Vitamins, Dog Food, Heart Worm, Flea Med.), Saturday Office Hours

Cons: I can't find any cons!

Ratings_icons Tyson Animal Hospital - Dr. Donna Dishman

nmaybaum

Dr. Donna Dishman and her staff are the vet's vet! They have given my three "girls" superior, state of the art care with loving kindness at each visit. I am a transplant to the area from Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Dishman was especially kind and welcoming to me and my dogs. She has gone above and beyond in her efforts to provide outstanding health and wellness care to them. She has been especially kind to me and recognized my relocation stress. She made herself available to me for all questions regarding the health and care of my dogs throughout my reolcation process. I can't recommend her enough. In fact, I pass her card out to anyone who asks me to recommend a vet. I am very grateful to have found her and her staff.

Pros: too many to mention

Cons: none

Ratings_icons Dr. Dishman and techs are the best in town!

idunke1

I've been taking my dog to Dr. Dishman since I got her as a sick puppy 1 year ago. She and her staff have been polite, professional and a joy to do business with. They have been very helpful with odd phone calls ("My dog ate soap.") and have been able to accomodate any emergencies we have had immediately. My dog likes the vet so much that I decided to board her there when we went out of town because I knew she was familiar with all of the staff and she loves going there to visit her friends.

Pros: Open some Saturdays, super staff

Cons: No grooming

Ratings_icons Professional veterinarian care in a friendly, caring environment.

doodledo

We recently got a dog from an animal shelter and I wasn't sure how she would
behave at an animal hospital since I hadn't taken her to a vet before. She had been through a lot lately and I wanted to be sure she had a positive experience, so I tried Tyson Animal Hospital because a friend takes her dogs there and loves it.

I noticed the landscaping was pretty & welcoming which I
think even made my dog happy because she smelled flowers and plants on the
way in rather than the typical "vet clinic" scent. Inside, it looks so warm
and friendly and really feels like you are at home - very cheery and
inviting. The people that work there were also very friendly and
professional. I'm not sure who needed the friendly and welcoming atmosphere
the most - my dog or me. :-)

The veterinarian & the technicians were very thorough with my dog's exam &
took the time to answer all my questions. Most medical places these days seem
to want to rush you out of there, but I never got that impression from them.
They really seem to have a passion for what they do & have sincere compassion
for the animals. So Refreshing! I was touched by the way they treated my dog
with such love & care during the exam, even petting her & talking to her. She had an ear
infection & had to get her ears cleaned out; I was amazed at how they were
able to do this so thoroughly, while making my dog feel as comfortable as
possible. My dog was very relaxed the whole time, and she acted as though she
was getting a spa treatment rather than medical care. When I got her at the
shelter she was shaking & terrified so I thought she would be terrified at
the vet hospital, but she never shook once there. They made us all feel right
at home. My dog's ears now look clean & I can tell her ears feel better. The cleaning and the ear medicine Dr. Dishman prescribed has really helped. I will gladly take her there again and would recommend it to anybody.

Pros: Professional, helpful, friendly, thorough.

Cons: Only con is that it's not in NE Raleigh, where I live, but I will gladly drive for excellent vet care.

Ratings_icons Best for Kitty Cats!

emtsusan

Greenwood vet has been a lifesaver to my kitties on more than one occasion. The staff is very caring and attentive. The office is always spotless. I've had a few 'crisis' appointments and have never had a problem getting in right away. My cats are my children and I wouldn't trust them to anyone else! While Dr. Paula, the best Vet in the WORLD, is not seeing patients regularly, I feel just as confident in the rest of her staff as if she were seeing my babies personally!
