This was not a real florist. I went by the address given and there was no florist there. It turns out that this was a business called the Preferred Florist Network that advertised as a local florist in cities all across the country. They purchased local phone numbers then used remote call forwarding to call their order gathering center in New Jersey. The orders would then be sent to shops who agreed to fill them. This "network" kept 25% of the money they received for the flower order then charged an additional service fee.
The shop I now use in Greensboro, Send Your Love Florist, explained to me that this "network" went out of business in late June, owing hundreds of thousands of dollars to real local florists across the country. I recommend that when you want to send flowers that you call a real florist in the city where you want delivery and avoid order gathering businesses.

I have been very happy with my dealings with Greensboro Florist. They quality and beauty of their flowers is amazing. Their shop is well organized and absolutely peaceful to walk through. The floral arrangements, freshness of the flowers and potted plants, and the friendliness of the staff is simply wonderful. They also carry artificial flowers if you are in the market for that. The staff is very helpful and willing to assist you in picking out the perfect flowers. You can also place orders over the phone - very convenient for me. Prices are par for the area.
PROS: quality and beauty of their flowers/plants
