There is a Napper Tandys in Northport L.I. N. Y. is this the same family? I think his first name was Rob and his sister Norma .I used to live in Northport thanks T.N.

The first thing that you notice when entering Napper Tandy's is the atmosphere. I was surprised to find that the back bar had been transported from Langton's in Kilkenny which just happened to be the first place I stayed in Ireland! I

Ok so your downtown Raleigh and it is lunchtime, you have less than 10 bucks but real hungry, you hate fast food and want to sit down. Head over to Napper's awesome lunch specials, I'm not sure what day the Pizza soup was in the lineup as soup of the day but I hit the jackpot. That with a huge wrap and a drink for under ten bucks....SCORE. On the other side of that coin I visited one evening that they had All you can eat wings. This is for you if and only if you like COLD under flavored wings. If the wings are avoided go for it though. Plus the old school Irish atmosphere is Awesome.

Pros: Great price

I took my Dad to this pub when he visited me from Northern VA. I couldn't take him to the run down college bars on hillsbor. st. The service was good and I think this bar looks awesome inside and out. It definitely left a good impression of Raleigh with my Dad.

Napper Tandy's is a great bar for the weekends. However, their day staff are horrible. One server in particular ignored tables in her section because she didn't feel like helping them. One group walked out because no one would help them. The bartender wouldn't even take drink orders. They were rude and didn't seem to care about their customers

My friends and I love to go to karaoke at Napper Tandy's on Wednesday. They have awesome drink specials and the staff there is quick and polite. Collin is a great DJ who is easy to talk to and makes it a point to get to know the regulars. Definitely try them out!

I've been in some Pub-in-a-box Irish Theme pubs, but this one takes the scone.
I was embarrassed to be Irish.
Also tell your aging house band, Eire Lingus, that the word 'Eire'
without the fada accent does not mean 'Ireland'! It literally means 'Burden' in the Irish tongue !!!!
Pros: Food is fair bar food.
It's nearby to The Hibernian on Glenwood if you want the feel of a real Irish pub.
Cons: More of a sports bar.
I expected to hear the music on the video on their web page - instead I got old crooning paddy-wannabees playing plastic guitars. Disappointing.

It's one of our favorite fun places to go. I love the food and the coziness of the seating...small areas all around. we've been to several fundraisers there, watching Irish dancing and bands play. I think the staff is very friendly - say hi to Rich for me.

This is a great place to stop after doing the Raleigh downtown. Took the family there after a play. It was before the evening rush, so the kids got to roam a bit before our food arrived. The wait staff kept an eye on them. Good food, good service, and good times.

I was at Napper Tandy's when they were holding a fundraiser. The food was good, and we had great (and fast) service even though it was really busy in there. My brother from Chicago was visiting and he said it was a great place. Not only that, it is really pretty inside. The wood and the little nooks everywhere are fun to look at.

My fiancee (now husband) and I were looking all around for a restaurant where we could hang out and have some food and drinks with our out of town wedding guests. Many other places were not willing to accomidate 25 to 30 people and reserve an area of the restaurant without charging a very high fee. Napper Tandy's didn't think twice about giving us the patio so that we could spend the evening with our guests. The service was wonderful!!! The food was also great. We also loved the relaxed atomosphere!! Thank you so much for helping to make that night a special one for us!!!

I celebrated my 30th birthday party at Napper Tandy's. They had plenty of room to seat the large party that I brought with me. The food was amazing! Great selection of traditional Irish food from cornbeef and cabbage to shepards pie that my family loved. We had a wonderful time! The service was great in catering to the needs of my grandmother and her lack of mobility. They had huge beer selection! I think there had to be at least 15 different beers on draft plus several different choices for bottles. I would suggest for anyone to go to Napper Tandy's especially for celebrations!

Pros: Lots of room and great food

I want to first say that I love Napper Tandy's. The bartenders make the best drink and service is amazing. My only warning is there is often a cover for the live bands they have, it is usually about 5 dollars. It is also very much a guy bar, which can be good. It is not a good place if you are looking to dance and watch out for the extremely trashed guys you will find if you show up around 1.

I absolutely LOVE Nappers! My friends and I meet up there quite often. It is close to everyone and we always have the best time. They have the most friendly and personable staff. Tuesdays are the best with Trivia Night. Wednesdays they have awesome Karaoke. Fridays and Saturdays they have the best live bands in town. We just went there for the first time this week for Sunday Brunch and I must say it was fantastic. I have never had a bad experience. The crowd is welcoming and very relaxed. You can't beat the beer and wings deals on Wednesdays. All you can eat wings for $6 and pitchers of Miller Light or Yuengling for $6. Great place to just hang out with friends and catch up.

I must say, I am an avid karoke enthusiast. I have been to many karaoke bars and this one takes the cake. The guy they have hosting is very funny and into his job. A lot of karoke hosts try to sing the entire time or just don't seem to be having fun. Combine him with $6 pitchers of Yuengling and Miller Lite and you've got a great night out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

If you haven't visited Napper Tandy's yet, what are you waiting for. With a great selection of keg beers, good Irish food ( bangers and mash like Mom used to make ) and a fun crowd it makes for an enjoyable experience, go during the day, or even better, in the evening, and you'll feel right at home. The rooms are all very well furnished, you'd swear the building was at least 200 years old. If you get a chance, make sure you visit "the library"

My wife and 6yr old son went to Napper Tandys for dinner the other night and had a great time. The Irish food was awesome and our waitress was amazing. They had rugby, soccer and baseball on, and had a ton of tvs spread around the bar. After dinner we stuck around and watched the band for a while. Napper Tandys is a great place for families looking to have a bit of fun. Cheap beer and well priced food with live entertainment, we will definately be going back!

Napper Tandys has the best Guiness in North Carolina, and best of all it's 3.75 pints all day everyday how can you beat that? Its cheaper than drinking in Ireland. I went on a Saturday night and had a great time. The band was excellent and the crowd was incredible. We went to several other bars and this is the place to be. The food was good and the service was great I give it a 10.

Napper Tandy's is a nightlife staple of the Powerhouse District of N West and Jones Streets. An Irish pub and music venue that draws quite a crowd. The food I have not tasted as of yet and I will update this after I order a meal. DJ or Live music on Fridays and Live music on Saturdays with a $5 cover charge (both nights). The service is average, but the beer is cold and the bands are good.

Pros: Shares a fantastic corner with 2 other nightlife venues, a fun location, great crowd.

Cons: Parking is a challenge at times and the $5 cover charge is too much for what is offered.

When we arrived at Napper Tandy's we were pleasently suprised at the few changes that had occurred since it was bought from Ri Ra. The changes were subtle, yet I could feel a new sense of energy that was not there in my previous visits. All the food that we had enjoyed with Ri Ra seemed to have been prepared, if possible, better. Then I inquired with our attentive server that there was a new chef in town. What a difference. Food=GREAT! If you don't try Napper Tandy's then you have no idea what you are missing. Also very family friendly, as there were 2 families there and the staff seemed to enjoy rather than seem annoyed by the children. I will hope to see you in there some day as from now on my wife and I are forever Nappers Regulars.
Thank you Napper Tandys

This place has the best food! I have been to Napper Tandy's about a dozen times, since the changeover, and this place is awesome. Each time I have eaten here, it amazes me the selection on the menu. I have to say, that the chef has done wonders for this place. I have tried, on more than one occasion, several dinner specials, and have to say that the quality has exceeded my expectations each time. Not to mention the brunch on Sundays! They have the best omlettes ever! The Bloody Marys go down pretty smoothe too. I will definately be back! Probably this weekend!

I'll start with the one good thing about Rira's: The potato cakes. They are AWESOME. However, the service is not very good. The servers are not attentive and sometimes have an attitude problem. The drinks are not very good. If you order anything else on the menu besides the potato cakes, you are taking a risk.
