Been living here for four years, and when management changed, it changed for the worse. Other reviews aren't kidding, the buildings are so horrifically insulated that constantly running the A/C in July/August will still leave you sweating while racking up a $200+ electric bill per month for a 1-br apartment. There are always roaches running all over the sidewalks in the evening and we've had countless roaches and a few mice find their way into our second-floor apartment. Even the floors and walls are made cheaply; a relic of the construction, of course, but it's not going to change any time soon. The floorboards creak terribly in our place just from lightly walking around, and I feel awful for the downstairs neighbors. Maintenance people are sketchy and will abandon their work half-done. And rent just creeps higher and higher with time.

Your money gets you nothing but location here, and the proximity to campus and downtown is just NOT worth it. Find a better place.

I begrudgingly lived here for two years and hated every minute of it. When we moved in, they had not finished cleaning the place, there was trash in the bedroom, painting was half finished in bathroom, the storm door was broken (and never got fixed), the bathroom door was broken (and never got fixed...then they charged US to replace it), and there were no outlet covers in any room. The office personnel don't know what they are doing, tell you one thing and do another. If you live here, get everything IN WRITING because they will throw that in your face when you have complaints. We were told that the ratty carpet was being replaced and all we had to do was vacuum, but then when we moved out they charged us for a cleaning fee. They probably put down new carpet on top of that anyway. If you have anything broken, don't expect maintenance to get to it in a timely manner. We had mold grow in our bedroom closet twice from water leaks in the upstairs apt. Instead of fixing the pipes that were leaking, they paint over the mold the leaks create. Very disappointing place!!! Never ever would I recommend this place to anyone. I wanted to live there to be close to campus, but in retrospect, I wish I would have lived elsewhere and drive 30 minutes to campus. The gym is very limited and only has three machines. Our apartment complex was also infested with roaches, and no matter how much you spray, these rat-sized roaches get in. When we got cable, the cable guy had to drill a hole in the side of our apt to run the cord because ours was being run from the apt upstairs. On about five occasions, they falsely charged us for a pet fee, late fees, and such, and it took way too much time to get it all sorted out. They sent us eviction papers after they forgot to renew our direct withdrawal for rent when we renewed our lease. They are very disorganized and unreliable. Please don't live here. If you want to be close to campus there are some nice townhouses close by, as well as houses, and many apartments have a bus route that could bring you to campus. Do anything you want. Just don't move in here! Trust me!
