I was shocked to read the review by Jackie C. I can honestly say the pastor at Victory has never taught that ANY gift of the spirit is a pre-requisite to salvation. The only pre-requisite to salvation is believe in Jesus Christ as personal Savior. I think Jackie C. is confused about the difference between salvation and baptism in the Holy Spirit. Baptism in the Holy Spirit makes it POSSIBLE for the person to speak in tongues, and the pastor teaches that, of course. But I've never heard him teach anything that disagrees with what I read in the Bible. In fact, he always tells the congregation NOT to believe anything anyone says that disagrees with God's Word--even if it were to come from him (which hasn't happened with anything I've ever heard him say since I started attending in 2002). Also, contrary to what Jackie C. said in her review, the pastor is very protective of children. He wouldn't stand for abuse of a child in any way! He would be the first to report it. He is a man of integrity and compassion for others, and he lives his life that way. I recommend that if you are reading these reviews because you are considering visiting Victory, that you do so and find out the truth for yourself. You won't be sorry.

I am commenting on the last review. I have been a member for 6 years. Everything this person stated is false. The pastor DOES NOT condone child abuse and being saved is based in what Jesus did on the cross, not any gift of the spirit. The worship is awesome and we are taught the Word of God and how to apply it to our lives.

I must disagree with the other reviews. My daughter wanted to start going there because she had some friends that went there. It was a horrible mistake. She was told that if you can't speak in tongues you are not saved. The pastor condones child abuse and told me he knew this had happened in the past. I would never speak badly about a church unless I truely believed it was EVIL.

After 20 years in the Raleigh area we have finally found a church that is biblically sound lead by a humble true man of God. Once a month on Weds. night the pastor has a question and answer night. I learned more in that hour and a half than I had learned in over a year in church. If you are not being fed and not growing it may be time for you to experience Victory Fellowship.

I have visited Victory Fellowship a couple times and have really enjoyed it. The church has great worship and Biblically solid teaching. I like that the church is very multi-racial and that people wear whatever they are most comfortable in. The church really seems to encourage people to be themselves. I also appreciate that there are a lot of life groups, a homeschool group and an emphasis on local missions.
