The Timbuck II Shopping Village is a great place to shop. We go many times during our stays in N.C. They have a restaurant, fudge store, nut store, pet supply store, a few clothing stores and many more stores. They have a playground for the kids and hammocks to relax on. Alot of the stores are closed during the off season. We have gone just for the playground.

Although it looks small from the street, there are quite a few stores packed into this shopping center. The stores have verything from beach toys and trinkets to homemade fudge and ice cream to specialty and designer clothes and crafts, and as a result TimBuck II has everything you would want in a a place like the Outer Banks. Located in the northern Outer Banks in Corolla (across from the Buck Island development and the Food Lion shopping center), TimBuck II is a great place to shop if you're looking for some fun while you're in the area on vacation (or a good place to go to get away from the relatives!). Most of the stores are specialty shops (I love looking at the beach glass jewelry), although they have stores that are located throughout the Outer Banks and sell the typical tourist T-shirts, towels, etc. The ice cream store and fudgery are delicious, and there is even a go-kart small racing track if you have kids who want to play. There are benches throughout the shopping center if anyone needs a break (or if one of the guys wants to sit and read, away from the stores) and even a playground and sandbox in the center of the area for the kids. Parking is a problem - there are some spots around the stores and in a small area underneath the stores, but in the summer months you'll be hard-pressed to find an parking without driving around for awhile. If you go in the off-season, make sure to see if the stores are open - lots of times they close during the winter due to lack of business, but their stores in Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills will probably be open instead. Enjoy!
