Martha is the Queen of the 1 Hour Pedicure! I run, play tennis, and am hard on my feet, but they are soft and callous-free thanks to Martha. I see her once a month without fail, and she keeps me on my feet and in sandals! Her leg massage keeps me coming back for more!
Erin at the front desk is a sweetheart and always remembers my name, making me feel welcome to be there.
Finally, my husband sees Heidi for massages and says she is amazing!
I highly recommend Mina's, and especially Martha!

I tried several different spas in the area with average results before I found Mina's Studio. Mina's is by far the best place in the Triangle for a manicure and pedicure. I would definitely recommend Martha for the pedicures. Martha does an excellent job and is very professional and courteous to her clients. Thank you Mina's Studio for providing such quality service!

Best pedicure in town!!! Mina's is THE spot for pedicures! Try and ask for Martha - she does the BEST job I've been to in North Carolina!

While the atmosphere at Mina's is pleasant enough, LouAnn is not the color expert she advertises herself to be on the Mina's website. Twice I have left the salon to come home and find that my roots are red and the rest of my hair is brown. The first time I thought maybe she didn't notice since I left with wet hair and someone else washed me out so I went back the next day to left her try to fix it. It was better but still not an exact match. The second time, LouAnn cut and dried my hair after she did my color. She commented that she would need to tweak my formual next time but never said anything to indicate that my roots were once again not the same color as the rest of my hair. This time is actually worse because the first couple of inches of my hair off my scalp are three different colors. The worst part about this is that I was allowed to leave the studio with bad hair and the burden is put on me to go back to have it fixed. I am too disgusted at this treatment to go back to have it fixed. I also know another woman who had the exact same experience at Mina's. Obviously, they like to charge quality prices without providing quality service.

This is a nice salon. They do everything too, from waxing to make-up. You can be confident that they will do a fine job b/c everyone is well trained. There was a little pressure to buy products, but just in the form of recommendations which is helpful if you're looking for something new. It's a little pricey for the service, though. I felt like I was paying for the peace of mind of knowing I was at a professional salon--which can be worth it.

I have been to many other salons in the area, but I like Mina's most. Everyone there is friendly and professional, but I always get the best service and the best results. I love my new haircut--thanks!

In all fairness, my bad experience was with a single stylist. When I was (tactfully) unhappy with my hair, she became highly defensive and not only refused to correct it herself, but insisted that the other stylists could not "help" me either. I assume the management would have been more professional, if not apologetic, but I was so stunned, I didn't pursue it. And I can't help wondering if the employee's attitude reflects the employer's. This is the worst service I've ever received, bar none.

Mina's Studio will always be my #1 choice in the triangle!

When I called for an emergency cut with my favorite stylist, I was told she wasn't available for several days, but the kind receptionist offered to put me on a waiting list and they'd give me call if anything opened up. To my surprise, they called later the same day and worked me in! I was impressed with the level of customer service from the front desk, but also with my stylist who never fails to make me feel wonderful and keeps my hair looking phenomenal!

Mina's Studio is ahead of the rest in customer service, up-to-date styles and they manage to always make me feel at home and welcome in their space. Thanks!

It has been a long journey finding someone I can trust to be my stylist, and in my profession, having a put together look is necessary when I give presentations to my clients. After finding a great stylist in Alejandra, I have been at ease knowing that I will walk out of Mina's looking great everytime. Cheryl at the front desk is always helpful in setting up a massage with Heidi as well, for a wonderful total package of relaxation and comfort - thanks to Mina's, the stress is gone when I go to the salon now!

Recently I had a formal party and of course the only place I'll ever choose in chapel hill is Mina's! I had the whole nine yards hair, manicure, pedicure, and makeup, it was fantastic, even my husband was fascinated and now he comes to Mina's for his haircuts and manicures! thanks Mina's for all the compliments I received on my look!

I felt compelled to write a review after becoming a new customer over 6 months ago - I always get star treatment at Mina's, from my entrance to my massage, facials, or even if all I do is have my hair styled - Mina's is the BEST. They always try to work around my schedule, and make me feel as though I am the only customer they will have that day. Its always refreshing to feel as though I'm on a mini vacation!

WORST salon experience ever! They did not follow my instructions, gave me a horrible haircut cutting off 5 inches when i came in for a trim, and were incredibly rude when I expressed my unhappiness. I was really shocked but their unexpectable attitude. I would never recommended this salon to anyone!

I have been to Minas more than a few times over the years and gotten everything from decent service to, the last time I went, just plain awful! I won't be going back, and would not reccomend them. For almost 200 dollars I got streaky, fake looking highlights and an uneven haircut. I was rushed throught the whole thing and had to leave with wet hair.

I have been going to Mina's for years now, and I can honestly say that they remain the best in the Triangle! Not only is Mina's a full service salon, the salon is beautiful, always clean and everyone there is always pleasant and willing to answer my questions. Even the front desk staff knows my name and what stylist I see. I am always warmly welcomed, and my hair always looks great (I get compliments all the time!). Rude front staff. The worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The nails were not shaped or filed evenly. The regular pedicure is suppose to last 1 hr as opposed to their mini pedicure; well don't bother my regular pedicure was less than 30 min. I am not one to complain about any service but I honestly can't believe what a horrible job they did. I have received better manicures and pedicures for less than half the price.

I'm new to the area and have spent over $500 in 2 other salons trying to find someone with some talent for coloring my hair but, could have done better trying to do it myself. I've come to realize that "word of mouth" is more than a cliche. An always fabulous looking co-worker of mine recommended me to Jaymie at Mina's salon. I am so pleased! Jaymie listened to my needs and made color suggestions that compliment my skin tones. She fixed my terrible, unnatural color with beautiful highlights. My color looks natural and shines.

After having a real horrrible haircut by a salon near Falconbridge, Sheila at Minas was able to restore my hair. She is very pleasant and accomodating. She listens and discusses how she will cut your hair. I would definitely recommend her.

First time coming to the salon and had a manicure and pedicure by Mariana and it was great. I had problems finding a good salon in the area and Minas worked out great for me. Good location and parking near Chapel Hill. I'm going to come back next time and try out a massage and hair style next. Thanks Mariana!

While visiting Chapel Hill my friend recommended Mina's Studio as an all day retreat. They call it Queen for a Day, and thats exactly how I felt. The staff was very personable and all the services were way beyond my expectations. I'm still getting compliments on my hair color (thanks Eileen). Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be back!

I have visited almost every other premium hair salon in this area, as a dark, fine-haired brunette who has always just wanted to be blonde. After many nightmares of double-processing and total bleaching elsewhere, I came onto this website, and chose Mina's based on it's high rating. I called them on New Year's Eve, and they managed to fit me in for both a free consulatation and a long corrective appointment, that day, so that I wouldn't have to go out on New Year's with horrible roots showing. I had Heather as my stylist, and her work actually exceeded my expectations. She corrected the roots and the tone of the blonde, and for the first time EVER, it actually looks natural! The cut and blow-dry were just as top-notch as the color, and I can't wait to go back again. Finally I have found the best salon in Chapel Hill!

Sadly this salon is not worth a repeat visit. I hoped to have a more trendy cut, and walked out with average ho-hum. The color was not even close to what I was told I would get. I had to go somewhere else to have it fixed.

Love the atmosphere and people at Minas. Looking for the big city beauty salon feel but wanted to friendly atmosphere and I found it with Mina's Studio. Andre welcomed me right when I came in and that started a great afternoon at the salon. I like that they can provide so many different services to cover massage, manicure, hair, etc. Worked out great being close to Franklin Street too!!

everything was fine - the salon was fine, the haircut was fine - just not exciting. If you are looking for a safe cut, you should be fine. But if you want funky or creative, keep looking. I am still looking for a salon here to create my San Francisco hairstyle...

I am fairly new to North Carolina; I moved here in January 2004 with my USAF husband. I am originally from Dallas, Texas, so I was used to the big city life, with great salons, great shopping, etc. Upon moving to NC, I was devastated to find that NOBODY could cut hair! After two traumatic experiences, I finally banned NC salons and got my hair cut again in Dallas.

However, I decided to take a chance and get my hair cut at Mina's Studio. I asked for the best stylist there, and they recommended Sheila to me. She is, in a nutshell, FANTASTIC. When my old stylist cut my hair, I'd get compliments DAILY... and now that I've got a competent stylist again, the compliments have come back full force.

Now, any time anyone asks me where I get my hair cut, I simply say, "Sheila at Mina's Studio."

I was new to the area and a friend told me about Mina's. I was very impressed with how beautiful the salon was! I felt so relaxed and far away from my busy , busy everyday life. I also was lucky enough to get a wonderful stylist named Sheila... she was awesome! my hair was in such bad shape, from lots of color and highlighting ( not to mention i was having a bad day!) and she made me feel beautiful outside as well as in! I got a great cut, great color and what an outstanding personality she has! She made me laugh til my sides hurt! I now go to her on a regular basis and I wanted everyone to know how Sheila made me feel so much better about myself. Not only is she my stylist, I consider her my friend!! Thanks Sheila .....Sue

Angela came recommend to me by a friend who called her the "eyebrow goddess." She was absolutely correct. I'm a self-proclaimed maniac when it comes to the brows which is why I'm in her room every two weeks for some much needed maintenance. Sadly, I'll be moving soon and it's too bad she can't move with me. It will take forever to find someone new. I'll make sure to stop in next time I'm back in CH for a quick pick-me-up.

After moving to the Triangle, I was hard pressed to find a great salon. After many attempts, I was thrilled to finally find Mina's. I now have a great haircut and great highlights that I continuously get compliments on and considering what my hair looked like before - this is a miracle. I defnitely recommend Mina's...I wouldn't risk going anywhere else.

Great experience and they definitely live up to their name as the best in the Triangle (first heard about them when they won best hair salon in triangle by Independent and Citysearch but they've won a bunch of other awards since from Chapel Hill News, Herald Sun, Metro magazine and others). All the people working their were great and the front desk was very helpful. They have everything you need all at one place and all close to UNC - hair, body, skin and nail services! They provide the big city salon experience in a great environment, friendly service and convenient location. They also provide other services such as packages and bridal services which I've heard good things about as well. I like the extended hours and that they are open 7 days a week which works for my odd working schedule.

I'll definitely be back.

Today was my second time visiting Mina's. Actually, I'd never tried lash-tinting before, but now I'm hooked!

My eyebrows were a *wreck* going in; I emerged with beautiful and defined eyebrows - just as I requested.

My brazilian wax was quick, and the least-painful I've ever had.

After recently moving to the area from CA and getting an awful haircut elsewhere, I tried this place--and was delighted! My stylist, Heather, was very friendly and did a great job of shaping up the wreck! I got numerous compliments on the cut. Would highly recommend!
