I recently had my hair colored, highlighted and cut by the new manager there, Linda. It was about half the price I usually paid and the best color and cut I ever had!

The Creedmore location at Strickland was old and out dated, Now what a change. Nice new Complex, Nice new Shop, and a great staff. Looks and feels like the place I want to be a return customer at. If you have not been by the shop, give it a try. If you stopped going, give it another shot, you will be happy!

I went out with a group of girlfriends about a month ago and one of my friends had just gotten her hair highlighted and cut. It was awesome! I asked who did it and she told Tracy over at Fantastic Sams. I was floored - I didn't know they did color or had experience. She looked like she spent $200. I made an appointment now I look awesome too . . . and saved $ that I can use to go out next week!

Pros: Great results, $$ is fair, my stylist was friendly and took her time with me.

Cons: none - wish I would have gone sooner

I'm a "young" grandmother and was visiting my grandkids and needed a cut. This place was near their home and I didn't need an appointment. I walked in and was taken right away. They offered me coffee and tea. The place felt cozy and I felt at ease - hate going to new places but this one was friendly and helpful.

Traci did my hair and styled it for me. My son and his family liked my new look . . . now if only I did have to drive 7 hours to get Traci to do my hair again! She waxed my eyebrows too.

I thought their price was fair for the service I got. I'm not a $60 haircut person but those $10/$12 places make me nervous. I always wonder about the quality. This salon was in between both extremes and everyone there seemed experienced. And to top it off, I got a senior discount because I was there during the week before 2 or 3pm (forgot time). It was 10% off.

I really liked this place and will visit again next time I'm in town.

I saw mixed reviews but decided that the most recent one was after there was a change in ownership or something. I took my entire family there this past week. We really enjoyed our time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They offered us coffee and water for the kids. Saved a few bucks not going to Starbucks (LOL).

The whole salon did our hair. Amy, Tracy, Kathy and Necce did my family's hair - Husband, myself and three kids under the age of 7. Everyone that worked there was nice which was nice because my kids "HATE" getting their hair cut.

I went back and had highlights done by Tracy. I made an appointment since my husband was off for the day . . . that was a treat!

I liked the choice of shampoo and styling items. My husband was out of Tea Tree - the tingling feeling wakes him up in the morning.

Amy did my hair and did a great job. She really listened to me and gave me what I wanted. She took her time with me and was very funny. Necce did my husband's hair - it looked great - the last place we went you could see lines where they cut.

Tracy and Kathy took care of the kids and did a great job. I went back and had higlights put in. Amy wasn't available so I made an appointment with Tracy - she was great . . . I splurged and got a conditioning special because I've been in the sun too much this summer.

Right now they have shampoo on sale - we got 2 large bottles (liters I think) for $16 - that will last us through the rest of the year!

When I went back, I got a pink shampoo/bottle called SFactor - it was worth every penny - my hair feels AMAZING!!! I got my color on Wednesday and got 10% off - it was ladies' day.

They have luau thing this weekend - August 16th. We all got a chance to win a year of haircuts just by coming in and getting our hair cut - we also got extra entries with our shampoo.

They gave us a flyer with information for this weekend! Their website is easy to remember - it is www.fantasticsamsraleigh.com

Well I hope this helps! I usually don't write reviews and came across this one. It sounds like that person that gave a bad haircut doens't work there anymore.

I haven't been to the Fantastic Sams since early 2006. Service was average and the place was dark with outdated decor. However, I recently visited the salon and could not believe I was in the same place. Warm, rich colors reminded me of a Star Bucks rather than a Fantastic Sams. There was a receptionists that checked me instead of the stylists. She offered me coffee from one of those brew-by-cup fancy machines. They also had tea and water refreshments. The team was friendly and seemed to be very experienced. They have a brand name color line - Wella and I was impressed. Wood floors and track lighting with black leather chairs - wow - is all I can say. My stylists, Clare was friendly and knowledgeable. We talked about different looks and my routine so she could understand what was good for me. I went with all over color, highlights and a new cut. I felt like a new woman when I left. I would recommend this salon to my friends and have done so . . . evidently a new owner took over in Feb/March of 2006 and a lot of things have changed . . .for the positive.

This was my first and last trip to Fantastic Sams. I'm 55 years old and have had my share of bad haircuts but hands down this one wins the prize for the worst .

The lady who cut my hair asked me how I wanted it cut and I told her that I wanted a scissor cut and to just shorten it all over. She did cut it with the scissors but unfortunately didn't stop there. She said that she needed to use the clippers to "shape it up" and proceeded to buzz everything off both sides of my head down to the skin. After that she had to shorten the top to match the sides.

My wife wanted me go back and demand my money back but I never intend to set foot in one of those places again.

This is truly the "cut" in a box store. I felt like they were doling out cuts the same for everyone. Although the stylists seemed concerned and attentive, I did not feel like they were really listening to what my son wanted for his cut. It was quite disappointing. The location is easy to get to and the price was reasonable.
