Ray's bait and tackle shop is one of the best bait shops I have ever been inside of, this place is packed from floor to ceiling, with one of the best assortment of plastic baits you could ever ask for. The prices are great and the staff is first rate.
This is my first, but not the last visit to Ray's Bait and Tackle in Eden, NC. Went there today and purchased a new Rod and Reel by Shimano. Ray paid very close attention to my needs the entire time I was there. He had customers coming and going, and had to leave me a few times, but for only a minute or two at a time to fill a reel for a customer and then right back to my needs. Prices were great. Lower in price then any other place I have shopped including on-line.It takes me close to an hour to get to Ray's, but I feel the experience is well worth the time and effort to get there. Even after the purchase, Ray was very helpful with my questions and had some really great tips and comments for me. I cannot wait to go back there again.
UPDATE:
I have been back to Ray's one week later and purchased another great rod and reel. Once again I was treated as if I have spent a million dollars there. They treated me with great care and was sensitive to every need.
Again, I look forward to going back to Ray's Bait and Tackle!
THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING THAT A HUNTER OR FISHERMAN COULD DREAM OF. A HUGE INVENTORY AND FRIENDLY KNOWLEDGEABLE SALES STAFF. THE PRICES SEEMED TO BEAT EVEN THE BIG CATALOG STORES, OR WERE THE SAME. THEY WERE OPEN AT LEAST 12 HOURS A DAY, EVERYDAY EXCEPT CHRISTMAS DAY. IF THEY DIDNT HAVE IT, THEY WILL SPECIAL ORDER IT FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST AND GET IT IN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS IN MOST CASES. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED!
My b/f and I always go here for all our needs. If you cannot stand being able to look without being hassled, stay away. We recommend them to all our friends, many people know Ray from school or from just seeing him around
I like going to this store because they have such a variety of things there. I like to fish and they have about anything you'd want to use. They also sell guns. Their prices are usually lower than other places and they are very friendly.
