My daughter lives here in charlotte and when I visit we always go to visit Julie and Eve. This has been a tradition for about 3years. Lunch and get our hair done. I made a last minute trip down and we couldn't get in with either stylist that we wanted but Eve assured me that I would love Jay. So I trusted her word and she was so right. He gives the best head massage I have ever had and I have been to alot of salons. He is a sweet boy and made me feel important. So now I have 3 choices and I couldn't be happier.

I really enjoyed my whole experience at this salon. I requested a same day appointment and my appointment began on time and was finished in less than 1.5 hours. Mackenzie was great. I was not exactly sure what I wanted and she did a great job of helping me narrow it down. It looked exactly how I thought it would. I originally had dark brown hair and went with some warm blonde highlights. The cut was SUPER! I really can't think of one negative thing to say! I would definitely ask for Mackenzie.

I have been to lisa a few times and this past time had a keratin straightening done.She really sold me on this.I literally had fuzz on my head and now its straight and soft.I keep running my hands through it.Her cuts are also great.thank you lisa

I needed a quick color refresher and contacted the color expert salon. The salon stated that their styists were booked for the day but the manager Eve, whom does not do hair regularly, took care of me that day. My hair looks fabulous. I am from Pennsylvania and it is difficult to get a cutting edge look. She took the time to listen about my previous hair stylists, what I liked and disliked, and she offered many suggestions. At this salon they promise a personalized hairstyle and they delivered. If only they could franchise one up north along with some of their experts! This is the place to go.

The first time I went to Hair Color Xperts - I loved it. Great service and I liked the color. It was very natural. Now I realize that the highlights were only good because the stylist followed followed what was previously done(at a different salon). My second visit did not go so great. Now, my highlights are unnatural blond. The color is about 3-4 times lighter than anything I would ever wear. When I called to see if it could be fixed, the stylist was out on vacation and they could not accomdate me to fit with another stylist. "Sorry" is the best you'll hear from Hair Color Xperts.

Daniel has been my stylist for several years now. I can't say enough wonderful things about him. At the time of my appointment, he is always focused on me. I trust him completely to come up with my current style and highlights. His speciality is highlights. Daniel takes a lot of care to make sure that my blonde highlights are always just right.

If you are in need of a stylist, I highly recommend Daniel. He is talented, professional and cares about his work.

I went to Jay months ago as a model for a class he was doing for highlights and have been back to him a few times since. He is very talented and detail oriented. I have sent a few friends to him and they liked him too. What really stood out was how much he likes what he does. His coworkers all greeted me as they walked by and that made me feel really good. I recommend Jay to anyone.

Recently moved here from upstate NY with my family. I was at the wine store and walked by the salon. I noticed they had my favorite hairspray so I went in to buy it and I met Trent. He complimented my hair and said he also liked that hairspray. I went home and 2 weeks later I looked the salon up and there was Trents name w/alot of good reviews. It was fun to piece it all together. I decided to go to him for my color and haircut last week. My hair and Trent are perfect! I just love him. What pride he has and he very well should be proud. I am so happy.

I really needed to get my hair cut soon, I had been putting it off for a while because I've tried 3 stylist down here and have been disappointed almost every time. I talked to Jenny on the phone and she said she could do my hair the next morning. WHAT A MISTAKE. When I got there she was very unprofessional, she was wearing a tshirt with guns on it? Every one else was dressed nice, it just seems out of place. She didn't have any input on what I wanted even when I asked her what she though. I got a cut and color, I requested that we cover all the red I had in my hair I wanted it dark brown. She smothered my hair with the dye, like literally I was just waiting for it to drip off, I have never had anyone do such a messing job putting color in my hair before.

So moving along she then washed it out..... but hardly when I got in the car on my way home I realized she didn't even rinse all of the dye off of my hair line AND I had a big chunk of it in my ear. Luckily it didn't get on my clothes or else I would have been very mad.

I wanted a trim, my hair was a little uneven so I wanted her to even it out a little bit. All she did was literally cut straight across the back of my neck with the scissors, she didn't trim the other layers of my hair? It looked OK but honestly I felt like I was a 5 years old getting a trim from my mother.

It was obvious to me that she does not like what she is doing, she's just going through the routine to get a paycheck.

My husband and I go to Daniel at this salon. I get a highlight and haircut. It took months of begging my husband to spend the extra $5 to get a nice haircut for himself. I have been very pleased with Daniel, but my husband can't get over the difference in his hair. He actually likes to style it before work now. Daniel thank you for making my husband look like he did when I married him...well considering its been 12 years.

I love me hair. I am that girl that never takes risks with her appearance, but I lost alot of weight and ditched my loser man and I decided to take the risk. All I did was look for weeks at peoples hair until I saw the look I wanted. She wrote down 3 names along with this salons name. I begged her to tell me which one was better and she said that all 3 did her hair depending on her schedule. I went with fate and called and took whichever person I got. Her name is Julie and she was great. She modified the look according to my hair type but I can't tell anyone enough about her. She just nailed it.

This salon was my second in 48 hours. You may find my bad review about another salon on here. This was no joke. I walked in to this salon because I had no choice on a sunday after having my hair ruined the night before. I just wanted someone to tell me what to do with it. The desk girl brought eve up and she pretty much told me I was in for a few months of repairing and she was willing to help me there. I just spilled my guts about how this other salon was horrible and it cost alot. She let me vent and all she could say was, well I deal with this situation all the time and if you trust me then lets start today on getting you a pretty color and treatment. I was kinda bummed because I wanted her to share in my anger, but she didn't even say a bad thing about the other salon. Long story short, that day I left a light brown and i went back recently for a treatment and she was so proud of my at home care that she felt it was safe to start getting me blonde again. I was hoping she would say that, but i wasn't going to push my luck. So I am on the right track now. I did ask her why she never pushed the other salon subject and if you ever met eve her answer made sense. She said we all mess up but if i did that to someones hair then i would quit and find a new job. and i think she really would. she and the others there are so nice to me and i can't thank her enough.

I just moved to Charlotte, and the first thing I looked for when i got here was somewhere to get my hair done. I looked at several places and decided to try out hair color xperts. Before I moved here I decided to color my hair all over dark when I am naturally a blonde. I wanted to go back blonde again when i moved to charlotte but was very nervous about finding someone who would be able to do it right. When I came to hair color xperts I was so comfortable from the moment I walked in to the moment i left. I went to leslie and she listened to everything I had expressed to her about being a blonde. She told me all my options and not only listened to what I wanted but also gave me opinions of what she thought would compliment me overall. She made me comfortable and confident. She really made me feel important! I loved the results and I will definatly be back. From the color, cut and the friendly environment I will definatly be back!

I went to sally's supply store and bought some bleach and tried to foil my own hair. It wasn't too hard to do but I ended up with polka dots throughout my hair. I then tried to fix it with another color and that made it worse. I relied on the reviews here so I went to this salon. I walked right in and the manager greeted me and took me right back to Taylors chair. They both discussed what could be done and they even considered my budget. I felt very comfortable and they told me they had fixed alot worse which was a relief. I can't even tell you how amazed I was with the results. Taylor kept me a soft blonde and made the polka dots go away and jay cut my hair. Although money is tight I will make room in my budget to return to this salon. From beginning to end it was a great experience. I forgot the managers name but thank you for taking care of me the same day.

I do have pretty nice hair and I was really nervous to have someone new color it. I was used to the same hairstylist for 5 years. I went here and to another salon for consultations only. I ended up picking this salon based on juli's experience and her ideas for my cut. Although I kept the color the same, I let her play with the cut. I love it. I can't say how happy I am with it. She really took her time and the color matched too. I would recommend this salon.

I turned my hair a funny orange color at home and tried to fix it myself 2 times after that. Obviously I had to get some help. I called a few salons based on the reviews on here and after getting the run around about prices and put on hold for minutes at a time, I finally called this salon. They put the manager on the phone quickly as if this was a common thing to them. She told me to stop in and have her look at it and we would discuss everything from there. I went in that day and was told its fixable and 3 hours later I had pretty much what I was trying to get at home. She made it quite clear that it would take a few times to get me to blonde safely. And I had to promise to not color it at home in the mean time. Ask Eve and Lisa about me...the girl that dragged in her empty loreal boxes. Honestly they helped me out.

I went to this salon a few months ago based on the reviews. I went back last week for my 2nd visit. I had Juli the 1st time and Jenny the 2nd time. I was very pleased both times and was glad they kept track of the color used. It is very hard to find a salon open on Sundays and thats a bonus for me with my work schedule/family.

The reviews on here could not be real. This was the worst experience of color I have ever had. After moving to charlotte, and speaking to other women who have had highlight disasters and color botch jobs this is not a place for people who have had color for years. Don;t go!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My highlights were terreble and after 2 trips back I would never recommend this salon to anyone.

I was blond for many years and one day I thought I'd try to be brown. Just thought I needed a change. Sometimes change isn't always good. I hated my hair brown. I've been to several supposed top notch salons in Charlotte and can I just say they do not meet the top notch status and the customer service was horrible. None of them were able to get my hair blond again. It was always this yucky brassy color. I did some research and based on the reviews I read about haircolorxperts I thought I'd give them a try. Thank god I decided to do that. I'm blond once again! YAY!! Trent was my stylist there. He was very professional and took time to explain to me the process it would take to get me back there. He did not try to change my hair all at once but we did it in stages. He was very honest with me and considered what my hair had been through with these other salons. I'm so glad we took it slow. Now I have blond healthy hair. I couldn't be happier. If you guys are tired of stylists not listening to you then give Trent/Haircolorxperts a call. Thanks again Trent for doing such an amazing job.

I travel alot for work and happened upon Jenny at HaircolorXperts on a business trip two months ago. I was nervous to get my hair done by someone new but it was an emergency. She gave me an amazing cut and showed me the products I need for my hair. I recently moved to the area and decided to give her a try with my color. Again she did an amaxing job;even changed it a little . I don't ordinarily like change but this was definitely for the better! Everyone in the salon was very helpful from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. I was very impressed with everything there.

I ruined my hair at home trying to save time and money. It turned orangish/pink in areas, but really muddy on the ends. I looked online and ran across this salon. When I called they put Eve on the phone and she told me she did not have time available to fix it herself but recommended Lisa or Daniel. She told me to come right over.
Eve took me to Lisa's chair and they looked at it together. I felt at ease when Eve said Lisa didn't need her help and that Lisa was a great colorist. She was not kidding. Lisa had me fixed in less then a few hours and I look awesome. I know it will get better each time, but now I have the blonde hair I wanted. I told them I would write this because these reviews do no justice to how professional yet comforting this salon is. I will never attempt to do my own color again. Thank you haircolorxperts for saving my hair!

After having my hair ?butchered? on one side, I started looking for a new salon for my daughter & me. We decided to try HCX based on the CitySearch reviews.

We made an appt with Eve for my daughter. Eve was wonderful! She talked to my daughter & me for a while to discuss what we were trying to achieve & then gave us feedback. She took her time cutting my daughter?s hair making small precision cuts vs whacking away. The result was incredible! My daughter has a very stylish cut that is also very versatile.

While waiting on my daughter, I looked around at the other stylists & their clients. Everyone?s hair that I saw looked awesome! In addition, all of the stylists were very friendly & down-to-earth. Everyone seemed to get along & there was no cattiness going on like in some salons. It was a very pleasant experience for both of us.

I had to make an emergency appt after I home colored my butchered hair. I tried to make an appointment with Eve but she was booked up. However, Eve still came to the phone to find out about my situation. She asked if I needed to come in that day & said Laura could do my color correction. Eve also said that she would be on hand to provide consultation on my hair. When I arrived, both Laura & Eve consulted me on my hair color & current cut. The were very honest about my situation by telling me that getting my hair back to the way I wanted would take some time. They were also upfront about the cost which I appreciated. Laura made me feel very comfortable & had me laughing while she worked on my hair. And Eve would periodically stop by to see how I was doing. I could tell they both really cared about fixing my hair vs just making a buck! Now my color is back to normal & I have a cut that should allow my hair to grow out less painfully. I really appreciate them working me in too ? many salons would not even try to do that?especially on a weekend.

I tried to lighten my brown hair at home and it turned many shades of orange. I was freaking out. I figured this salon would have to be the place to fix it. I called and they told me to come in that day and at least have the manager look at it. Eve was very kind and assured me that it was fixable without damaging it. She did not have time that day to fix it so she sat down with a stylist - Laura and the 3 of us discussed the whole solution. These girls were so professional. I thought they would have laughed at me, but they actually made it a fun experience. I am now a perfect blonde with the coolest bangs - Eve suggested them. Thank you Laura for the fix and I will soon be back.

I've seen both Daniel and Trent and they were both awesome. What I loved was that they looked at my face and hair first and really thought about what would look best on ME, taking into account my eyes, skin, face, etc. My husband always likes my hair longer but he can't get over how much he loves my new (shorter) style. These guys really found a color and style that suits me. Trent is wonderful at drying and styling, I wish he could do my hair every morning!!

I moved here to Charlotte last July and I have had a very difficult time finding someone to cut my curly, long hair appropriately. I went to this salon based on reviews posted here on City Search and also requested a specific stylist, Eve, based solely on these review. EVERY SINGLE PERSON WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!
Eve gave me the best service and the best haircut I have had in a VERY LONG TIME. I receive compliments every single day about my hair and my curls never looked better!!!

This hair cut by Eve is the BEST I have ever recieved. I would recomend her to anyone, she does a great job. I have had so many compliments after this amazing coloring, and cut. I have been so lucky to lay my hair in her hands. Eve Is probably the sweetest person to her customers, and can make them feel comfortable in their chair, and not let them feel unwanted. So when I say she is the absolute best she really is.

I haven't had any time to pamper myself since the baby was born. So a friend recommended Eve at HCS and not only did Eve recommend a great new hair style, but the hair highlights far exceded my expectations. I don't know why I waited so long but I will always return to Eve because not only did I make a new friend but I now have my own personal stylist for life.

I went to Haircolor Experts Parketowne Village. one of my girlfriends recommended Jenny. My hair was past my shoulders and I HAD decided to cut it off. We talked about my options and she really listened to me, repeated things back to "make sure we are on the same page".She gave me this awesome little bob that is so much easier for me to style than my long hair was. Kudos to JENNY!

I usually dont write reviews, but I couldnt let this one go unnoticed. This was my first time in the HCX Parktowne, the stylists were all so proffessional and friendly and really know what they are doing. My stylist, Eve was very honest with me and suggested something I never even thought would look good on me, but when she was done, I was very impressed. Her color and cut made me look ten years younger, I have recieved no less than ten compliments a day, and really makes me feel great. Keep up the good work Eve.

I had an appointment at 12:30 and drove almost 30 miles to get there. When I arrived at 12:15 I was told that the sylist was with another client and that my appointment was actually at 12:00. I told her the appointment was made for 12:30 and I had driven quite a ways to get there. She informed me that there were no other stylist available and I couldn't be seen.

As a consultant who spends 4 days a week in Charlotte but lives in another state, I chose haircolorxperts in ParkTowne Village (right down to my stylist) based exclusively on the reviews I had read here. Couldn't have asked for a better result! I went in looking for a consultation that would tell me "what would work best for me" in the way of cut and color. Daniel sat with me for almost 30 minutes and did just that. He executed flawlessly and didn't bounce between multiple clients as other Master Designers often do. He had a skill for talking "to" me and not "at" me and, on multiple occasions, sat level with me as he talked through the process. I love the cut he gave and the color really works with my complexion. I'm super pleased. Additionally, the salon hours are great, the ambience is fun, and the refreshments were a great touch!

I have been to upscale salons in CA.,FL.,NY, & Las Vegas,...in the past 15 years and have never been really happy with how my long hair was cut. There were times when it was just okay,...but never something that I could say,.."This is it! This is how I love my hair to be cut & shaped!" Eve has long beautiful hair, herself, and just seems to know how to cut long hair. She knew the look I was hoping to achieve & I have never have been able to. She is my HERO!!!!!! I saw Daniel for a haircut and highlights. He really listened to what I had to say and what I wanted. He made recommendations that would suit my hair and personality. He did an excellent job. I would recommend him and plan on seeing for all my future needs. I love my hair. It looks great.

I had made the unfortunate mistake of coloring my hair at home in hopes that I would wind up with hair like the beautiful lady on the box. In case you haven't already figured out where I'm going with this.....I didn't. What I ended up with was hair that resembled Gene Simmons minus the face paint and bloody bat. Flat, black....and ugly. Neil was highly recommended to me as the "go to" guy for color correction. I made the appointment and kept my fingers crossed that it would turn out OK as it's well known that once you go black, it's hard to go back to a softer, natural hue : ) Well, Neil not only gave me the MOST beautiful color I've ever had, he ALSO gave me the BEST cut I've ever had!! I have received so many compliments from both friends and strangers! I needed a big change in hairstyle and he gave me just that! I have looked at myself so many times in the mirror now two days later, that I'm beginning to feel a little vain! : ) I would absolutely recommend Neil to my friends as he not only gave me the much needed change, but was so much fun to hang out with! He listened to what I wanted and FAR exceeded my expectations!! If you read this Neil...Thank you SO much!!!

I live an hour outside of Charlotte and was fed up with going to the same 2 salons everyone in my town goes to. So I did my research and made an appointment with Eve for nothing more then a consultation. I had no idea what I wanted and was just bored with my blonde highlights. She was prompt and very honest about my current look. My skin tone and eye color played a huge part in our decision on the color she was to do. My husband always said I looked fine, so I needed someone else to tell me what I would look better with. Eve certainly opened that door and I found I have a wide range of looks I can wear. I went back a week later to get my hair done and she didn't miss a beat. I look fresh and updated. I can't describe the colors she used, but I can say noone else has taken the time to discuss them with me. As for the cut, I let her have full control. All I know is it takes me 10minutes and I am out the door. Thank you for the steller customer service and advice.

I originally chose this place based on this website's reviews and I couldn't be happier with my selection. The staff is friendly and hospitable, and my stylist, Leslie, does not fall short of the mark. I gave her free reign of my hair upon my first visit and I was very pleased with the outcome. She does a wonderful job and is a pleasure to talk to. You won't be disappointed if you come here.

I saw Jenny at Haircolor Experts on Woodlawn Rd on Saturday and I cannot get over how beautiful my hair looks. She was honest, knew her stuff, and took the time to show me how I can do my hair at home. My husband has never said anything when I have gotten home from the salon before but he noticed this time that I had done something different and told me how much he liked it! I would recommend Jenny to anyone and will be sending my friends to see her.

All I have to say about this salon, is Laura is great. She is thorough but quick. I let her do whatever she wanted with my color. I have the coolest cooper pieces around my face now. The cut is fun and so was she. I can't say I am the pickiest women out there, but I do like to look modern/professional. My expectations were exceeded here.

i've been looking for a good salon in charlotte and after reading reviews, decided to try this one. i was nervous b/c NO one seems to be able to do my color exactly the way i like it, and i figured this would be just another shot in the dark in my quest for the perfect color... :-) (i'm pretty picky about what i like and insist on demensional color)! my appointment was set up with leslie and when i came in she sat down and talked to me and went thru pictures with me so i could decide and show her exactly what i wanted. i've kept my hair heavily highlighted blonde for a couple years now b/c everytime i tried to go darker i came out of the salon looking like i dyed it myself at home, with a boring, allover brown. i was always depressed afterwards and would end up back to blonde. :-) well, i came in a blonde this time and decided to go out a brunette w/ blonde highlights b/c i felt like leslie really understood what i wanted. it's not an easy feat to cover fake blonde with a shiny, not dull or mousy, brown and still keep the perfect amount of highlights for depth. well, she did it. i left soooo happy and am still so glad i decided to go darker. oh, and i actually had a great time there! i ended up talking to trent and leslie during my whole appt, which made the time fly. i've gotten tons of compliments on my new color and it feels so good to know i have somewhere to go now where i can actually trust that the stylist is LISTENING to me!
