I am in the Public Relations business and originally from NYC. I have ordered and eaten my fair share of NY Pizza off of 55 (next to Harris Teeter) and the pizza has been solid.....But this is where the good part of this review ends. After going on a Saturday night, and ordering 2 slices and a calzone to go...the girl who rung me up said 15 minutes. I was with my two young daughters and they were getting restless. To make a long story short, after 45 minutes, and nothing said from the cocky pizza maker/possible owner, I kindly asked for a refund and this mama luc gives me attitude. No apology, no coupon, nothing but a slap in the face to a paying customer who has recommended this joint to friends and family over the past few years. With that being said, I will NEVER give this rude establishment another red cent of my money ever again. I rather get crappy pizza served with a smile than being treated like this place is doing me a favor.

Drive up 55 a few more minutes, hang a left on N. Salem and head to Anna's for a pie that is not only better but the owner there is a gentleman to all of his customers and treats them with respect since we are the ones spending our hard earned money.

I'm from NY and have eaten pizza from the bronx to brooklyn. On it's best day this as good as most NY pizzerias. It is Certainly the best I've had in NC, I just wish the pie making was more consistent. Bottom line is if you are from NY, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Not really New York style pizza. The Pizza was good, but not great for the price. One can expect to pay more when avoiding the "pizza chains", however, the quality of the pizza should match the price.

It is disheartening to me that this is our only location that receives negative reviews. I can only deduct that the reason is that a while back the manager and I decided to let some longtime employees go due to their inability to balance daily receipts and general not following rules. Unfortunately, these employees did not leave our employment with happy memories.
NY Pizza has strived for 20 years to give our customers the best service and maintain the integrity of our product by searching out the best ingredients to be found.
I am always available for dissatisfied customers by way of our website www.theoriginalnypizza.com and through my business line which can be obtained from any of our store managers.
In closing i would like to thank our loyal customers and looking forward to serving you in the future.

Sorry, but this is nothing compared to real NY pizza. It was okay, better than stick it in the oven pizzas at home but not anything special. The prices here aren't that great, especially for what you're getting. The dough is really thin, on basically all the pizzas, so you have to decide whether you like that or not. I have to hand it to them though, because you really can't find a better place in the triangle.
