I have lived in this area for over 20 years. Every time I go to any vet, I call ahead to see what the price may be, to ensure I can pay. Every time I go to this vet, I get a HIGHER price after the services are done. They often recommend tests that do not need to be done in order to jack up the price. I would not recommend this vet to anyone who knows what needs to be done and knows anything about animals at all. In this day and time, in this economy, I feel it is important to have an HONEST vet who is not just trying to get as much money from a client as possible.

I have been taking my 12 year old Yorkie to ELAH since he was a puppy. The staff have been fabulous - they know my dog by name when we walk in or over the phone. ELAH also has boarding and I am always wary because I can't imagine the animals all crated up. I went to pick him up and they couldn't find him in his crate - turns our the staff were taking turns playing with each of the animals so they all got attention while they were being boarded besides just going to the bathroom. (He was playing with on of the ladies in the back.) They really do care about the animals that they serve and it shows in what they do. From time to time over the years, I have brought them animals that we have rescued and they were just as caring to those little ones as my own little one. If I ever had a problem, they immediately fixed it. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone with pets of any kind!

I have used ELAH for many years with my 2 rotties. My oldest rottie had severe arthritis and took arthritis meds and had Adequan shots. To make it easy on us when we brought our dog in for the shots, I just had to go in and say we were here and one of the doctors would come out and give our dog her shot and we'd be on our way because they realized it was quite an ordeal to get her in and out of the car. When either dog got sick, they have always tried to work them in to be seen when I called. When our oldest dog died, 2 weeks later we had to take our young dog in and when I told them about our baby dying they were so compassionate. A few days later we received a sympathy card signed by the staff and doctors--I thought that was so kind. Our young dog has a meltdown when it comes to going into the examining room--she is fine in the waiting room but transforms into a dog we don't even know as she walks the "green mile." She tries to climb under the chair or turns to jelly on the floor and she wails like someone is killing her. The techs & docs have a lot of patience with her. They have taken such good care of our dogs.

A few weeks ago I was in ELAH and in walked a kid with a half-dead, shivering bundle of fur. Turns out it was a 5 week old puppy in horrible shape. I am a rescuer, so of course, I agreed to take the puppy and foster it until it was healthy and we could place it. The doctors and staff at ELAH were AMAZING! They got me in right away (even though it was a very busy Friday afternoon just before Christmas) and Dr. Goodwin and Allyson, the tech, were so sweet and compassionate. They did everything they could to fix up the puppy. She was full of worms, and had Coccidia and fleas. I was sent home with a freshly-bathed, wormed puppy and some antibiotics.

The puppy's recovery has been nothing short of amazing! I brought her in to say "hi" to the staff after about 2 weeks, and she'd more than doubled in size! She's very happy and healthy now, and we have decided not only to keep her, but to keep ELAH as our regular vet for her as well.

I would totally recommend ELAH to anyone in the area. They are wonderful! Especially Allyson and Dr. Goodwin!

We have always taken all of our animals to East Lincoln. The office staff is great, the techs are great, and the doctors are competent. They are very compassionate, and when one of our dogs was hit by a car and didn't make it, they made a donation to the Humane Society in her memory. We've never had a problem, and they've always taken good care of us.

On February 26th my husband dropped our six year old English Springer Spaniel off to be spayed. He picked her up at 6:00 pm as directed by the staff at East Lincoln Animal Hospital. He brought Zoey home and we put her in our bathroom on her bed. We offered her water later in the evening and she acted like she was thirsting to death. We reviewed the instructions from the vet again and gave Zoey her pain meds. She was unable to keep the pill down but the paperwork said she may have an upset stomach. Everything seemed fine before we went to bed at 11:30 pm but at 1:30 am Zoey let out a horrible scream. My husband and I rushed to her only to find her gasping for air and unresponsive. My husband put his pants on to rush her to the emergency vet. I went to get the phone to call them and she was not breathing when I returned. My husband took her anyway because he did not want to believe she was gone. Upon arrival she was pronounced dead and they performed an necropsy. They found that a ligature was not secured tightly which caused her to bleed to death. When they opened her up, her stomach was full of blood. A careless mistake cost our beautiful healthy dog her life. Our family will never be the same. Suzanne M.

About a year ago, I got a new puppy as a gift. Unfortunately, within a matter of days she became very ill. On the advice of friends, I took her to East Lincoln Animal Clinic. The staff was kind and very compassionate, they called us repeatedly during her stay, updating us of her condition. Unfortunately, she had contracted Parvo, so she did not pull through, but that was not their fault.
