I had a facial done with Valentina. It was great!! she was very careful to get all my blackhead out. I enjoyed the service and would definitely do it again and recommend it . If you want someone to not just apply products but to also help your skin detox and get your pores unclogged she is the one!!

I'm not sure what this company's lawyers are up to, but the sign-in sheet itself is a release of your right to sue the company (make you wonder if a lot of their clients need that recourse). Then there is a two page form, one page asking questions about your medical history, then one page requiring releases for every procedure they do.

When I paused at sign-in to read the document, the receptionist tried to hurry me up -- "You just sign right there". I replied that I wasn't in the habit of signing things I hadn't read.

Then when I got the second form I wasn't all that worried about the medical questions -- one might share history of back pain with your masseuse -- except that it goes into Jolie's computer with none of the privacy rights that a medical facility would give you.

The back page of that form required that I give blanket release for a list of spa services -- at that point I balked. I refused to sign for any of the services I wasn't taking. The receptionist made a big fuss, I offered to leave. I certainly won't be visiting any of the Premier Spa Collections.

I had gotten a gift certificate from my boyfriend to use at Jolie. I went in for a permanent wave and I definitely did not get that. I had a perm but, it fell out the very next day. I called them back and they did another perm a couple days later. The stylist, she was really friendly, missed parts of my hair and thus some of my hair was curly and some was not. It looked ridiculous.

I didn't notice until I got home (another city) and realized it looked terrible. Since I have thick course hair, it was recognizable immediately. I had a relaxer done and that was that.

I called Jolie spa a week later to explain what happened and asked what could be done. The manager, Chris, seemed to never come to work and never returned my phone calls. After a week of phone tag, he finally called me back and made me feel as though I was just asking for a handout. Instead of sympathizing with my situation, he made me feel like a criminal and only offered a minimal percentage off the next hair style.

I feel that Jolie took advantage of the fact that I wasn't able to come back so they could see the half straight/half curls. Please do not get your hair styled here. I still have over 50 dollars on my gift card and I refuse to go back.

I had the most relaxing and refreshing experience and now go about 5-6 times per year for a facial with Lynn. I always leave feeling on top of the world. She recommends products when I ask and has offered samples. I have also found Chris to be very helpful and friendly. He always checks with me when I get ready to leave to make sure that I enjoyed my spa day. I always look forward to my next visit and recommend Jolie to anyone looking for an escape from their hectic day!

I was looking for a nearby spa to get some waxing done. Looked up on the net and made an appointment. Then it occurred to me to read some reviews! I was honestly petrified to go there when I read the reviews! I thought I will go for the legs waxing and decide if I will let them do the more intricate parts!
I went there and was greeted well and liked my aesthetician when she came to pick me up. I agree the decoration is a bit outdated, but they have lots of room and maze-like corridors.
She set me up and started nice conversations and she was very gentle, taking her time, and communicating with me as she proceeded. So guess what, I did end up staying for the intricate parts and it went alright! She even worked with me on a breathing technique to reduce the pain!
I wish they would do some renovation and make the place look better. I preferred that a girl would answer the phone instead of a guy, and you don't really want the male manager ask you how you felt after your waxing! some little things ... but I am generally happy with the job they did especially that they really put the time for me.

The decor in the entry is a bit dated, but the location is convenient, the staff professional and friendly, and they do a great job at a reasonable price- so why go anywhere else? I've gone there for massages, and most recently (over the past 18 months or so) regular lower leg waxes and facials. I have been extremely satisfied with the service. I do see the same esthetician each time, Lynn, who does an excellent job: she is punctual, professional, and thorough. I'm pretty surprised to see the negative comments about the manager, Chris. He has always been cordial, and again, professional, and VERY accommodating when I had to make appointment changes or cancellations. I have not been walked in on while changing, but I do lock the door when I'm in the dressing room- it could happen if you don't!

Excuse me, but this was a CUSTOM facial and it was anything but custom!!! Then she popped a few blackheads without even telling me which hurt like hell and I was totally unprepared for. Overall it was the WORST facial I have EVER had and I feel so bad that my boyfriend wasted his money on this! and most importantly, before writing this review, I emailed the manager to let him know what happened, he has YET to email me back and its been over a week! OBVIOUSLY they don't care about their customers, which is why I will NEVER EVER go back here nor will I advise anyone to that awful spa! And the most unbelievable part of the whole experience was that she failed to explain or even tell me what she was doing to my face during the facial, what products she was using or what they were for. Excuse me, but this was a CUSTOM facial and it was anything but custom!!! Then she popped a few blackheads without even telling me which hurt like hell and I was totally unprepared for. Overall it was the WORST facial I have EVER had and I feel so bad that my boyfriend wasted his money on this! and most importantly, before writing this review, I emailed the manager to let him know what happened, he has YET to email me back and its been over a week! OBVIOUSLY they don't care about their customers, which is why I will NEVER EVER go back here nor will I advise anyone to that awful spa! I travel for work. I've visited many spas all over the country. This was a horrible experience! I arrived about 5 minutes early. I was told that my services may be cut short because I had to fill out paperwork first. I have never been "greeted" so abruptly at a spa. When I was escorted to the locker room I was placed in the Men's/coed locker room. While I was undressed and before I got my robe on a male client opened the door, he got a free show at my expense and thanks to Jolie's unprofessionalism. I have no complaints about the therapist, they were professional. But the floors in the massage room and the facial room were sticky. While I was receiving my massage I couldn't relax because of all the noise. I heard people walking in hard soled shoes on the tile floor outside my room. I looked for the construction site because it sounded like the walls were coming down around me. When I left I asked to speak to a manager, but he was not available. I waited more than 20 minutes, he never showed up. I will NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!

I go to Terri for a trim and have been for about a year. She totally gets me and that's really important because "getting me" seems to be an integral part of "getting my hair right". She has a good artistic eye along with the "horse sense" that seems to come natural to a small town girl like herself. She has given me cuts and trims that not only look good the day of the styling, but grow out well until it is time for the next trim. I really appreciate her work and down to earth sense of style- it is tough to find.

I went to Jolie for the first time yesterday; I called a day before and got set up with a time immediately. I told them I'd never been to Jolie before and was looking to get an all-over color from someone in a mid-price range and could he reccomend someone - who was Mindy. When I went there the ambience wasn't as awesome as alot of salons I've been to, but still I liked how it was comfy and not too fussy. I told Mindy what I wanted and she reccomended that I do highlights/lowlights and so I went along with it. It's honestly the best haircolor I've ever had, and I've paid upwards of 150 for haircolor alone before. They also have a great selection of Essie nailpolish that I LOVE. One drawback was that they charged me 25 for a blowdry & shampoo (which you HAVE to do when you get your hair colored) and I've never been charged for that before. But Jolie is definitely going to be my regular hairsalon in Raleigh

Honestly I was happy with all of the staff except him. He needs a reality check if he thinks that this place is something to be proud of. The "spa" was in desperate need of a makeover - starting with the manager. I have been more than once - just to see if he was having an 'off' day (which we all have at times) but this guy's ridiculous attitude remained the same. Thanks to him, I will not be a returning customer - and believe me I drop Money on spas.

I just got back from getting my hair my hair done by Mindy and she is the first person who actually did what I wanted and I highly recommend anyone who needs help with high and low lites Mindy is the person to ask for. She really pulled through for me as I have been to very, very expensive salons in Raleigh and Nashville and yet she knew what to do compared to the other salons. I was nervous going because of some of the previous reviews but Mindy gave me 100% attention while I was there and was on time!! Too many times I have been to upscale salons where they are always running behind. It is amazing to me that the places I went before always left that orange brassy color and Mindy left the prettiest light brown with some blonde hilights. I only wish the salon had products of Bumble and Bumble in stock but I will not hold that against them as Bumble and Bumble is a nice line that everyone likes. I will be back and will recommend Mindy as that is who did my hair.

I had the masseuse Becca and she was fantastic. She took time beforehand to explain what she would be doing and made sure I comfortable, since a massage with hot stones can be a little strange. I was also very happy that she talked me through it before she started, since trying to have a conversation with only a towel on when someone is giving you a massage can be distracting and a little awkward.

The atmosphere was lovely and everyone seemed really friendly. I was surprised when the massage was over that Becca wasn't trying to push me out the door, like they do at other spas. I ran into the manager on my way to pay and maybe I caught him on a good day, but he was very quick to check and make sure my experience was to my expectations. No attitude or anything there.

I know it's always different from the employee's perspective, but as a customer, I enjoyed my stay. I'm going back within the next few months, maybe I'll see what the negative thiis next time, but based on my experience, it's worth a second shot.

I'm relieved to see all the reviews complaining about the staff of Jolie because as a previous employee, I can assure you that you're complaints couldn't be closer to the truth. I took my first job here working as a receptionist and I only lasted three weeks before I literally ran crying out of there. Overall, the staff was not welcoming or friendly. One lady asked me my name and another lady said she didn't really care since none of the receptionists last very long. Hmm, I wonder why? The main reason is the manager. Some of you call him, "that short guy with the glasses", but his name is Chris and yes, he's a real pain. For instance, I was not allowed to sit or read AT ALL, even if the place was dead. He has an extremely strict dress code which he choses to enforce when he apparently feels like it. No halter dresses were allowed. However, when one of the other receptionists wore one, he did not tell her to change. He let her wear it all day with no complaints. The next day, I wore capri pants (unaware they were against the rules) which were slightly dressy since they were tailored and had flowers on them. He told me to go home and change immediately. I was so confused. Why did he allow her to break the rules but not me? Was it perhaps because her CHEST was about to fall out of the dress? Did he enjoy the show? Probably. I understand that I broke the rules and I was sorry. But I just got to work and I live 30 minutes away and he wants me to turn right around and go home. At least let me go during my lunch break. Or let me wear it today and I won't do it again. So I went home and never returned. I told him I wanted to come in later that day and talk to him, maybe we could work it out. But he said he didn't have any time that day. Ha, interesting. I am your employee and I need to talk to you and you don't have any time?
