I finally made my first and last visit to Dikadee's. We went before the Sunday afternoon rush and I warned my husband that I read a bad review about service (the first one posted here). From our experience, to say that the service was abysmal is almost complimentary. We walked up the counter and were greeted with "here or to-go?" without eye contact. She told us to find a table since we were staying. It took at least 5 mins before we had a menu.

I got that Greek chicken wrap thing that they're famous for. It was terrible. The chicken was so bland and dry they should have just given me wood to save themselves some money.

The service was so bad I was starting to feel awkward and uncomfortable for the customers. There were at least 2 tables outside that were greeted after tables who got there afterward were greeted.

I still don't know if the servers were supposed to re-fill drinks or if the customers are supposed to. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE walked up to the counter with empty cups for refills. Because of this misunderstanding, we weren't sure what the tip structure was supposed to be. We gave 15%, which was well-over and above what we should have, but we are restaurant-worker vets so it was a force of habit.

When we asked our server at the register for a re-fill on our way out, my husband politely said 'thank you' and said the usual 'have a nice day' and the server didn't even look up at us to acknowledge the good-bye greeting. Class act.

I'm confident the owners thank their lucky stars everyday for their location because that has to be the only reason this place is still in business.

They get 1 star out of me for the location. I will not hesitate to tell someone to avoid this place like the plague until I see an 'Under New Management' sign.

THANK GOODNESS we made this first (and last) trip by ourselves and not with out-of-towners.

Pros: Location

Cons: Service, food, parking

.

This place has great sandwiches and soups, lots a variety and great service. They also have a great dessert selection of pies and cheesecakes! Great place for kids, getting a bite to eat and escape from work.

I had a terrible experience at Dikadee's Deli at on May 24. The waitstaff was incredibly rude and couldn't even be troubled to get an extra chair so our party of 3 could sit outside. Half of the outdoor seating was roped off (and on a beautiful Saturday, it was a total waste of space), and the only available table had 2 chairs. Since the waiter was unwilling to accommodate us, we went inside. Here, we got to overhear the waitstaff complaining about how long they'd been at work and how they couldn't wait to go home. Service was slow, the waitress got part of our order wrong, and the food was subpar. Their website says that the customer's enjoyment is their goal, but this couldn't be farther from the truth. STAY AWAY FROM DIKADEE'S.

The food at dikadees deli is good if you get there before it gets busy. It's okay to wait a while if it is busy, but at least the product should be on point and the server has to be friendly. They only come to the table 2 times since it's a deli, why not be nice those two times. You can hear everything the staff says to the kitchen and that day one of the kitchen staff was being cussed out and the whole place could hear the manager yelling. I probably would go back again for a togo order, that's all.
