We have been doing business with Gary, Brad, James and Todd for many years now. We have purchased new cars, new trucks and used cars for when our kids started driving. We have never had a bad experience with Modern Nissan of Concord. We know most of their staff by first name and they know all of us. We send all our friends there too. We tell them, "if you want a great deal, go to Modern Automotive in Concord". You will get great sales people, financing catered to what you can afford and great service if you ever need it. We travel from Monroe to Concord for all our vehicles now. They treat us like family and unlike dealerships we have gone to in the past in Monroe, Charlotte and Fort Mill, when we walk into their business, we don't have to worry about any of them taking advantage of us because we are women. Modern Nissan of Concord will always have our family business. Not into Nissan's, than step next door and visit Modern Hyundai. My wife did and she loves her new Sonata. For all your automobile needs, drive to Concord and check out Modern Nissan or Modern Hyundai, the drive and experience will be worth it. Tell them Lisa & Susan Watson sent you.

My family and I went to Modern to look at a Nissan Cube that they had on their website. With gas prices sky-rocketing, we thought we would be proactive and purchase a vehicle with good gas mileage to replace my gas drinking SUV to tote the kids to school in. My husband talked to a sales person on the phone and informed her upon our approval of the car we would take the car home that day and would be paying cash, but that he would not pay sticker price. She assured us that it would not be a problem. Upon our arrival at the dealership and consequent test drive, it was time to come to an agreement on price. We had done tons of research on the value of the car. We made very reasonable offers trying to come to an agreement. The finance manager, Mo Parker, insulted us by talking down to us. He even went as far as to say that maybe it just wasn't in our budget to purchase this vehicle. He was very rude and unprofessional. Take our advice and go elsewhere, we did! We got a much nicer Cube and scored a much better deal, with a more professional manager.

We just bought an Altima last weekend. There were problems from the beginning as the car had 2,700 miles on it. We were able to come to terms that were agreeable. However, during our initial testdrive, we asked the salesman, Travis, about a CD changer. He said we wouldn't need one, since the car has a 2 GB hard-drive. That was fine with us. He reiterated this again after the sale was complete. However, the car does NOT have a hard-drive. We are stuck with a single CD player (which is a problem, since we listen to CDs and our 4 year old has his own CDs to listen to when he is in the car). We would not have purchased this car if we had known about this. I cannot in good faith recommend Modern Nissan to any family and friends because of this issue.

My experience with Modern Nissan of Concord was wonderful. The salesperson was very helpful, and never rushed me or pressured me. Gary Frazier was very nice, and was able to find me the Murano that I wanted. It has over 130,000 miles on it now, and is running great. I will definitely buy my next vehicle from them as well.

My wife and I purchased a Murano from Modern Nissan of Concord ,and we had an excellent experience. The salesman was very helpful, and the manager, Gary Frazier took time to make sure we were finding the perfect vehicle for our family. The service department was also very courteous. We will definitely shop at Modern in the future.

Here's a copy of the BBB complaint against these "people": The manager threatened to charge me with fraud and they cashed my deposit before we agreed it to be cashed. During the financial negotiations between myself, my fiance, and the Hyundai employee, Tony, on 8-8-09, I had agreed to make a $500.00 deposit via checking account check. They promised me not to cash my deposit check until the Cash for Clunkers trade-in was approved and on the same day that I was to pick up my new car. They cashed the check 3 days later on 8-11-09 and did not call me to say it had been approved, and when I noticed they had cashed it on that date the next day, 8-12-09, they still had not called me to say come pick up the new car. I went there and their excuse was Tony was on vacation and they don't know why it had been cashed early but that they would call me later that day when it was approved. I said this is a violation of our agreement and I demand the new car right now and sat in the lobby until they gave it to me 4 hours later. The second part of the complaint is when I handed over the title of my trade-in, the salesman accidently slipped it back in with my new owner's manual and I discovered this after I got home. I called them today to tell them of their mistake and the manager, Mr. Wilson, threatened to file charges of fraud against me if I didn't hand over the title immediately. I said they can send someone to my house and pick it up which they did but first I called the police and had them come witness the hand transfer of the title so Modern Hyundai couldn't say I never handed it over.

Modern's response to BBB was a slanderous statement alledging that I slipped the title out of my paperwork while waiting in the showroom when the title was in my trade-in outside the whole time and they never got it until I got the keys to my new car and they would still have it if their salesman didn't slip it back in with my new owners manual.

I love my new '09 Santa Fe and got a great deal on it for which I would give a 5 star rating if this incident didn't trump over that.

We did our research, we visited other dealerships and it was clear, Modern does not want you doing this. They want you to believe whatever they tell you and if you do your research, you will find they want a $5000 profit...minimum. Avoid them, they are the American Greed Machine.
