During a family vacation, my mom gave my husband and I a night of babysitting, so we hit the town. We had dinner at Circa, and were not disapointed. Very classy! Great food, but with high prices!

My husband and I decided to spend one of our rare nights out at Circa 1922. The atmosphere is very classy, well put together, and tastefully decorated. Our waiter was very professional and did a great job taking care of us.

The best thing about the meal was the appetizer. We ordered fried calamari with a wasabi cream sauce. I am not a calamari fan so I reluctantly tried some - it was like no other calamari I've ever tasted. It melted in my mouth, and the wasabi cream sauce was unexpected and completely delicious.

Unfortunately the rest of the meal did not measure up to the appetizer. I had a lamb shank on cheese grits - the grits were a little chewy and the lamb was slightly gamy. My husband's duck breast was tough and actually pretty flavorless.

Overall it was a very nice experience and we may give it one more chance to see if we can find an entree that compares to that awesoe calamari.

classy joint with an upscale feel. Full scale menu including fresh raw tuna and fantastic desserts. Wait staff all attired in tuxedo dress, and very knowledgeable about the cuisine.

Me and my wife love going to this restaurant, it never fails to impress! The food is always very good, and the service is top notch as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Definitely try the deserts. A+

Pros: The food, service and setting are best in town.

Cons: None really.

I have been to Wilmington over 25 times in the past couple of years, always eating out at a "nice" place each time....this was the best we've had. The food and service were perfect. We didn't hold back, had a bottle of wine, appetizer, 3 tapas entree's (too much for two actually) dessert and after dinner drink, and the bill was under $100 (not including tip). Not one single thing could have been better-

We have been to Circa 1922 twice and both times it has been absolutely wonderful. The food is outstanding and the service is the best we have experienced anywhere. We really like the idea of the small tapas size plates so that we can share and order several things to try. Very reasonable for the high quality food and service that you receive. Also the wine list is very extensive. If you would like to try something new they will let you sample a few so that you can enjoy a great glass of wine. Great place--wish we lived in Wilmington so that we could go more often.
