This is expensive but in the long run it is well worth the price.

I was hesitant to spend alot on plants and shrubs, and this nursery is a little pricey. But one of their coupon offers drew me in. The selection of plants and shrubs is extensive. You can spend the day trying to see everything. I ended up purchasing some shrubs, and they have really grown large and full. Prices are definately more expensive than Walmart or the home improvement stores. But when you see how much better the plants and shrubs grow and how much healthier they are, I think you'll find you are getting your money's worth.

This is a great place to get ideas, even if you can't afford their full-service prices. Be sure to join their club for free and they will send you coupons throughout the year.

Also, a great bargain is their "We Plan, You Plant" service. For about $35 they will have one of their pros look at a picture of your house (with your measurements and lighting availability) and make your area "pop." It's nice because they really know what grows well in the piedmont.

I also took a leaf from a dying tree and the pro was able to diagnose that it was stressed and helped me solve the problem.

New Garden Nursery has a good variety of plants, including some hard-to-find perennials. The staff is helpful and they offer good sales and special events. They have a neat service in which they help you plan a garden.
