While out one evening with my husband and 2 young kids, our car broke down in front of Carolina Carpet. We pushed it into the parking lot across 3 lanes of traffic on busy Raeford Road and were waiting for our friends to show up to give us a tow. The owner (or owner's wife - not sure exactly who she was, but I know she was someone in management at this establishment) came over to me in the parking lot while we were waiting. My husband was on the phone trying to get everything resolved, so she began talking to me. At first, she acted concerned, asking us if everything was alright and if we needed help. I appreciated that and thanked her, but told her that help was on the way shortly. Then, she started to inquire about if and when we could move our car, because she claimed it was blocking access to her store. As far as I could tell, we were moved out of the way, parked right next to a parking space in the lot, and it was after hours, so I did not understand what her problem was with us being there until help arrived. I told her we might have to leave the car there overnight, depending on if we could get the tow company out there right then (for financial reasons). Thinking she would be satisfied with that answer and sympathetic to our situation, I began to console my crying 10 month old. However, she kept belaboring her point, saying that they had "a lot going on the next day" and that our car would have to move. At this point, I could see that she did not come over to us to help at all, but to make sure we weren't customers arriving as they were closing. Before I could say something about her insensitivity, she began to walk away. Then she spun around and said, "YOUR WELCOME. I came over here to HELP you! I COULD just call the cops and MAKE you move your car! This is MY PRIVATE property!" Then, she got into her brand new Envoy and sped out of the parking lot. Nice. These people have got to be the greediest, rudest, and unsympathetic I have EVER come across. We are a military family, and like most people, have fallen on some hard times. Our car isn't the newest but it certainly isn't an eyesore, so having to park it in front of their "lovely" building would not have hurt their business in the least. Obviously, their business is doing just fine because like I said earlier, she drove off in a brand new Envoy, so I guess she could afford to be rude, downright mean, and scare off potential customers. (We were looking into putting hard wood flooring into our home when we save up enough). I won't be patronizing this store and their horrible, bitchy owner...also, I didn't see her fat @$$ offer to give us a ride or help push the car out of the parking lot.

Carolina Carpet gave me a good deal on my rugs. I found just what I was looking for. The store is a big warehouse and easy to find on Raeford Road. The people working there were very helpful and not pushy.

I went to Carolina Carpets and found so many choices of colors and textures to choose from. The sales people were friendly and the store was cool and clean. The prices were very reasonable and the sale price that day offered a deep discount. They catered to my wishes when they found out my husband is in the military. I will go back when I redo another room in my home! Carolina Carpets takes care of military families.

PROS: great discounts
CONS:
