Avanti Salon & Spa

I have been going to Avanti for about three years and LOVE IT. I have gotten my hair cut and colored, legs waxed, and nails done- so I have tried many of the services.
My husband visits the men's side and we have our four and two year old attending now.
While the prices can be a bit high I have spent enough time and gotten bad haircuts and the cheaper chainsto want to spend that bit extra.
Also, my stylist is my therapist now :) She is awesome.

I went to Avanti thinking that they were a top notch salon and I wanted my hair colored, it was the WORSE service I had ever received, my hair looked terrible and all I could get from them was, "next time we will have to do this and that" THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME and not to mention that being totally dissatisfied they charged me tremendously...It is a very poor salon and they do not stand up to what they claim..I am very upset and will be advising the better business bureau about them..It was the day before Mother's day and it really runned my weekend...
I should have paid attention to the bad reviews I had seen about them on the web, but I believed these customers were just upset, I guess I was wrong, live and learn..
Not to mention the money I was charged I felt it was total robbery. And I feel that the check that I wrote should not even be cashed or an agreement shoud merge from this to paying 1/2 not full price for a terrible service.

First of all, it is impossible to find their website by doing a simple search - they should make it more user friendly...

The receptionist was a bit too aloof for this level of salon, but the other employees seemed friendly. My haircut I got was good, but not too trendy and I specifically asked for something modern - oh well. The lobby was decorated nicely, but there weren't enough waiting seats. Unfortunately, the decor in hair cutting room seemed trite and dated. It could do better in this area (although it always seems hopping) if it was a little bit funkier.

The price was great - $35 for a wash, cut and dry and I went on a Saturday and they had yummy bagels from Panera!

PROS: great price
CONS: good, but nothing too exciting

Avanti offers a full range of salon and day spa services, from simple haircuts to massages. The service is very good, and prices are reasonable for the level of service you receive. There is also an attached salon specifically for men. For cuts and styling, you can request a designer, or pay a little less for "emerging talent." I've gotten great cuts from both. Walk-in service is available, but you may have to wait quite a bit some days.
