Message from N.Y. Pizza- Wellington Park

Our goal was to serve a truly New York Pizza made with the same ingredients that my ancestors used back when the first NY pizza was made 100 years ago in New York City. Everything we make at The Original NY Pizza gets our undivided attention to detail and we make sure that all our food is consistent year after year. All our vegetables are fresh, not in a can and our dough is made daily on our premises. We pride ourselves in using the finest cheese and the best tomatoes for that fresh taste that our customers have come to expect. We offer a variety of specialties pizzas, Calzones, Strombolis, our own creation Pizza wraps, and our popular Sicilian Pizza. At The Original NY Pizza we love what we do, and it shows being the winners for BEST PIZZA 6 years running.

NY PIZZA TRYON RD. CARY

by greg t.

The food is good, but the delivery driver literally spun out in our driveway in reverse, then spun out again as he took off. I immediately called the "manager", who really didn't seem to care very much about this very rude and unprofessional behavior. So, my family will never order anything from these people again. I run a business too, and this is very poor business practice, I hope the owner gets control of his delivery personel. The driver was paid in full and had NO REASON whatsoever to act in this manner. I have read a few other posts and see that I am not the first to experience this behavior either. Good luck keeping your customers. There are way too many other professionally run outfits to choose from, than to deal with you people ever again.

New York style

by Nancy K. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,598

This place has genuine New York Style pizza - kind of gooey in the center, flavorful. They are located in the Wellington Park area on Tryon Road. The quality is pretty consistent. Would recommend as long as you want this style of pizza. The dining area doesn't really have any atmosphere, so take out and enjoy your pizza at home.

Good pizza but not NY style

by lette329

This is not NY style. You would think that a place calling themselves from NY would know what New Yorkers want. New York would never serve the way this place does, who eats meatballs and eggplant in a wrap? Don't really think they are from NY.

Pros: Pizza

Cons: No heros/subs

Rude Delivery Drivers and Lying Managers

by Quiggs

We ordered a lot of pizza from this establishment in the past, but NO MORE. A few weeks ago, our pizza was delivered with a crushed box...cold, hardened cheese stuck to the lid and a delivery driver that rudely told us it wasnt his problem and he was busy. My wife called back immediately and "the manager" told us that we would be credited a free pizza the next time we ordered and the driver would be talked with upon return to the restaurant. Tonight we called to get our free pizza and were told by "the manager" that he was the ONLY manager and he had never talked to us, never delivered a pizza in the condition we stated, and called my wife a liar. I have 3 photos of the pizza and the crushed box with the NY Pizza logo and would post if possible. Anyway, please be cautious that when ordering delivery from NY Pizza as you may encounter very rude delivery drivers, managers that lie to customers, and a company that doen't value their customers. We will never order pizza from them again and plan to tell all our neighbors and friends about the poor treatment from such a reputable triangle restaurant. Shame on NY Pizza.

Pros: Pizza is not bad

Cons: Delivery drivers, and mangers that lie to customers

Best NY Pizza

by mistervegas

It's great NY Pizza. I have eaten at so-called NY Pizza places, but they either don't get the sauce right or the crust is not the thin NY style.

Pros: Great Pizza and service

Cons: Parking

It should be called Authentic NY Pizza

by berk4422

I grew up in NY and Worked 2 years during HS in a pizza place on Staten Island. I live in Garner and drive to Cary once a week for NY Pizza. I have lived in many states, and have had pizza around the world, but this is simply the best pizza. They got the NY crust exactly right. The sauce is spiced perfectly. Try a large pie with sausage and calzone. They do it just right!

Pros: Great food

Cons: Parking

Tried 'em all!!!

by wakecounty4life

I've been coming to the Harrison store for years on my lunch break from SAS but I live over in Lochmere. Recently I started getting pizza from the store in Wellington Plaza and let me tell you it is Phenomenal. Everyone was quick to learn my name and remember my order... it's like the Cheers but Pizza (but there's a great bar next door too). Anyways that Mike kid that's always working makes a hell of a pie, I wish I could give it 10 stars.

Pros: Quick, Tasty, Friendly, and consistent.

Cons: Gawdy decorations and a busy parking lot.
