Huntersville Ford is where my family buys all our vehicles
by Stacy S.
I have to say that I have personally bought 4 vehicles and my family members have purchased at least 3 vehicles from Huntersville Ford in the last few years and have had nothing but a great experience with the entire staff. After reading some of the rants below I had to give my 2 cents. When I stop in the dealership everyone is friendly and easy to talk to and when I buy vehicles everything is explained upfront on a detailed worksheet. What else could you ask for. I guess some people will never be happy about anything however I always have been happy with Huntersville Ford.

Bait and Switch -- Liars!!!!
by C R.
Classic bait and switch. Agreed to price and financing, yet when arrived on site they attempted to negotiate. Pulled out the old four box grid, AFTER we had finished with the price. Chris (finance mgr) claimed he owned the place and was extremely rude. At one point he told the sales guy, "I'm done with these people!". I've never been talked down to like that in my life. Will never consider doing business with them. Went to a different dealership and received a much better deal! I highly recommend shopping around before even considering this dealership.

Huntersville Ford is excellent all around!!!!!
I have been doing business with Huntersville Ford for well over 10 years now and have never had a problem with sales or service. Their sales staff is probably the best educated in the state and the service department regularly impresses me. I did read the previous comment that spoke about "the grids" and am very suprised that unhappy shopper did not like them. "the grids" actually make it about as painless as possible when buying a car. there are four big boxes that simply show the price of the car, the amount Huntersville Ford will give you for you trade, the down payment and your monthly payment. Pretty simple I thought. what else could you ask for as far as disclosure goes??? I have been to dealers that won't tell you a payment until you agree to the price on the car, then you get back to the finance office and they show you a million different things and try to get you to lease. The other thing that I love about Huntersville Ford they show you payments with all pertinent extras--Warranty (which I always buy), GAP insurance (which is a great idea unless you put down 40%) and anti-theft protection (which in Charlotte NC you need). Too many people use these sites to bash and not praise. I would reccommend them to anyone.

GREEDY, GREEDY, GREEDY, LIARS... No suprise, I know.
Greedy, greedy, greedy! Huntersville Ford NC in my opinion is the worst dealership in all my experiences. The system of psychological games played between the salesperson and the financial representatives on their victims with those 4 box grids!! It is down right mentally abusive. Keep you there, get you to initial one grid box to agree on something, salesperson visits the finance person, comes back with a new number. The problem though was, they don't know when to quit because all car salesman do it. Come on its just $10-20 more. (Yeah, times how many months?) Funny. Phone calls for 3 days after I left the first time, set a price over phone, come in again and here comes that GRID again. Incredulous, they wanted to start over again!!!! Never, never, never again will I purchase a car from HUNTERSVILLE FORD or any car FORD period for that matter. Greedy group of people with over-the-top manipulative, outright lying techniques to waste your time. Did I mention the Ford Edge 2009 that I test drove shut off in mid test drive, while in motion, steering wheel locked up and dash lights came on. How funny is that? I was told that the gas cap was loose. I didn't know any better... I do now. It wasn't the car that I actually walked away from but the mysterious ever changing number fudging they were doing to me in the 4-block GRID. Regardless of the reason, they did me a favor, by pushing too much, I snapped out of it. So, I am not mad at them, they saved me from a potential lemon and from going into a 72-month deal that I know never to do.

DON'T BUY HERE!!!!!!!!
by Jean W.
Bought a used car, paid for full inspection. The dealership half way did the inspection and said it was fine. Less than 24 hours later, the "check engine' light came on. They said to wait for the warranty to kick in, 3 days?? The warranty didn't even cover this. The brakes started making a grinding noise after a couple of weeks. Come to find out, 15 days prior to ford doing the inspection, the car had failed a NC safety and emissions test done by another owner, specifically the brakes and emissions, e.g half done inspection by the dealership. If they would have taken the 15 minutes to check the emission, they would have known the catalyst was bad and we wouldn't have purchased the car. They noted a fluid dripping from the rear brakes, but said to wait for the warranty to kick in on that also. The caliper was bad and destroyed the pad and rotor. They said they would take care of the caliper but not the rotor and pad. How much sense does that make? Don't buy here. You can't trust them to do what they are supposed to do.

I didn't buy my Expedition from the dealership but they always serviced my SUV. I really liked all of the service guys and they were more than happy to help you. They even gave me a loaner vehicle which they were not obligated to do at all and they even installed my carseat! Definitely a great experience!

We bought our 2008 Ford Explorer there. We were able to get a great deal, and trade in our stinky old Escort for a great price. The staff was knowlegable, helpful and not too pushy!

Ford rents cars so I tried them for a recent car rental need. I received a 2008 Explorer loaded with leather, Microsoft Sync, CD-6, and just about everything else you can imagine. This was a serious upgrade from the typical rental experience. The staff was very nice, no long wait, great automobile and I will absolutely use them again.
