I recently became a new patient and so far my experience with Mahec has been terrible. My first visit went fine just the usual filling out of paperwork and some waiting (though longer than the wait at most doctors offices). I had been sent

I totally disagree with the last comment!!! I is not the front desk fault that a patient has to wait for their ultra sound. The ultra sound is very busy and the only high risk one around. We had to drive 2 hours many times to Regional OB/GYN for appointments . We understand that things can happen, maybe something is wrong with someon'es baby or the Dr. needs to take more time with a certain patient because we were one of those patients. They did have to spend extra time with us and it did put them behind when 2 Doc's had to come in and talk to us. We have been going to that office for 4 years and two babies and the same front desk staff has been there. Always very courtious and helpful with great attitudes! Always very professional. Yes they laugh would you rather have someone wait on you that has a really bad attitude and doesn't care about their job??? Those girls and that entire office care about the patients and enjoy their jobs! We are really glad they are there for us!!! Thank you Regional OB/GYN Specialist!!!!!

I have not had the same experience as the first reviewer. I have been a patient for 4 years and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. All staff I have intereacted with have acted in a professional manner and all my concerns have been appropriately addressed in a timely manner.

Pros: Awesome medical staff

Cons: can't think of any

Ann Brown delivered my baby at Mission Hospital. I think she was caring and patient as a midwife. I am not too sure I would go back to MAHEC midwives for my next baby though. While I like Ann, I felt their practice was way to busy and waited up to an hour for most appointments.

This office has a huge problem respecting people's time.
Once you get into see a practitioner the treatment is good.
Equipment seems to be up to date. We have had sonography twice on very advanced equipment.
However, the front office is awful. The front office will joke around with each other, gossip and cackle away but when you go to the desk they act like you are a number. Sign in and wait. We waited an hour and a half our first time and half hour the second. I suggest you DO NOT arrive early it is a waste of your time. The staff is adversarial and will point to policy, "letters", or explain they can't find out the answer to your questions. Look at their policy that you are not to even ask about their schedule until you have been waiting 30 minutes past your appointment. That is a written policy because it is a consistent problem.
Buyer beware.
