Dr. Gardner treated our older dog that had age-related movement and walking issues with laser therapy and it has it has given him a new life! He is now able to get up from lying down much quicker and moves around the house again like he did when he was much younger. I'd suggest asking about laser therapy if you have an aging dog that is having difficulty moving. It has been a Great therapy for our dog!

Our family takes our cats and our ferret to Dr. Gardner at Small Animal Medicine & Surgery. Our cats are older and Dr. Gardner really puts forth that extra effort to make sure they stay in good health and we know the signs to look for in the event they begin to show symptoms of declining health.

We take our ferret to her also. We have been very impressed with her knowledge of ferrets and she has been a great resource for our ferret questions. So glad we have her as our Vet!!!!

Small Animal Medicine & Surgery is a great place! I have been taking my pets their since 1999 and always receive get care from Dr. Gardner and her other staff members. I started bringing my pets to her after having a bad experience with another local veterinary clinic in Salisbury. They took the shortcut route and didn't do all of the tests they should have done and I almost lost one of my dogs. When I asked why they did this, their response was they were trying to save me money. OMG!!! I wasn't there to save money. I was there to get good quality veterinary care for my dog that was sick and I understand that's not always cheap. But like the old saying, "you get what you pay for" goes, I want the best care available for my pets when they are sick and I wanted their preventive checks to be as complete as possible.

The care my pets receive at Small Animal Medicine & Surgery now is EXCELLENT!!!

They are wonderful with rabbits and have always been very reasonable in cost. I have had a rappit put to sleep there and they were so kind and caring about it (and charged a third of the rest of the vets in town!)

I took a puppy there after getting her out of the emer vets They were good at first. She was having seizures and wanted to do blood test and other test to her her that was ok. Then when i went to get her meds filled they wanted more money to do more bloodwork plus and office visit. The cost was going to be over 100.00 again to this vet.Befoooooore taking my pet back to get her meds i asked if she needed to see the vet and they said no. When I got there they wanted mr to get all this work done before they would give her her medsI didn't have the money with me at the time but could have gone to the bank to get it. I called another vet to check out prices for the work and office visit The other vet cost half of what Small animal cost and i didn't have to pay an office visit cost just to have the blood work done. A great savings of over 70.00 at the other vet's If you want to pay more for the same work other vets do and cost less than by all means go here but I will never take another animal there again.
