We had such a pleasurable experience this week with Haverty's in Pinevillel. My parents have always purchased from them and my husband and I are buying a new home, so we thought we would give it a try. They helped us with my floor plans

Went in for a table and chairs and found one of the ones I was looking for. Was told they could knock off $100 and delivery was $35.99. I decided to give it a couple days and went back to pick it up. Told they could not do the $100 anymore since it was a Labor Day sale (Sept. 15 and 18 was when this event happened, Labor Day was 2 weeks prior). Was told I could have the delivery for half price, $17.99, and told them I would take it. I got the bill with delivery charge of $44.99. I asked the sales rep about the different charge, she said sorry for the misunderstanding, our delivery charge is regular price $90. Then she asked if I was still interested in a bed. Really?? You think i am going to buy a bed from you now? Uh, not from you!!

We just moved into the area right by Carowinds a few months back. The place was just built so we thought we could do some new furniture shopping. We went everywhere from rooms to go, LaZyboi, etc. and finally ended up in Havertys. After many trips we decided to place an order on 2 sofas that we thought it was decent enough. We placed our order around May of 2010, and was told that it will take approx. up to 4 - 5 weeks to get it done. After 5 weeks were over, we HAD to call in to get an update on our sofas. We were then told this company doesn't make it anymore so they had to get another to make it. In the next 2-3 months we called numerous times to get an update on our sofas. We were told there were still in the process of making it.

By the mid August, we receive noticed of our order ready to pick up. We came by and checked it out, one sofa was done, while the other one was still incomplete. There were no fillings in the back of one sofa so we had to leave it there and had them do repairs. The first saturday of September, we came in again and checked the sofa, the INCOMPLETE sofa was still in complete. They barely did any work on it. SO we took one and had them sent the 2nd one back to the warehouse to get it fix again. We were told they'll will have it done by 2-3 weeks. and TODAY is October 12, 2010. I just called in for the 3rd time this month, and they were still unable to give us any update on the 2nd SOFA.

This is the worst customer service and quality of work I have ever seen in a furniture store. We will probably stay away from Havertys from now on. It is very disappointing to have a work of 4 -5 weeks turn into half a year.

I Purchased the ""Portland Sectional Sofa"" 3 months ago. Furniture looked sloppy upon arrival. The skirting was not sewn on straight, hanging too high in spots, too low in others causing it to drag on the carpet. I paid over 3200.00 for the set. The fabric retains a lot of hair and lint which weaves into the fabric and is difficult to maintain. the furniture technician came out to look at the sofa, and said that nothing could be done about the skirt. He said if wanted to go through the trouble of replacing the legs myself (so the skirt wouldn't drag) the store manager would reimburse the cost. They did try to bring in another sofa to the store, but it was constructed even worse. So I kept the original sofa, and requested the $45.00 I paid for the legs...its been 2 months, several phone calls and emails and yet I still wait for my money. BUY YOUR FURNITURE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The furniture was beautiful, and even though the prices weren't cheap, the quality was outstanding, which made it quite a value. Our salesperson was very helpful, and our floor plans were used so that everything would fit and look really great. There was a very good selection on the showroom floor. We were able to get the furniture so quickly, we were shocked how fast our home filled up. The delivery men were very hard working. Because we bought so much furniture, they had to deliver on 2 separate visits, and for only one fee of $95. This experience was very positive and we recommend Havertys to anyone who needs furniture!

My husband I went to Haverty's when we bought our new house because we liked the style of the furniture and the fact that they offered financing. The sales team were very nice to us UNTIL our order was placed. We were lied to about the availability of products that we ordered. We were charged for services and products that we did not ask for or want. When we brought those things to the attention of the store manager we were told that we were the ones causing the problems. I have never in all my life been treated the way I was by this store. I will NEVER shop there again, it's been three months... we still do not have our furniture and no one seems to be able to tell us when it will arrive. I would rather pay twice as much somewhere else and be treated like a human! If you want any kind of customer service or expect to be told the truth when placing orders DO NOT SHOP HERE!

Are you looking for quality furniture? Look no further. The furniture in this store leans towards the traditional style but over the last few years they have added more styles. The prices are not cheap but you get what you pay for. The staff is very classy and helpful. They are never pushy. I would not shop anywhere else.
