I went to Amanda for a variety of techniques inclusive of Brazilian Strand by strand and infusion both, which cost over a thousand dollars per setting. Amanda is extremely straight forth but also a professional. I do agree with the comments that sometimes you may have to wait for 30 minutes but are only given a 15 minute window. This has happened to me and there is a fee associated with it. When I got there 20 minutes late I was required to reschedule which she didn??t have any additional appointments available for several weeks.
Some of these comments state she does not explain how to comb your hair to prevent tangles and damage is TOTALLY untrue. Amanda gives specific instructions on how to care for your hair. She even gave me a brush, and gloss to use for my hair care. I didn??t have a problem with the maintenance, which was around $200.00 every four weeks, the reason I left was because, I found someone who was able to meet my hair care needs more. But as in any other industry, time is money and it??s not unreasonable for her to require payment for her time. Amanda will respond to you to you the way, you present yourself. I have heard her on the phone disagree with a client but she has always been respectful of me. It is true you may not get a call immediately by Amanda but when she did return my calls, she was informative helped solve my problem. She even took the time and asked me to email pictures of my hair to help answer my question. I think overall she was very professional, gives clear directions and is very organized. I think Amanda??s clientele caters to more professional, older, upper class people who want privacy and consistency. To go to Amanda, you must be able to afford her maintenance and upkeep. Amanda is about business, bottom line.

Visit this salon Amanda's work is so GOOD... She is the only Hair Weaver that is concerned about the complete service.
We did a consultation and I got my hair done and I love It.. The hair texture looks so real.. the custom color is nice ....The Cut loving it :) OMG... Love It. I got the 4 month weave...

I got the Raw Hair..And I researched it and that her she has cost by the oz.(72.00 per oz.) I used 7ozs. OMG.
I don't have any braids in, not sure how she did that. And it only took 3 hrs...
I am from ChiTown......
See you in 2 months for maintenance .

Amanda is my stylist and she is the TRUTH! I have tried other salons and other stylist but I always leave unhappy and busted. At Amanda??s (She??s International Salon)I feel like a celebrity when I leave. She truly brings Hollywood to Charlotte. Her sewn in weave look, feel and flow so naturally. She also know how to cut and styles weaves. I wear mine long and layered but I've seen some of her bob styles and pixie cut weaves and all I can say is WOW! My natural hair has grown so much since she has been doing my hair. She is so sweet and very professional. I can tell that she loves what she does and takes pride in her work. No more looking around for me, she is a top of the line hairstylist.

Wow! I too paid over $500 to get a weave that caused me to have sores in my head. The rubber band method that she uses is no different of a look or feeling of lumps and what nots that cornrowing the hair provides. So there really is no need to pay all that extra money for a simple straight up weave that just about any beautician can perform. I too am not a tender-headed person and had to remove the weave within 24 hours because of the sores that were forming in my head and the pain was unbearable. For the record there is a difference between haters and people who just keep it real. I am a christian lady who is keeping it real and I can concur with what the other reviewers are stating. Her rubber band twisting method to lay your hair down like cornrowing does and then sewing it in the layers that provides a cornrow like effect is very much OVERRATED just like the cost. Trust me ladies save your money!!!!!!!! I got jilted!!!!!!!!

This is the best salon ever! Amanda, is just very professional and some people can not handle that. She is about business. You never hear any gossiping going on in the salon. So for all of you that have complained about her, you need to check yourself because I am sure there is more to the story than what you'll are telling. So get a life and stop hating!

These people take your money and dont look back. You are responsible to put a deposit down when you make your appointment, but even if you cancel your appointment 3 mths in advance, they will not refund your money. Amanda charges exorbitant rates, so she is not hurting for any money, so I just think it is shameful the way they treat customers and the way they handle business. Husband and wife should be ashamed.

Oh My Gosh!! I absolutly LOVE my front lace weave. I went to Amanda's salon just this past Thursday on March 20th, so I have only had mine in for 2 days. Hey, I'm just gonna keep it real wit yall, yes... it is very tight, and I had to take a Motrin to calm the pain, but we as women go through a lot of things (including a little pain) to look beautiful. I feel like I just got my hair braided or corn rolled, and we ALL know what that feels like, but it's well worth it, and Amanda said that this was to be expected for about 3-4 days and believe me, if you are tender headed, I feel sorry for you, cuz I'm not tender headed and my head hurts, but it's all good. I don't know where all of these bad reviews are coming from and I guess I won't know about my hair being damaged and falling out until I take mine out, but I love the way me hair looks now. Amanda did an OUTSTANDING job! My husband even went with me to get it done because we live in Fayetteville and had to drive to Charlotte, but he loves it too. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the salon, and she kept GOOD movies playing to pass the time while you waited in the waiting area, and to enjoy while you were getting your hair done. Amanda listened to all of my concerns, and addressed them very professionally. She gave me a kit to use to take care of my hair until I go back for my touch-up, which will be an extra $100.00. I think that's kind of steep, but I will pay it with flying color because I want to look good. I hope that when I finally do take this hair out and see my real hair that my hair won't fall out in chunks like some of these other women, but I won't know that until the end of June so it's no use in me worrying about that right now. IF my real hair does start falling out in chunks, you will see another review on here from me to back up what all the other girls are saying, but as of now I can't complain and I love my hair, plus my real hair was badly damanged anyway from heat and glued in tracks anyway. Amanda worked wonders on my head. Thanks Amanda. I will see you in 6 weeks girl

Amanda does an amazing job and gets it right every time. she has a GOD GIVEN TALENT.I have been following her for a log time. I am a hairstylist myself and i know when it is done right.

She is one of the TOP STYLIST. She also have one of the largest CLIENT BASE IN THE STATE.

When I am there all I see is very happy clients and I am one of them.
If she was not good why is she so booked .It takes a month to get in on her books.

I think people hate on her because she is so good and UNTOUCHABLE.
she do what other sylist don't know how to do.

GOD GAVE HER THIS TALENT AND SHE IS DOING A GOOD JOB WITH IT.

I went here also and my hair started to bleed. She twist it so tight I am surprised they are not out of business. I paid $600 to get my hair fixed by Ms. Amanda which turned out to be a waist of time and money. This is actually horrible on your hair based on the way she doing it. My hair came out in hand fulls when I took that crap out of my hair.

My sister and I went to this salon after researching salons here in the Charlotte area.
I am so shocked to see that other's have had the same experience which we did.
I went to great lengths to explain that both my sister and I have very sensitive scalps. This was never taken into consideration. And after paying over $300.00 I was forced to take my weave out within 48 hours. My scalp was bleeding and I lost a good deal of hair in the back of my head. I was so disappointed. When I called to share my experience her husband was quite rude and spoke to me as though it had all been my fault. My sister was also forced to take out her weave because of how painfully tight it was. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN.

I agree with Chanel. I got my hair done at She's International THREE times so I have plenty of experience with the salon. I expressed that I wanted to grow out natural, healthy hair and needed the help of a professional who cared about my hair. The consultation went well and I thought my search for the right salon was over. I was given shampoo and conditioner to use for about three weeks so my hair could be prepared for the first service. I received a two month weave and it was so tight that I had bald spots throughout my hair; the elastic bands that she uses made gashes in my scalp the weave was so tight. I went back a second time because the hair she used was better than any other weave I'd experience but the same thing happened when I went back (hair loss). The third time I went I asked that she moisturize my hair before she put the weave in so my hair wouldn't break so easily. She said that moisturizing my hair before she sewed in the wefts would slow her down. I asked her to make sure to moisturize it after she sewed in the wefts but by the time I got out of the dryer she already had the next customer in her chair and was not trying to deal with me anymore. I also asked for my weave to be full (I like big hair). The remi hair that I usually received was mixed with yaki hair and it TANGLED so badly within the first week!! I called and left messages about the problem I was having with my hair and I never received an answer. After two week of having a tangles mess on my head that was shedding badly, I went to the salon and waited until Amanda had time to see me. I was told that the yaki hair was tangling/shedding because it was dry but she was not willing to show me how to care for it (she just told me to put some oil which I had already tried and it made the hair look stringy). I was then told that I had to pay another $100 to have the yaki hair replaced with remi hair. I have very disappointed with the way I was treated after showing myself to be a loyal customer who was willing to spend money (even though I was on a college budget). To make things worse, Amanda advertises privacy for her clients while they receive their service but she made me sit in the waiting area when my hair wasn't finished so she could finish up with another customer (who she allowed to wait in one of the private back rooms while she started working on my hair). I even asked her if I could sit in one of the private room and I was told that I couldn't because anther customer had gone through her belongs and stole from her. That was offensive because I never stole from her and she allowed another customer to sit in privacy but not me. I spent well over $1000 with her and was still treated poorly. How much do I have to pay to be a valued customer?!

I went to she's international and this was my third visit. I got there at 11:19 in which my appointment was at 11am. Ms.Amanda yelled at me and said that I was past the normal time limit she allows which is 15 minutes. She also said she couldn't see me after I drove 3 hours to get there and took a day off of work. She also said that being that I was late she gets to keep my $50 deposit which is required whenever you are scheduling your next appointment. I offered to stay late so that she could finish and she stated am I suppose to stay here all night doing hair. I never go to this salon ever again. Basically she feels that her time is more important then yours even though I had to sit and wait for 30 minutes each time that I went to get my hair fixed. Even though you pay her 275 for a two month weave you still have to pay $50 for her to cut it and this does not include style. For her to style it is another $50.Not mention my first appoint cost me $600 for my first appointment. If you notice their is only one or two post on here. When you go to see Ms.Amanda Jackson the first visit she seems to be nice but once she has your money thats it. I normally try to give black salons the benefit of the doubt. But this one I am done with. If you go here be prepared to spend lots of money for lace fronts that will begin to come a loose on hair within two weeks and it comes a loose after 1 week when you go back for a touch up if you have a three month weave. For example I had the three month weave and when I went back for the touch up after a week of the touch the lace front was loose. I tried to call Amanda and emailed her to get some glue to fix the lace front being that she had just fixed my hair. I was willing to buy the glue. Thanksgiving was the following week. It took her 7 - 8 days to respond to me after leaving messages and voicemail. Even then she said she couldn't send it to me I had to sign a waiver hence my lace front was hanging on by a thread.

Before I tell you about what my hair looks like let me tell you about the salon. It was clean/ nice/ relaxing/ It felt like home. The prices was the most i ever payed for my hair before BUT it was worth it. She gives you every thing you need to look your best.

I have been to so many different salons and I can say I had my hair done by the BEST. My weave looks so natural it is smooth, no lumps/ no glues/ no braids and she supplied me with 100 % Remy Hair , I can wear ponytails and up do if i want. The cut was one of the best she also gave me body curls using a flat iron. I get a 4 month hair weave / 100% remy hair / hair cut / hair style / a kit with products to take care of my hair / and a TREATMENT before my hair was done. THANK YOU AMANDA I WILL BE BACK .

My Visit was Good , when you come in for a consultation they tell you up front about the salon concepts. I was giving forms to fill out about the history of my hair , we talked about my wants and needs. I was also told about how it was so important about being on time, do to it only being her there to service her clients. She give you a 15 min. grace for ex. If your appt is at 9am you have until 9:15 am to get there, I have to say just be on time. I will be in for my next appt. She do Great work. And I come in from Atl. Ga
