We had a very good experience here and I have been here multiple times throughout the past 4-5 years.

Our last visit the waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive. I love the Lubrano's Stromboli, the Chicken Bella Donna is very good as well. My mother loves their eggplant parmigiana!

The restrooms are clean and on the left side of the restaurant. This is a small restaurant and the space that they have has been utilized.

I will go back again!

What a huge let down this restaurant was. From the doughy free appetizer to the pasta fagioli to the pizza, we were disappointed. The soup was watery, bland and colorless. We returned it and the waitress came back to the table saying the kitchen wanted to know why, but no apology was offered and it made us feel awkward. (Speaking of awkward, the bathrooms are in the center of the restaurant. That alone was a turn off.)\r
Our pizza was the Special. Everything on it from the canned mushrooms to the pepperoni to the sausage was the same color-gray-and taste-nondescript. and boring. There are much better places to spend your hard earned money, folks.

I had no clue that there could be a gem like this in morrisville! I took my mom there last night for mother's day and the waitress took such good care of us we felt like we were family! The kids menu was great, plus my little one ate for $2.99 because it was Sunday! My mom even made special requests and every single one was taken care of! And to make our mothers day even better the food was awesome! I had the vodka sauce with shrimp, my mom had clam sauce, my husband had a pizza with a delicious herb taste to it and tomato on top ( i don't remember the name but it's on the menu) and my son had his favorite meatballs! we will definately be going back a lot! great place all around!

I came here for the first time last week with my family and I was very impressed. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. I had the Veal Saltimboca which was really authentic and the veal was tender and fresh. The rest of my family had Pizza which was excellent. The entire meal was a great value for our family of 4. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the owner stopped by many of the tables to make sure we were all enjoying our meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good a Italian meal.

We are new to the area from up north. It's nice to find a neighborhood restaurant to get the kind of italian food we're used to. We had several different pasta dishes that were wonderful. Of course the garlic knots are very good. My kids liked the gelato. There were several different flavors to choose from, very good.

We're from Boston and we know good italian! Now we only had pizza and a stromboli but both were fantastic. I miss northerner pizza & now have found it. Fresh ingredients - no canned stuff here. I look forward to returning & trying some entrees.

Went there tonite with my boyfriend,. we have both worked in the food service industry for a combined total of about 18 years. Our server was very very polite, I think her name was Claire. Our food however was made with cheap ingredients and poorly created.

We started out with the Calamari which has already gotten a pretty terrible review here on citysearch. We got the calamari and it was honestly the worst calamari I have ever tasted... chewy to the point of being inedible. Our server didn't even ask how it was, I think because she prolly had an idea what we would have said..
I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and my boyfriend ordered the spinach ravioli with a vodka sauce. These meals came with salads which were RIDICULOUS. The salad included iceberg lettuce, huge radishes, tomato, cucumber, and GREEN OLIVES. Pretty awkward salad.... awkward being the only word I can use to describe the awe in which this salad was prepared.
The spinach ravioli was OBVIOUSLY cheap and frozen but the vodka sauce was pretty good and probably made to order. The eggplant Parmesan was GREASY and pretty gross.... the red sauce was pretty good though.
All in all this place should probably be avoided.... not very good or worth the money.............

Really great Italian food here. My husband's favorite is the stromboli. Good prices for what you get. Good environment to grab a bite to eat. Quaint locale.

Come Guys...it is so OBVIOUS! Shamus12321, GeekLady and buchell profiles were all created by the owners in a FUTILE attempt to bolster their reputation through FAKE REVIEWS. If you click on their profile names, you will see that the only review in the history is for this joint. And the sad part is... the food used to be really good, and now, really, really bad stuff going on here!

Lubrano's is a little Italian gem that we were lucky to find! The veal parmigiana is delicious but the tiramisu is to die for! I am picky about my tiramisu so I was happy to find a place that has such a great atmosphere and such delicious tiramisu!

I love this restaurante. I grew up in a suburb of New York City and I am accustomed to great italian eats. I can tell you right now that Lubrano's is the best italian food in the triangle. I have even served tables there for a period of time and I am close friends with the owner. Like any restaurantes, Lubrano's can sometime have a bad day. But the good outweighs the bad here. I have been eating there for years; since the place opened. One thing that is very special about this place is that they will cook your food exactly how you want it. You can basically create your own pasta dish and add any sort of meat or vegetables to it with any time of sauce. The Pizza is truely delicious with thin and crispy new your style crust. And the stromboli's.... fuhget about it. If you have had a bad experience at this restaurante, just give it another chance. These family owned restaurantes are a rare breed these days and we need to keep them up and running. And another thing, make friends with the employees. They are all really nice people and getting to know they will enhace the quality of your experience there. \r
\r
Favorite Entrees: Shrimp Fra Diavola, Aglio Olio (w/ chicken and broccoli), Shrimp Scampi (w/ Spinach and Broccoli), Arrabiata, Veal Saltimbocca, and last but not least Shrimp Parmigiana.\r
\r
The Pizza is incredible but the strombolis are DANGEROUSLY GOOD.

I used to be a regular at Lubranos because I work nearby. However on my two recent visits I have been really disappointed. During my first visit, my soup was cold and stale and there was a black curly hair in it. The management waved me off when I tried to diplomatically explain (there was a crowd in there). On my second visit (yes, for some reason I decided to go back when a coworker wanted to go there), my pasta was undercooked (think crunchy), the soda was watery, there were 2 errors on my bill, and the place was filthy - the floor, the table was sticky, and there was chewing gum stuck to the wall. It's a shame when a neighborhood place goes downhill like this. I will not be returning.

Pros: Close to office parks

Cons: Bad food, bad service, hygeine

The breads were freshly baked, the Caesar's salad was delicious, and the lasagna was as good as... well... my own homemade. Our waiter was very pleasant and checked on us and refilled the tea drinkers glasses often. They also had a nice wine list and dessert selections.

Excellent!!! Italian food. Authentic taste and healthy portions. Staff and owner are very friendly and personable. Prices are cheaper than most italian restuarants. A must try. You'll be hooked like I am. A loyal customer for the last 6 years. Food is consistentely outstanding authentic. No chain food here!

Low carb, low salt, does not matter, they will cook to order and the food is delicious. Everything made from scratch. Reasonable priced house wines. A great mom and po place!

It's the best!!!! All of them are good. My favorite is the meat. The way the crust blends with the meat coupled with the generous portions of cheese truly makes this a work of art. The boys of Accu-Tech have gained a few Lbs because of it!

Man, i thought we had a good thing going here! As my previous review stated, the first four visits were great, (in so far as the food was concerned). But let me tell you, the last two visits were NOT GOOD! On our fifth visit, we ordered Calamari...it was so overcooked! We sent it back, the second batch was the same! Then they told us that they ran out. Then they brought out two of the dinners, my wife's and my son's. It was fifteen minutes later before mine and my daughter's meal came out....and everything was overcooked. Well, we thought it was just a bad night for them (and they did offer free desert). So, we went back one more time....big mistake (the place being 80% empty should have been an indicator). If someone can recommend a good Italian cafe with moderate pricing, please let us know!

In an unassuming strip shopping center in Morrisville is this very worthwhile mom and pop Italian restaurant. The interior is comfortable and inviting; service is excellent. Expect to wait on weekends and at peak lunch times, but the wait is worth it. The garlic knots sold at dinner are very nice, and the pasta dishes in general are recommended. Try the specials; I've never had a bad one. Very reasonably priced.

Easily the best Italian food in the area, and at great prices. Our family, four adults and two children, sampled everything from shrimp pizza to lobster ravioli, salmon and shrimp pasta, fettuccine and spinach ravioli to cannolis and chocolate cake. We all raved and passed around each dish. The kids' menu was excellent; my grandson ate more at that meal than he has ever eaten at table. The seafood was fresh, the pasta perfectly al dente, the cream sauce for the ravioli was smooth, rich and a perfect complement. Best cannolis we've ever had. Our server was friendly, funny, completely knowledgeable and attentive to our every need. We are new to the area, but already have found our favorite restaurant...it's Lubrano's.

If you're looking for some great Italian food, I highly recommend you do not dine at Lubrano's. My spouse and I went there with a couple of our friends thinking that the food would be great since it's owned by Italians. Guess what? It's not. It's a shame because it looks cute inside. The service is poor too. When we visited, it wasn't even that busy and the service was pretty bad. It takes a lot for me to write on one of these boards and if I take the time to complain, then it's pretty bad. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in RTP...just drive by Lubrano's and go some place else!

We just ordered a large cheese pie from Lubrano's, we are on a quest to find the best tasting NY style pizza in North Carolina. Pizza was good, but not great and not like any pizza in NY. It was better then 'NY Pizza' just up Weston parkway. The pizza was extremely thin and flat. If you put a level to it you would have a level line. Where is the thick crust around the edge? The cheese and sauce were ok but it was missing something....either the oil or some herbs, and of course the crust. Another thing we ordered large but this was no ordinary large..seemed like a small. As part of dining in you receive complementary mini garlic knots, they were good as well but the sauce was not. Tasted like spaghetti Os canned sauce.\r
Overall nice place for a quick bite to eat. Fast, friendly service. Free refills is a plus.

This is a great place! Not only is the chicken parmesan good, they also have shrimp parmesan which is heavenly. My husband loves the pasta fagioli. Any soup they make has that wonderful ""from scratch"" taste. We took two of my husband's relatives from Chicago there for lunch, on the way back from the beach and even they raved about it. And unlike one other reviewer, we have NEVER had to wait, not even on Father's Day! The ambience is just fine, but if you spot a large noisy group as you walk in, try and sit as far away as possible because it's a small enough room that sound really carries.

For a newcomer to the area, this was an unsuspected surprise. What we thought would be a typical mom-and-pop italian restaurant, turned out to be some of the best italian we have had in the triangle. The Fried Zucchini appetizer was fresh cut and battered. My son's ""kid's menu"" Stromboli was enough for an adult, and made to order. The entrees came with Garlic Knots and fresh prepared salads, with all of the extras. Garlic Bread was served with the ever-so-large entrees as well. You will go home stuffed and with boxed leftovers for sure. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting--enough just can't be said about this enchanting restaurant!

Since Gino's closed down Lubrano's has become our favorite Italian restaurant in Morrisville. The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the location is very convenient.

What's more it's owned/staffed by real Italians, so the food is closer to being authentic Italian, at least as compared to Babymoon or (gasp) the Olive Garden.

One downside is that since it has grown in popularity it is now next to impossible to avoid waiting at peak times. The ambiance is only so-so (Gino's was better), but as mom & pop places go it's not too bad.
