My horse Artex decided to jump the fence and cut an artery in his leg. We tried to call several area vets and the only person to respond was Dr. Carlson from Missoure Valley. He explained to my brother what to do while in route. He was calm, professional, and understanding as my kids and I were very overwhelmed and crying. He came right to the spot of where it happened, sedated, and stitched up our boy! He explained what he was doing. Best of all Artex will be just fine! I was very impressed with Missourie Valley Staff when I called in the next morning to pay the bill as well and had more questions for the Dr. They were helpful, kind, and sympathetic to our little trauma. Thanks Dr. Carlson and Missouri Valley for answering our call and saving our horse!!

Dr Carlsen is an awesome Dr..BUT WOW~~!!!! The front desk ladies are VERY unprofessional and RUDE~!!! I hope some day Dr Carlsen goes on his own so he can be out of that place and I wont have to deal with the ladies up front anymore!!!!!!! Ruined my day totally when I was there the last time in October 2009. To the ladies at the front desk:::::Please take some customer service classes!

Missouri Valley has always been very clean and friendly. I would just like to point out that when a veterinary clinic cleans your dog's ears and puts ointment in them, they use their own supplies, not the supplies they are selling you. Having foil on your ointment when you get home does not mean that your dog's ears were not medicated, it means that the clinic was kind enough to use its own ointment, swallowing that cost, and sending you home with completely new and fresh supplies.

I stopped in just to see if my dog who was loaded in the car could get a vaccine that was due. I take him in and the front desk clerk is eating popcorn, drinking pop and picking her teeth as she talks to me. I get in to the exam room and here the gal from the front desk gives my dog his shot, checks him over and puts ointment in his ears. ( When I got home and later went to put the ointment in his ears, the foil cap on the ointment hadn't been broken, so when she was doing all this in the office no medicine was even in his ears- I broke the seal myself to get the ointment to come out!) I like the vets there but the girls at the front desk are extremely unprofessional from the start and they definitely shouldn't be in the exam room giving shots! I think I start looking for a new place!!

I took my dog there last year to have a second opinion about a hip surgery she needed and I was very impressed with the staff, prices and surroundings.

First of all, the price for the hip surgery was about $600 cheaper than my old vet and they took really good care of her. The doctors are top-notch and really know their stuff. My dog is now happy and pain free.

The waiting room and examination rooms are very clean and looks more like a human clinic than for pets.

PROS: Reasonable prices, friendly staff, great doctors
CONS: None
