Jensen Tire & Auto is Superb!

by troy n.

I was in a hurry! had a plane to catch at Eppley, I had a tire going flat on the road. I stopped at a Tuffey's tire on west maple, they would not help me other than air my tire, they even send me down the road to Jensen or wal-mart, well I would rather not shop at walmart and the first place I came across was Jensen tire #22, well, to say the service was excellent!, they had me out of there and on my way with 4 new tires in less than an hour and they had one tire machine down, I got to the airport and everything was superb. Mark Lincoln and the rest of the crew a BIG thanks!, I will definately be back!!! and a Thanks to Tuffy's as well, for referring me to Jensen's Tire!! Thanks Troy Nickels Columbus Ne.

dont go unless its an ER or small job

by a.m. l.

Oh wow, I thought we were the only ones. My husband is older, so I have to confront them about why the car they kept fixing wasnt fixed, one bad thing after another, a couple grand later. MY sons car too. I got angry finally and demanded service. i was told I was "banned " from coming back. I thought they treated me poorly and this was even after I called the main office. Well it looks like I am not the only person that had a really awful negative time with this company. Clearly it is run by a man with no regard for women.

Terible customer service

by andy j.

I took my wife's 2006 Honda CRV to have new tires put on last week, and oil change. When I picked it up I asked the guy if they changed the gasket on the oil plug as this model seems to leak if it is not changed every time. He snapped "it would have been nice to have that information before" I suppose it would have been, But I was simply asking a question. He went on to say that it was closing time and his guys were too tired and hot to check it, and beside, he'd have to drop all the oil. I told him all he had to do was take out the plug and hold your finger over the hole and put it back in with a new gasket and plug. Other words were exchanged...too much to type here, but I have never had a problem with Jensen before and been there many times. I will never return. I guess the term the customer is always right doesn't apply anymore..at least not there!!!!

Stay Away from here!!!

by Joe M.

This is not the place you want to take your car. The prices for tires and service are crazy! The management sucks, and the people that work there are slooow and seem like they dont know what they're doing. I would avoid this place at all costs. Save time and money and take your car somewhere else!!!

Tune Up Scam

by Allen B.

I was told I would get platinum plugs but did not. At least they did not charge. After leaving the care ran worse and when I took it back the cleaned and air censor and tried to charge me.

When I disagreed with things I was told all they did was change the spark plugs for $50 and nothing else. I was even told by Jay and Brandon to never come back.

You can go to advanced auto with you service engine light on and they can tell you your cars issues for free.

Jensen a Great place to go if you want to spend a lot of money and get nothing fixed.

terrible every time

by Aaron B.

Last time I was in there, they put new shocks on my classic 72' convertible. They forgot to put all the bushings and spacers on one side. I noticed this when I was changing out a ball joint later. they gave me a new shock which I installed myself.

Around the same time my sister took her explorer in for a repair, they broke the windshield when they put it on the lift. They then blamed her stating that the windshield must have been cracked, it wasn't. I called the manager and tried to get a resolution, he was a punk and laughingly told me to go ahead and take him to court. I called the home office that also wouldn't do anything until after I threatened the better business bureau and court ( my wife is an attorney). Eventually they put in a new windshield for $100.00. I asked a friend who worked at another location about this and he said it could only happen if they put the car on the lift wrong.

Stay away at all costs

Outraged in Papillion

by Anonymous

Jensen Tire and Auto is a place to avoid at all costs. During the short time they were mounting and balancng my wheels and tires, they slashed the leather upholstery in the back seat of my car with a razor. Why were they in the back seat, is beyond me. Now, I have $500 worth of damage to my car. They refused to accept responsibility, so we're now in litigation with the police and my insurance company. Stay away from Jensen at all costs. Avoid doing business with them, or you'll be victimized and vandalized as I was.

Give everything a second thought

by Curt P.

First-- Anytime any mechanic tells you this or that, think it over. you can always go back and have it fixed if the car runs OK. That being said, the "check engine" light came on in my vehicle, and the Jensen Tire shop in Fremont wanted to hook it up to the "diagnostic computer" to see what was wrong-- just to hook it up was $80. I told them I would come back later, and went to get on oil change since they were busy. I went to Jiffy Lube, and after the oil change, the technician came in and told me that the oil pan gasket was shot and they replaced it for nothing. These gaskets run only 25 cents. When I drove it out, the "check engine" light was off and hasn't come on since. Hmm, 25 cents for $80? I'll take the 25. REMEMBER-- a mechanic working for a national chain or somebody else is a salesman too, but give things a second thought before impulsively saying "yes'! 1 star

What A Ripoff

by Thomas R.

I haven't taken a car to Jensen in quite sometime, and after my latest experience I remember why. I had a slow leak and went for a tire repair. They asked if I wanted a rotation also. Since I was leaving on a trip to Wyoming I thought that would be a good idea so I said yes. When I went back to get the car about an hour later they warned me that my brakes looked bad and I should have them serviced. Against my reservation I said go ahead, WHAT A MISTAKE! I also authorized an oil change. The brakes which have never been a problem before won't stop squeaking, the car still reports that service is due and the darn tire is leaking again!

PROS: None that I can see
CONS: The enire experience with them

Jensen tire always give my car a therough evalutation and has never tried to trick me into extra repairs. They are very competitive with pricing and tend to do excellent work.

Jensen TIre: Good Work, High Prices

by Mary F.

Jensen TIre, at least the ones in the Omaha Metro area, have a tendancy to do very good work, are speedy, but overcharge. Going to jensen is like going to a movie theater to buy snack food - you can get service just as good somewhere else. My family has five cars: two that are five years old, one that is ten, one that is nineteen, and one that is fourteen (and a right piece of junk.) WE are frequent visitors, especially for my Sable. Here is an overview of service.
The Good - THere service is very fast. Alot of the time its same day service, depending on which location you visit. They also have an account process where you can pay off yor work in payments, which is the reason we stay there despite high prices. THe people are friendly and honest, and treat your car with respect.
THe Bad - Overcharging. 80 dollars for a transmission flush, 35 for an oil change, just name a few. Also, they like to tell you all the things that are wrong with your car, and they're cunning salesman. THey'll tell you that you need to do this or that a lot, even if you really can't afford it.
Overall, if you want good service, go to jensen. Lots of people say that they screw you, but that's not true. THey're friendly and fast, but you'll pay for the difference in service that you get.

Jensen Tire

by Beth S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,911

Jensen Tire has been in the Omaha area for a LONG time, and there is a good reason they have stuck around successfully. They have great selection, great people and great prices. I buy all of my tires from Jensen because I know they are looking out for my best interest.

An O.K. place to have work done on your car.

by mari h. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,690

Jensen Tire has a decent selection of tires but the employees are not very friendly and the work always seems to take a long time to complete. Easy to get an appointment there though.
