Rented from them for two years. Married couple in mid 20s, no children, no pets. The first year was fine, but when we went to move out, it all went to hell.These people are crooks. I made sure my place was spotless ( We spent and entire week after moving out caulking, cleaning, mowing, pulling weeds, etc), took very good care of the lawn, and was an overall landloard's dream tenant. Our neighbors could contest to this, as they saw us there so many nights, scrubbing and mowing till late in the evenings.They robbbed us of our deposit! And when I called about the 400 bucks ( Chain link fence cleaning, are you serious???!) they took from us, Larry just told me that "the video tape doesnt lie" and fed me a bunch of excuses, even accusing me of hear-say. Being out of state, I cannot do anything about it. I hope that the new tenants they get in there trash the place and are a pain in Larry's butt. Karma is a B****! I know I may sound like an angry person who one may assume is angry without merit, but I assure you, this is a horrible place to rent from. We paid our rent early or ontime EVERYTIME, only had no issues when we did our 1 year walk through before renewing our lease. HORRIBLE! I would NEVER Recommend them to ANYONE! Please do yourself a favor and do not rent from here or you will be out a deposit without merit and have someone be VERY rude to you.

I was at a crossroads in my life and after my band fell apart and moved out, I had to make a decision. Re-enlist in the Air Force or take the Civil Service Defense Department job in Washington DC. This would mean that I had to break my lease two months early. I thought I was ok under the military clause I signed with Management One-1st Choice. They seemed like nice reasonable people when I moved in. I let them know two months in advance and as soon as they found out I was breaking the lease I was treated like garbage. They were rude and demanding. I found out the military clause didnt cover a standard military seperation so I was responsible for the house till the lease was up or someone else moved in. After speaking with an Air Force lawyer I learned that the standard military clause, which is used by most if not all establishments, should include seperations. On top of that I had to pay an advertisement fee. I realise that some of the fault lies on myself for not reading the fine print. I just want everyone to know these people are not military friendly.
